Why are people always talking pass rusher?
NoSaint replied to Marvlevydraftdaygenius's topic in The Stadium Wall
a guy that can get there in a 1-1 matchup changes the game. It’s been a minute but hopefully you’ll get to see that from someone next year -
about a coin flip. I think the rams are the more talented and mature team - but down 2 of top 3 WRs, TE1, and RB1 coming off a major injury and qb limping…. Hard to come back.
-
Just kind of dislikes their team building philosophy
-
you also clearly hate the rams for unknown and seemingly personal reasons
-
6 months from a blown Achilles im not sure he should be a volume play yet, honestly

did some city slicker steal your first girlfriend?

Should’ve been my a flag on the bengals again there

Sean McVay considering stepping away from coaching?
NoSaint replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
ironically, driven by their worst contracts - in house signings of core guys like galette and graham. And compounded by their coach being suspended and picks stripped. Also they were 11-5 in 2013. How far can you stretch 2010s signing of…. Alex brown? in 2010. I think the Saints cap situation and 3 year 7-9 stretch is one of the most misused arguments out there but that is just my humble opinion. hell, the rams might be the second worst misuse as they get ready for another appearance after stacking crippling move after crippling move on top of their future that was mortgaged years ago -
Danielle Hunter, DE, the perfect trade candidate

yea, must really suck to be a chiefs fan with that super bowl parade they had. It’s downright chilly in February. No one thinks if the consequences of adding dominant pass rushers. -

yeah - only took 16 years of saying it for it to happen there -
agreed on most fronts here. And will say that our mental health facilities didn’t always have sterling reputations when there were more of them. I think the problem is people press for how do we handle bannon today. And the answer is we don’t have a really viable alternate to pushing him into cement, steel and often harrowing violence. not knowing the ins and outs of him specifically, I will say there are ways we could tie prison back towards rehabilitation and not just retribution. Not easy, not instantaneous- but I think there are ways to work on culturally shifting the conversation to create a better chance of successful re-entry to society on the backside. Does he have a brain injury that needs treatment? What’s his drug situation? What types of traumas does he need to process. I like to believe you can take someone off the street and take a swing at some of that stuff while they are out of society instead of letting them get further out on the fringes In terribly unhealthy situations.

Quinton Spain comments on release from the Bills

Kromer is very smart in both coaching up the OL but also run game design in general. was quite happy with the hire -
we have talked about it before too… there’s nothing to be gained by being the angriest guy on the board about a guy none of us know much about. if I can be the most pissed off at Justin bannon - and the quickest at that - it doesn’t get me anywhere but angry. If I can say the dude is a human, and was seemingly really going through some ***** it doesn’t let him go free - it just gets me in touch with some humanity, and contemplation about things like faith. there’s enough to be angry about without raging against this guy who had the world at his fingertips and somehow found himself huddled in the corner hiding from ghosts. That’s blues, not reds, for me.

all fair, the new link I just shared talks about cte as a court defense, and the challenges of cte paired with drug use being a real challenge in front of a jury. honestly, don’t have the bandwidth to be a bannon expert researcher but it’s an interesting topic in the abstract of head injuries, emotional trauma of his best friend committing suicide and potential self medication with drugs. I won’t claim to have any idea how his puzzle pieces fit together other than there were likely some pieces missing or damaged and it caused a bunch of trauma to a bunch of folks.
-
I don’t think anyone is saying give the guy a hug, apologize to him for his tough situation and let him go. but if we can agree to accept he was for whatever reason not in his good mind (may prove wrong as hes available to be evaluated but for a chat here let’s agree something is up and he’s not totally faking it)— do you think your loved ones are safer in 20 years with him locked up in prison 15 years and released or receiving some sort of comprehensive treatment program for whatever was going on and seeing where that goes over the long horizon?
-
I mean, the guy was described as crouched in a corner hiding from the Russian mafia and shot the first person to open the door. whether drugs, some sort of schizophrenia, a traumatic brain injury, or combination thereof — seems the guy wasn’t all there when it happened. Doesn’t mean it’s ok, but as you boil down what’s going on, you may find a much more productive way for both Bannon and society figure out next steps from here instead of cookie cutter lock him up and toss out the key. im not sure who else is included in “we” but if you could share it would help me cross reference and update my list of people to judge.

Alvin Kamara arrested in Vegas after Pro Bowl

if he and his crew jumped a line guy including kicking and punching him dozens of times after he was already on the ground - that’s pushing past just a fight. -

to be fair, they might not have completed interviews with others, getting the video etc… until after his workday started. At that point, why not bring him in at the close of business in a less confrontational manner
