  1. comparing a rule at detriment to player safety but helping fans bet to drunk driving is a bit much
  2. that’s pretty much 100% the reason. It’s not like he was trying to get defenses to respect his threat to scramble. He didn’t want dudes hitting low or giving it extra attention in piles.
  3. Yea but this is shades of catching him going 4 over the speed limit or slow rolling a stop sign and screaming he needs harsh punishment as a repeat offender. hell, it’s like him being a passenger in that car as he doesn’t issue injury reports for the bucs.
  4. 32 teams do this the big punishment will be a fine and not some suspension or loss of picks If forced to bet I think joshs non throwing shoulder was not 100% and I don’t blame anyone for leaving it off the reports if true. Being forced to disclose key players have vulnerable spots to target has never been a rule I love.
  5. meh. So you could kick a chip shot field goal is what you are saying
  6. I wonder the actual level of consistency. a guy not strapping his helmet is one thing. If Ben’s aware of the trend, he could start using it as a trick. They start selling out on it and suddenly he knows what the defense is doing and they think he’s doing the opposite thing on a big play.
  7. Yea but if we are in the super bowl this year, you might think twice about not filling the hole at CB2 more immediately. (again, not pointing at this guy but… generally speaking)
  8. you aren’t making a contested jump shot or driving to the rim either. It’s like me saying I could hit a baseball off a tee but not score on an nhl goalie.
  9. Obviously not the case in KC but May sometimes be by design. What was our record in games Scott chandler got like 8+ catches? hollister May have had some catches to keep them in the game but Lockett didn’t have catches to win the game. I’ll let the other team feed a backup TE all day, generally. just have to figure out that kc situation still
  10. Is that an estimate or did you google map the distance?
  11. I’m even fine with a very good CB2, but this guy wanting ELITE money and being who he is- I’m not racing. I said in a different thread that if not for the history a guy like Gilmore on a short deal for just shy of top dollar is more the fit there. Savvy vet on an end of career deal not the guy trying to reset the entire market at CB
  12. with a cornerstone qb they can win a lot all the time… but occasionally you have to put the chips on the table to go after a ring… and that rarely bankrupts you. this isn’t the guy I do it for though.
  13. Counterpoint - it was 5 of his season total 25 catches.
  14. I’ll buy this cb 2 and 3 will probably see darn near the same snap count. Returners are super low impact. Qb3 is never interesting. the guards would be the only major impact on the list- and I’ll put DE over that.
  15. To compete with Sweeney and hollister? Sure. im not racing to do it, but if his ankle checks out he could at least be a good presence for the team in a TE room that has very little talent to be protective of. not my top addition if given choices but wouldn’t be upset if it happened
  16. you can point at Stevie, but he’d have been the best WR on this backup roster… and Robert woods walks in ahead of our backups. Fred and CJ are both better. Cordy and wood on the line would instantly be your top 2 in this roster. Chandler would walk into your locker room as starter. and that ignores the much stouter defense with guys like Jerry, Kyle, Mario, Gilmore, Byrd, before even reaching the kiko tier of player. that was a not very good 6 win team. Your roster is worse. With any given Sunday, and extra week and no Brady could they hit 6? Sure. But this talk of challenging for the division is less likely than the talk of them getting the top pick. And that’s assuming 100% health out of our backup squad.
  17. he’s fine as a backup. but in this scenario he has no weapons, no line, and will be playing from behind. the premise is constructed around all of the players generally belonging in the league, and any one of them being capable to contribute to a team. But none of the guys are cornerstones that just win matchups every single play. And you need those guys.
  18. would be taken to the wood shed weekly.
  19. I think you mixed up the verbiage somehow. We are donating to avoid seeing it, right?
  20. Drafting late in the round and targeting a prototype at a premium position is taking a big swing for the fences, and not just trying to put a ball in play to get on base. in turn it comes with being put on both the bust and value lists and not just quietly sliding under the radar.
  21. Ever heard that song video killed the radio star? Could be a fun cover. Not sure why it popped to mind. jokes aside- fun stuff man. If you didn’t actively call out flubs, I think folks would just go ahead and praise you still. It’s clear you are talented and have put work in.
  22. the bonus goes over the first 5 years after signature not the first 5 years added. next year they clear all that taysom hill funny money unless he proves to be a franchise qb
  23. that should get us a pretty good list of like 40 or so guys. would you prefer to make a burner account to catfish Todd Collins or do you prefer the in person approach? I’m just hoping not to get assigned big Ted Washington jokes aside, it’s probably a bit ridiculous to think Bruce changed much here unless the player makes a decision to open up. The same people who knew and weren’t talking about it the last 25 years probably aren’t about to spill the beans suddenly.
