The defender was camped in front of the WR. I don't think anyone believes that was a "just missed" TD. It was another "bad" throw by Allen. This isn't Rodgers, Brees, etc. who you can say, "oh, random misplaced throw." The 2 point conversion was a pinpoint throw by Darnold, not sure how that was luck. That was a 5 year ago Big Ben type of play by Darnold. The Bills were a HOT MESS in the 1st half. There is no way to sugarcoat it with "well, we almost didn't turn the ball over." The halftime adjustments were fantastic, but the 1st half was really, really bad. Including the play-call of handing it off in the endzone against the Jets D. That should e a QB sneak to get it out of the danger zone there.

Great points about the team looking young. I also think with so many new players, it took them a while to get in rythym. I expect the O line in particular to look much better this week. will be interesting to see if Manning handles the pressure as well as Darnold. I was really impressed on a couple of plays by Darnold (mostly in the 1st half) of him avoiding the rush. But with the game on the line, Darnold faded. Manning won't do that.

stopping the run will be key. I'm not sure what to do with Milano. As @Virgil points out, having him cover Barkley ensures good tackling. ON the other hand. E. Engram is a beast of a receiving TE. Perhaps put Edmunds on Engram and Milano following Barkley around? Otherwise, rush Manning and he should throw and INT or two.

I like this. Allen had some bad body language late in the first half. Not sure what happened at halftime, but the D--as usual, never melted down even when the O was scoring points for the Jets. The O line eventually started to gel, Daboll used Singletary to get some yardage and open up the passing game. Good in game composure and adjustments following atrocious play in the 1st half.

I'm not a hater by any means, and I really appreciate the OP putting this together as it highlights positives that the Bills can and hopefully will build upon. Some of Allen's INT's were not his fault. The fumble/sack was. He also got lucky. The Jets dropped a pick right before our first FG/points of the game. All in all, the 1st half was as bad as it was. Driving down the field to turn it over is BAD. Good teams (Pats, Saints, Seattle, etc) don't do this. It was a positive that we can move the ball, but we need to finish drives. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand-grenades as the saying goes.

YOU. You are Mr. Positive in the game-day thread! I did not expect the offense to generate any points after going down 16-0. I thought the D would continue to play well, but didn't see any positive plays coming from Allen. However, Allen wore out Mosley by continually throwing the ball to him, and alas, he couldn't handle it. Mosely goes out, Bills come back.

I hope Foster's foot heals quickly. I'm guessing the plan is to get him on the field with Brown. Try to cover them both with Beasley and a TE going underneath. Chunk play time!

I was distracted during every single good Allen throw. Literally, all preseason and all of yesterday, if he made a good throw, a kid was distracting me, I was out of town, or something else. I'm waiting for the Bills to pay me to not watch games!

Great revamp of the O-Line by Bean. The Jets run D is NASTY. Singletary looked like a combo of Shady and Gore. Love his running style. I expect better games from Gore going forward when not facing the Jets caliber run D every week.

not bad. Will be interesting to see if the Bills Run D can stop Barkley. He's a better back at this point than Bell. Good test for the run D. We shut that down, we should be okay as long as the pass rush keeps this up. Liked the blitzing last week. I think Darnold handles that better than Manning will.

good question. I'd pull him. Give the team a chance to win. Let the guy watch it from the bench. Sometimes that helps. Keeping Allen in has not helped. He was better last year after his injury and watching from the sideline. He is not the answer at QB. Perhpas Barkely can hold it down until our 2020 draft pick is ready.

Allen is a terrible draft pick. Guy with a terrible completion rate at Wyoming, and he is still inaccurate. Move him to TE, RB, WR, whatever, cut him. Draft or get FA QB nexts year. Allen the clear worse 2nd year QB.

please bench Allen. He is sucking. We need a QB next draft.

What's that say about Allen? He is AWFUL. Put Barkely in, try to salvage this game. I could care less about what it does or doesn't do to Allen's psyche. What QB do we draft next year, because this crap continues, we better draft one.

Darnold is light years ahead of Allen. Compre that play to what Allen would have done there, which is likely throw an INT.

if they are going to review non-called PI, you should be able to review uncalled OL downfield. In fact, that is prob the easiest non-call to review.

Buffalo. Miami is supposed to be a dumpster fire. Allen looks to have regressed (minus easy passes to Beasley). The offense is a joke. Time for a real QB. Allen is the worst QB of that draft. I wish it were not true, but Darnold is MUCH better than Allen. Why draft a QB with historically bad accuracy concerns???
