  1. Duke Johnson may be better than Miller, and my guess is Houston picks up a roster cut RB. Perhaps we can trade one of our 10 backup RB's for a 7th.
  2. Name the leading rushers who have been cut? Also, QB way more valuable than RB. You manage the QB position different than others. Seems like NFL coaches agree with me on this one
  3. It's not that he needs to be babied. He performed above-average in preseason. If he can replicate this in the regular season, you have a capable backup QB. A capable backup QB is very important. It's not "babying him" but managing an asset to get the most of out it. I don't get how some people can't grasp that
  4. Happy Birthday Astro!
  5. thanks for the reminder. Totally forgot we are on tonight!! I've been out of the Country for the first 2. Can't wait to see this one. But if Allen sucks, I expect Pegs to send me back out of the country. I'll have to figure out how to contact him of course....
  6. 100% this. Take the pressure off him by putting him in at the end of games. In fact, I'd do this regardless of who my backup is to give that guy game experience in case something happens to the starter. But esp. with Peterman. He's a legit NFL backup based on preseason work, then in games, he becomes panick-man.
  7. You play starters that need to play to continue to develop (Allen, the OL, etc). Playing Newton (not sure how long he played) for over a quarter is questionable. I believe the Bills of the 90's barely played starters in preseason after they started the SB runs. Knock off some rust, then let the backups get some experience. But this is totally different than what we have now. We need to play our starters.
  8. I'd say following blockers, showing an improved NFL Football IQ, and having 100+ yards with the 1's. On the other hand, even if he doesn't make the 53, I'm putting him on our PS instantly. Not exposing him to other teams through the international system. He could always be taken off our PS, but he's great depth.
  9. we could have just acquired 2 starting TE's in one draft if Knox performs and Sweeney keeps this up.
  10. Would likely beat us twice: KC. The offense can put up points, and the D is much improved. NO. Same as KC. In fact, NO may be the best team in the NFL right now. Close, but not in list: Indy: Very close to top list. Great balanced team, but not sure their offense is good enough to put enough points up on our D. See this as a low-scoring game and we would likely split. Pats: don't think they win twice. Will find out this year. TB is older, and Oliver is there for the pressure. I think we can score on their D. Steelers: Good offense, but I like our D, and their D is not elite anymore. Browns: paper team right now.
  11. Shaq/Murphy rotation. Shaq until pass rushing downs. That's fine. Even if Shaq is inadvertently in on a passing down, the pressure from Hughes and Oliver will force the QB to him, and he's capable at cleanup. Not a bad combo to have. Can't have a Hughes at every DL position. I think we address this with a stud in next years draft or FA.
  12. sports are hardly meaningless. they teach a lot of valuable lessons that can be applied to life. it’s interesting that you find the world a miserable place and sports meaningless yet post here?
  13. i think he makes the final roster
  14. McCloud. Cool name for a WR, and seems to have put in a lot of work over the offseason. Also interested to see who makes the final spot at DE. I don't think he qualifies as a "bubble" guy anymore!
  15. Build a dome downtown. Then compete for the Final 4 and other events. A year-round, downtown stadium (which is what a Dome is) would bring concerts, and other activities to downtown. If Buffalo's rebirth is anything like Pittsburgh, and I suspect it is, having a lot of events downtown drives increases in restaurant and hotel openings, existing ones staying open longer, and provides a place for people to congregate before and after events.
  16. hopefully someone gets by another team and we get a capable backup.
  17. With Morse out, who has been taking the snaps at center?
  18. yeah, not sure why. Perhaps he dosen't want Wallace "looking over his shoulder," and wants him to play loose. Only think I can think. Wallace can't really have the role locked up. (love the depth at that spot. 3 legit starters)
  19. This thread, including the title, is making my morning. So much funny stuff in here. I have them as the worst team in the league. Dolphins may be close behind. They are in quasi-rebuild mode. Seems like they could be stuck there for a while. Really depends on if the Dolphins D can sustain another year of carrying the team, because the offense looks offensive.
  20. use the DirectTV website. I can't get Direct TV where I live due to a house in front of me blocking the Sat reception (unless the satellite was put in our yard). I've been able to get it online since I cannot get it otherwise.
  21. I could see Shady or Yeldon to San Diego is the Gordon thing isn't worked out quickly. Could get a decent return on such a trade. I wouldn't trade Foster. He just needs the OC and WR coach in his ear every day. Hopefully vets like Beasley and Brown will show him what it takes to have sustained success at WR.
  22. First three weeks: Ed Oliver Time!!
  23. I hope he has been. Because he's been Mr. Positive about the Bills all off-season. That said, he also seems to know more about the Bills than other national reporters.
  24. I started reading it, but quit half way through.
