  1. Past hour
  2. McD the QB whisperer. By all means, don’t be afraid to discuss your thought process.
  3. What's funny about that is that actual Italians add vowels to the end of words and Italian Americans remove them.
  4. It's very possible the offense can struggle without the presence of a true number 1 WR target or multiple consistent "WR2" type players to complement Kincaid. But I also think that the Bills if the offense is struggling could make a move for a WR at the trade deadline. Once Tre's money hits the Bills will have 12.7 million in space. Take out the rookies, Practice squad and a few million for in season emergencies and you have about 3-5 million to actually play with plus another 6 million possible if they convert the rest of Josh's salary to a bonus. That 9-11 million isn't a crazy amount to play with prior to the season in terms of "Star" WR trades. But by the trade deadline 3-5 million can go a long way and 9-11 million can go a really long way. And considering the Bills have an extra 2nd and 4th round pick from Minny and Chicago they have the draft ammo to make any trade.
  5. This is true. Kemp actually beat Abrams because so many black people died from dehydration while waiting in line to vote. To make matters worse, none of them have been identified because they weren’t able to get Drivers Licenses.
  6. I have no priors on the matter. Whatever happens happens. You made a claim and I see and hear many people with legal expertise, some of them no fans of Trump or non-liberals in general, that refute your claim. I was curious as to how you believe yourself correct and these other accomplished people wrong. Your final say was “well maybe they haven’t read the documents”. Embarrassing. You have shown yourself to be full of hot air in the past and have done so again tonight.
  7. This is the disconnect for me. It's one thing to say "I think he should make a trade". Or have hope that he does. It's the definitive expectation that he will and claiming that a trade is "Beane's plan all along", that I disagree. You condemn other posters for thinking they know how Beane operates (based on historical evidence, no less)... and then claim to know how Beane is going to operate. I think the plan was to specifically NOT have a high priced, big star WR with a "just give me the damn ball" attitide that Josh feels he needs to force it to or they're going to get upset. To not have 1 WR specifically that the Defense wants to take away. He spoke of wanting to create a room where week to week, the #1 could be interchangable. These are things, some of which, he said directly on the Chris Long Podcast: I believe this year, he looks at the guys that the Offense was run through down stretch (Dalton Kincaid, Khalil Shakir, James Cook) as potentially still the top guys. It's about evaluating their progressions in Years 2 and 3 and seeing if they take a step forwards. He wants to see what Keon Coleman looks like as a Rookie and what Curtis Samuel brings - both long term investments. If any of those guys (Kincaid, Coleman, Shakir, Samuel) step up to be a #1 Guy, than there's no need for a big name guy next year and wouldn't have been a need for one this year. So I don't see them investing in one before then, the earliest being mid season if it isn't working out or there's injuries. To do so now would be to limit reps on guys that he's evaluating as possibly being "the guy". And ultimately, it boils down to what we lost and what he's done already. We lost 4 guys this offseason. We brought in 5 guys this offseason. And that doesn't even count 2023 Draft Pick Justin Shorter coming off his redshirt Rookie year, Futures, and UDFA additions. We lost Deonte Harty. He was replaced (greatly) by Curtis Samuel. We lost Trent Sherfield. He was replaced by Mack Hollins. Going into the Draft, we needed replacements for Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. They spent their first pick on Keon Coleman to replace one. Post Draft, the question I had was "does Keon Coleman replace Stef or Gabe?". If he replaces Gabe, we'd probably do something bigger. If he replaces Stefon, we'll probably sign a FA like MVS or Michael Thomas. Then we signed MVS and Beane called Coleman "The X" on the Podcast. Question answered, WR core finalized. To bring in a 6th WR this offseason just seems unrealistic. There's 5 guys who are locked in already and we only carried 5 last season. As it is, guys like Claypool and Shorter are on the outside looking in. Would I be opposed? No. But to say you expect it and it's "the plan"? I think you're definitely setting yourself up for disappointment. You can't ignore moves he made already.
  8. For sake of discussion, lets stick to the first 4 rounds of players the Bills picked this season, but first let me hit you with some data: I created a defensive metric called defensive splash plays, which is the sum of sacks, pass breakups, and INTs, broken down by Position and Round (I've only included Safeties and DTs). As an example, 2023 3rd round DTs had .45 splash plays per game in aggregate (Kobie Turner Y'all). For RBs and WRs, I just used scrimmage yards per game (bonus - can you pick out James cook's leverage without thinking about when he got drafted?) So - the Bills have 4 player whom conventional wisdom suggests will play this upcoming season. Keon Coleman (2), Cole Bishop (2), DeWayne Carter (3), and Ray Davis (4). I offered the data just as a reference point to answer the following 2 questions: What are your expectations for year 1? Can they beat the odds and still produce in year 3/4? We're all Bills fans here, so I'm more curious why you think they'll beat the odds, rather than if.
  9. It's not a lack of discipline that's responsible for that INT adot, at least not primarily imo I can think of several that were deep on third down... basically punts
  10. You put forth people you listen to asking me why they believe what they do even though I don’t have any knowledge of them. I did my best to explain the nuances of this case and why people disagree. You think this makes me a hack. I think it’s pretty clear that you’re not acting in good faith and are just searching for whatever confirms your priors. That, or your just incapable of understanding anything that isn’t black and white. I agree that you are most certainly a hack.
  11. Suppose you were to make a list of the successful draft picks they had prior to 2015. Then ask yourself, are there any guys on that list, who would have been unsuccessful in a post-2015 NFL? Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone who'd fit that description. But, your suggestion about the league changing could be correct in other, perhaps more subtle ways. Perhaps there was something they were looking for in players which became less common. Or maybe there was something they should have been looking for in players but weren't, which became more common. If I had to guess, I would guess that there may have been at least some changes in their front office, which may have influenced the quality of their results on draft day.
  12. I guess it would depend on whether or not I made a claim, as you did, that is refuted by a spectrum of accomplished individuals. You did a lot of typing today to end up at “maybe they didn’t read, maybe they are wish-casting”. One of us is most certainly a hack.
  13. Thanks—we owe those clowns nothing but continued domination of the East to match the precise # of our drought years imho. Sorry Drake, not sorry—you’re about to get Mac Jonesed by the best QB in the NFL.
  14. I have it on good authority around here that Shakir is primed for a breakout year so here’s hoping!!
  15. Exactly. If he had all three abilities, chances are we wouldn't have just signed him for a modest contract with a bunch of incentives
  16. Let me ask you something, and I encourage you to answer honestly. If I posted a long list of legal experts who agreed with me or were even more convinced of Trump’s guilt, would you provide evidence as to why they were wrong? Would you spend time explaining why they are all wrong? Or are you just a hack?
  17. Being reminded of Andre makes me jump down the rabbit hole of his YouTube highlights…<sigh> that speedy YAC stuff never gets old!! https://youtu.be/VNrl-WgnbRM?feature=shared https://youtu.be/GsNCMiRxyP4?feature=shared
  18. Definitely interesting, lots of space for discussion there. The point however was in relation to Davis implicitly being responsible for those when he wasn't for the most part, rather they were either bad throws and/or poor choices for throws. Allen liked Davis which is why his TD% was so high. It's also interesting that most were on the deep offensive side of the field.

  20. You can buy my club seats. $2k for the pair. After all, it’s important to you to watch your team clinch the playoff birth right? Heck, I’ll cut you a deal since you’re such a swell guy. $1700 and the tickets are all yours. No taxes. No fees. I’m doing you a solid and saving you some money from Ticketmaster. It’s a good deal for both of us.
  21. Peterson's comments on this game and this play definitely didn't reflect well on OC Dorsey's passing concepts and personnel usage and the ease in identifying and preparing for those tendencies. Davis' usage in particular in both the run and pass games had become insanely telling pre- and post-snap. Earlier in the game, Minn d-linemen were able to time the Bills negative goal-line sneak in part because of Davis' predictable motion. So obvious, so often. Are you suggesting Davis should have sped-up/shortened his route to protect inside leverage? I see it more as Davis didn't convincingly sell/threaten to the outside, especially in light of Peterson's expectation for Davis to break inside. Was Davis supposed to read Peterson's cheating inside and underneath and then break outside instead? Or did Dorsey simply telegraph the concept with his tendencies and personnel alignments and Peterson slow-played it just enough to bait Allen? Also some room to criticize the throw, given the DB's leverage. Mirror of the same basic throw he fired into Davis for their 4th TD in the 13 seconds game (just breaking right-to-left instead), late, low trajectory missile that's underthrown if the CB is trailing/anticipating.
