  1. Past hour
  2. The basics. Reading, math, and writing. I’ve rarely, if ever used Algebra, biology, or chemistry. Writing is probably the main skill I’ve been able to utilize for so long. I had a third grade teacher who preached good penmanship. I was eager to please and a perfectionist who attempted to execute cursive writing as it was displayed on the charts posted above the chalkboard. My very nice penmanship came in handy in high school when I frequently forged my mother’s writing to create get-out-of-class excuses. I still have great penmanship. Ironically, my wife’s writing is often illegible. We could make a fun party game out of guessing the words/items she’s written on her grocery list. I may sound like just another boomer here, but I think it’s a shame so many schools no longer teach cursive. I believe there will be few letters or personal written records saved in a drawer and read years later. The younger generations only send texts with little substance and most of their personal thoughts will be lost forever.
  3. Zach Davidson really flashed in his work with the first team. He is a strong candidate for most improved through the first three days while Hawes is already wowing people with elite blocking skills. It’s unlikely both can make the 53, but both belong on an NFL Roster opening day. (from Joe Reagan) wonder if they try to stash Davidson for one more year and then dump knox.
  4. I agree, the haters won’t be swayed and the cynical will be cynical.
  5. The hope I have is the way he seemed to finally be playing following the ACL, but just before the Achilles. He was super slow healing or trusting after the ACL, so maybe the same was true of the Achilles. Either way, love the guy!
  6. Are we sure that The King isn't a NYT journalist?
  7. Dang it!! Let me know if they become available for whatever reason
  8. How can you take a positive , Tre overachieving expectations and turn it into a negative ? Geesh lol
  9. I hope so too, still, watching somebody else doing it on Hard Knocks, I would be inclined to think it’s for the cameras a bit. The only way you ever really know is to follow him. He does this stuff all the time with no acknowledgement for it. The absolute best.
  10. I haven't read it in 30 years but I thought it was great when I did and I get the sense it's the kind of thing that will hold up over time. He's a really good writer and it's chock full of simple, sensible wisdom. It was a massive seller back in the day that probably gets reprinted frequently so I'm guessing you could find a used copy of it for under $5. I would say that yes, it is definitely worth checking out. If it turns out to be not your thing, you can always pass it along as a thoughtful gift.
  11. Imagine having Josh Allen as a brother 😅 your parents wouldn’t say he’s their favorite but u know he is deep down.
  12. We drafted Max Hairston so our 3rd string can beat the Pats after locking up the #2 seed?
  13. You are projecting mental weakness saying something like that... Instead of drawing a logical conclusion... You cling to an ideological justification for ethnic cleansing... Hamas is all you need to hear... How many children have died so far? The song remains the same...
  14. An offseason acquisition I tend to overlook myself, Moore could really make some noise in a receiver room desperate for someone to separate themselves (no pun intended.)
  15. The NFL network used to be gold. I loved “a football life“ among other greatly produced documentaries. The top 10s were fun & informative as well. I’ve always been more of a historical documentary type of person anyway so I’ve since moved to YouTube especially for the more deep cuts. This is the age of content so there is plenty of other stuff to watch if you don’t like this move. I’m sure the NFL sees it the same way knowing a tv station no longer has the impact it used to..
  16. This is intriguing me. Is it worth checking out?
  17. Today
  18. Hamlin is SOLID DEPTH, but we need him to remain that way ! I’m hoping Bishop has a killer offseason. He is no longer a rookie so hopefully McD will show enough balls to start him. A backfield of Bishop/Rapp is a physical one I would love to see with Hamlin spelling Bishop occasionally on deep pass plays.
  19. The more I see and hear about Taylor Rapp, I think he’s a legitimately very good Safety. Gotta stay healthy, but I think he could have a big year if Cole Bishop can remotely lift the floor of what Safety 2 has been next to him.
  20. We know one it WON'T be. 😉
  21. Just send me a dm with your email and I’ll send them
  22. @Another Fan @ExWNYer @Gugny Epic Keith: https://nypost.com/2025/07/26/sports/snys-keith-hernandez-bluntly-calls-out-hot-mic-heckler-shut-up/ Keith Hernandez had no patience for a rowdy fan at Oracle Park on Friday night. After Ronny Mauricio fouled one off in the second inning of the Mets’ 8-1 win over the Giants, a fan yelled, “That was a weak swing!” While SNY play-by-player Gary Cohen tried to keep the conversation on Mauricio, Hernandez jumped in about the fan. “Give that guy a hot dog so he can chew on something and shut up,” Hernandez said.
