Who's job is it to prevent injuries? Are they also out injured?
-
Ridley is toast anyway.

Will they show the replays on all of the Bills penalties that they didn’t show the first time?

Piggybacking off this, I really wish we'd find the Aaron Kromer of DL Coaches and back a brinks truck up to his house. Im not a doomer, but I do not believe we are good at developing young DL. We have some good players, but with the resources poured in we should be getting more. For example: imagine if we poured all the DL draft picks into the OL instead? I feel like we'd have 2 full OL's, one in top 3, and full 2nd string group in the top 15 across the league. Hyperbole a bit, but seriously I believe that. Obv no reason to do that, but damn we need a DL Kromer. Wish I knew who that is

Well, that puts you ahead of a lot of people!

I had more of an issue with not getting a playcall in and having to use the last timeout before 4th down. I don't blame them for using the timeout, a delay of game makes the FG further, and in buffalo weather that isn't a good thing. However, having to rush onto the field and kick at the 1 against a team known for blocking kicks isn't ideal.

Trump ❤️ Tariffs
The Frankish Reich replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Something very tommy eyerolls about him. This "unseen" is probably the dumbest commenter on Supreme Court matters I've ever, umm, seen. Yes the word "tariff" is different than the word "regulate." That's kind of what the law is all about, the meaning of a word used here and not used there. -
Serious question how good are 7-2 AFC teams (and LAC at 6-3)

I'd kill for the LB group! Not sure why you think they have weak LB's. They have fast hard hitting beasts dude. -
Game week thread - Bills at Dolphins
Sierra Foothills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, Reid wanted Mahomes to be physically abused in unprecedented fashion (15 QB hits) and for the Chiefs to drop to 5-4 and 3rd place in the division because he wants to keep things under wraps until the playoffs. There's no way that Reid was holding anything back for "later." 1) Cook is on the Practice Participation report as Did Not Practice due to an ankle injury. 2) The Bills are 9.5 point favorites. 3) Last year Cook averaged 14.94 touches per game. This year he's averaging 20.75 touches per game. 4) Aside from Josh, Cook's the most important player on the team. I don't think there's any question the Bills need to get another running back going for the good of the team and for the good of Cook. -
Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? “They still barely got past Baltimore.” Yeah - I’d hope it wasn’t a cakewalk. No one “blows through” playoff teams for four straight weeks. Sorry if dismantling one of the league’s best defenses (Denver) the week before skewed your idea of what postseason football looks like. This version of the Bills offense averaged 29 points per game in the 2024 playoffs - better than the much-hyped Joe Burrow offenses, which average 23 across seven postseason games and never topped 27. The 2x MVP Lamar Jackson Ravens average 19, by the way. Even Jalen Hurts’ “high-flying” Eagles check in at 30. Welcome to the NFL playoffs. It’s supposed to be ***** hard.

The tidbit I just heard is that we were on the phone all day with Tennessee trying to get them to eat most of Calvin Ridley's base salary but we couldn't come to an agreement on the required draft capital.

Republican Self Reflection Thread
Artful Dodger replied to JDHillFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And, interestingly, both Biden and Trump made the same mistake. They pretended they had a mandate when in fact it was a rejection of the previous president's policies. Trump is not prone to self-reflection and won't change, but if the Congressional Republicans don't want to get massacred in the midterms next November, they need to assert themselves and push back against Trump's less popular policies, such as his seemingly endless random and arbitrary tariffs. -
Gonna say... a wrist injury for a WR QB DB is much different than a DL... they pretty much put a cast on them and they go... i remember DLs beating people in the head with big ol club arms... clearly can impact ability to grab and tackle... but wouldnt keep him out.. and casted up wouldnt cause a reinjury...
-
They had better do that soon, because Gabe sticks out like a sore thumb when you look at WRs available on other teams' practice squads, and there is nothing but crazy-ass Dionte Johnson available amongst FAs. Someone else will claim him if we wait too long.

I am excited about the potential upside of DT Phidarian Mathis
DJB replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall
Only took 6 years to realize what every Bills fan had been saying the entire time. Add size to the DT spot -
Buffalo Bills strength and conditioning personnel have volunteered to work with the UB Bulls. UB coaches have removed players to an undisclosed location.

Mathis on the practice field today

Sauce Gardner to the Colts for 2 1st round picks (and AD Mitchell)
Bill from NYC replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I could not possinbly agree more. Sauce is good, but he grabs and holds and not at all worth two first round picks. Not even remotely close. They are in obvious need of a quarterback, and there seems to be lots of them comong out. Alabama won five straight SEC games and each team they defeated had a very good QB imo. The kid fron Texas A&M is said to be special. I saw the kid from Ole Miss and he looks really good. Even Arch Manning can play, and Ty Simpson is the real deal imo. This is just the SEC!!! I don't know when all of of these kids are draft eligible, but it would seem as if the Jets will have two first and two seconds in 2026, and 3 firsts in 2027. As you said, they will get a very good qb, unless they screw up big time (which is never out of the question for the jests). In any event, these trades were probably the most intelligent moves that the jests have made in the last 50 or more years. -
