Ravens at Chiefs - who do you want to have their third loss?
FLFan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Chiefs are toast this year regardless. I root for any loss that can be inflicted on the Ravens in this soft schedule, that just got a lot softer with the loss of Burrow to the Bengals. In addition to those you marked, I think the Browns will give them a tough time in Cleveland, and both MN and Pitt have a reasonable chance to beat them at home. -
Maybe look for an AM/Fm wrist watch I am sure that can sneak buy security and it also doesn’t have a removable battery. Not sure if they will use Bluetooth or have aux options but could work

NFL play calling tendencies through 3 weeks
hondo in seattle replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
I used to think Brady called the best game he could every week to optimize our chances of winning. And that makes total sense. I think coaches like Reid try to win today's game but, at the same time, are looking to show certain tendencies, hide certain plays, and so on. In other words, put things on tape to get future opponents looking one way so he can move another. I'm starting to believe that maybe Brady has become more like Reid. Albert Incognito, Richie's annoying but oft-quoted brother. -
Great fun if you're a European.

Any golf/ Ryder Cup fans in here?

What a disaster, they almost officially lost on Saturday -
Nope, no one selling in person outside the gates anymore. I’d say it’s unlikely to find tickets for $100 each (even in the 300s) unless you wait til riiiiiight before kickoff or even shortly after.

Why should it matter? If the Bills are a champion-caliber team, it’s up to them to win the games they should and not depend on the other guys. They’re not ‘in the hunt’. They’re in the driver seat and control their own destiny. -

My absolute favorite tennis was the World Team Tennis stuff with loud music, a lot of beer, a lot of laughs and great tennis. The raucous setting adds all the energy in tennis, imo. Hell, I’d rather PLAY there too, but I guess we did that with nobody watching. Our club in Sarasota had phones (before everyone had a cell) at each court to order pitchers of beer from the pub upstairs looking over the courts. Those were the days!

Good post, I don’t miss those old debates of whether Bama could beat the Bills. The QB position is always overlooked in these debates as well. An elite college program could have more talent, but they’d still lose to teams with better/more experienced QB play. An AJ McCarron led Bama, or Justin Fields led OSU wouldn’t have beaten any NFL teams because the QB’s are backup level NFL players.

Kiss trumps ass. Defend everything he does. Lie about everything. Lie. -
I’d be shocked if Belichick ever coached in the NFL again. He’s not winning at UNC, which could be a sign his years as a relevant coach are behind him. It’s common for people who were once great at something to not have it anymore. That’s not even mentioning the circus he brings. Belichick, the grumpy disciplinarian coach has allowed his girlfriend to become a sideshow. Any NFL team that’s comfortable with that situation would be crazy.

The top 5 scoring offenses in the NFL this year (points per game average) so far are; Baltimore; 37 Indy; 34.3 Detroit; 34.3 Buffalo; 34 Seattle; 27.8 (almost a full TD per game behind the Bills) I don't know what the Bills are doing but it's working. If Brady is doing this while playing things close to the vest, even better. -

I wonder if he'll be back at all this season. He was their best DL, without him an already thin group becomes a real liability. -

Go to any Goodwill or Salvation Army store. You'll probably find a pocket transistor AM radio.

I always thought it would have been interesting to hear the Bills radio broadcast announce the game live over the speakers at the stadium

Oh, I complain a lot about all these golf (and tennis) players. There needs to be a higher tolerance for crowd noise. It’s so soft.

I’m glad I also have football as an option today.
