Would you rather playoff seeding scenario?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
My overall choice would be the 3rd or 4th seed with Chiefs and Ravens out of playoffs. Having to beat NE in playoffs on the road wouldn't worry me and being the 3rd seed, good chance the conf championship would still be in Buffalo as I already knocked out the #1 or #2 in NE. Plus then would have at least one home game as a division champ -

You're the one who's worried about the economy. Evidently. -
Don't forget that Grable is still on the team and would be a strong candidate to replace Edwards at LG, assuming his concussion issues are behind him. If he's healthy and ready to come off IR, I wouldn't have been shocked to see Van Demark included in a trade package for a DT earlier this week. Since that didn't happen, it seems the team is content to keep Grable on IR for the year, unless there's an injury the creates a hole in O-line depth. Hopefully there isn't a longterm concern with the concussion he suffered in training camp.

Trump ❤️ Tariffs
The Frankish Reich replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Commerce Secretary Lutkin's family bought up rights to a ton of tariff proceeds to cash in if the courts say they have to be refunded. I think it was about 30 cents on the dollar. Those bets are looking good now. Here's what I expect (acknowledging that I have perhaps 3 or 4 readers here and not the 70,000 of some anonymous Twitter account): the tariffs based on the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (the ones at issue here) will be struck down. The Supreme Court will send it back to the lower courts to decide the "remedy" (including does money need to be refunded). And Trump (like Biden before him in the student loan forgiveness case) will try to reenact the tariffs under a different authority. -
A Sober Analysis of the 2025 Off-Year Elections
SCBills replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
JD Vance is likely the next nominee, with Rubio as VP. He needs this Administration to get its act together on the economy, but JD is a pretty strong successor to the absolutely whirlwind of Trump that’s dominated politics for 12 years. In the midterms though.. it really comes down to the economy. R’s still have a favorable map to retain the Senate and potentially hold the House, but Dems f***ing vote. No matter who, no matter when, they vote. And Republicans need to figure out how to mobilize their low propensity scattered base of white working class, married women, MAHA, conservative Latinos etc., to get to the polls when Trump isn’t on the ballot. While I think Newsom is incredibly talented as an Patrick Bateman-esque politician.. I don’t know that he can win in GA/NC/PA/MI etc .. and it doesn’t seem like Shapiro can get out of a Dem Primary.. after those two, the candidate quality drops quite a bit. -
I would love this as a poster!

I already said that Philly is the one game in question, didn't say they are going undefeated, just said that is the only game in question. The Patriots will lose control of the division back to us when we handle business in the next game against them, and make no mistake about it, we will beat them by multiple scores. Not sure why you think the Bucs and Texans are losses - the Bucs middling playoff team who lost to the better teams in the NFC against Philly and Lions - and the Texans are not even a playoff team. I promise you without question the Bills will be clear favorites in both those games, any loss would be an upset.

NeverOutNick replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
What a great topic! I could be talked into either side, but gun to head, I just wanna have the number one seed for once so give me that and hopefully the Chiefs and ravens get knocked out before the AFC championship game when we’d have to face them. -
How much does each one want per year? What will they sign in Buffalo for? Right now, Edwards Market Value in Spotrac is $20M per year. McGovern is $16M. I want Bosa, those guys and others. I just don't see everyone getting signed. Currently Bills have 40 players signed and $7M in cap space. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/_/year/2026

Game week thread - Bills at Dolphins

DSK, I have an idea of what you've done and you're a vet in my book. You've seen more hairy stuff than this vet has! And since you bring up heat... In the first Gulf War, my Cav unit was deep in the Arabian Desert, far from any official weather stations so I can't say precisely how hot it got. Some soldiers showed me thermometer readings in excess of 140 degrees. Now, these weren't scientifically calibrated thermometers, and I wouldn't swear to their accuracy. But I did see a weather model once that estimated the deep desert where we were at got to 115-130 that summer. The ambient heat from the sand, vehicles, etc. made it feel even hotter. And yeah, when you sat in an armored vehicle, you felt a bit like a turkey roasting in an oven on Thanksgiving. But when it got that hot, we tended to lie around semi-comatose if we could. Even small movements like swatting away flies required too much energy. We didn't have to play football, and that heat discrepancy on sunny Florida days gives the Fins an unfair advantage, which kinda sucks. -
The Bills are going undefeated and getting the number 1 seed. 🙄 The Patriots are likely winning the division as they have an easy schedule the rest of the way. The Bills have at least 3 more losses. Losses to Tampa, one of Houston or Pittsburgh and the Eagles. While the Bills are better than what they showed in their 2 losses they aren't as good as what those 2 wins showed.

Politics are pure blood sport. Ok.. so we’ve gotten the intended election night results from the shutdown that we wanted. How about we open it back up and extend the ACA subsidies one year… ….to set to expire right before the midterms Diabolical work

The problem with that idea is there’s no way Terry would ever feel “heard” enough under Lou. Brendan Shanahan was willing to come here as team president if he had autonomy. I’d rather go down that route than hire Lou but I don’t think that’s an option either for similar reasons. I don’t think Terry wants a team president at all. Maybe at some point he becomes desperate enough to try it but I’m not sure if/when that day will come.

Thats one of the most violent cheap shots Ive ever seen. It was wicked dirty. Burflict was the dirtiest player in the NFL. Most teams took him off their draft boards. Bengals love scumbags. Burflict went out of his way to ntarget Browns head

Ok. When you talk PFF, understand that they clarify a "deep ball" much different than what most fans are talking about. When your PFFs talk deep ball they are talking about any pass that is thrown over 20 yards to include deep outs, crossers ECT. When fans refer to a deep ball most of the time it's a go route, 40+ air yards ECT.

Trump ❤️ Tariffs
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Great question, Mumplestilskin. I'm at the mercy off the reporting (or lack thereof) as to current status of tariffs. One report suggests $90 billion has been collected and the proceeds are held by the US Treasury. That same report suggested refunds might well be in order if the SC determines his actions were beyond the scope of his authority. I imagine that will be a pretty serious cluster***. I saw another report that suggested $195b has been collected. From my perspective, we'll know when we know, and deal with the fallout when it happens. -

@chris heff I've been on the road for the last couple weeks and I've been meaning to make this thread I actually just went and checked and it looks like canisius actually lost to St Francis in regular season For some reason they're always the afterthought in my mind lol -
no Ed, no DaQuan, no DeWayne, no TJ, no Hoecht, no AJ. Phidarian is not in the Bills future, hes just an emergency signing, keeping a seat warm. Bills will probably call up another practice squad DL. Achane has burned the Bills before. Miami throws just under 20% screens. Miami runs a ton of misdirection, and play action 25% of the time. Thats a lot for any D to deal with. let alone a team with 2 new DTs. Bosa- Roos-AJ-Deone is solid. Salomon and Dorian will rush from the DT position a times. Landon Jackson has not looked good yet, but he gets a big shot Sunday. Phidarian was getting displaced all Chiefs game. I expect the same. So if some dont practice blind faith, its understandable to be a little nervous about DL

Bills don't "need" a WR, they need to use the ones they have better
Rockinon replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't believe this to be the case, really. There have been some deep shots. Most are going to TEs, though. Just watched a video breakdown by PFF, found in another thread. The Bills are using the TEs to make defenses think it's an obvious running play but instead it's a pass. Often a deep ball and it's been very successful. -

Canisius HS has the best player in New York state
Buffalo716 replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was just named in the recent top rivalries of America of high school football So yes it's still obviously a huge rivalry even between alumni St Joseph's is good usually the second best team in the Monsignor Martin.. canisius is just recruiting at a crazy level right now Canisius is a top 10 football team in New York state St Joseph's is probably top 50 so both are obviously very good : canisius, St Joseph and St Francis typically at top : the dominance might even flow every 3 years
