I read it as middle of the season. My mistake. Taylor's a much more complete back that's only 8 months younger that we'd only have to commit to for the last year of his contract. Regardless, at least we can agree that it's not good business to extend Cook now unless he significantly lower's his asking price.

A minor incursion maybe.

Look, it seems pretty obvious that Putin knew Biden’s tendencies, strengths and weaknesses. He moved on Crimea during O/B admin, he moved on Ukraine when Biden took over. We can only speculate why that happened, but the weakness of Democrat leadership and Biden in particular is a very strong and likely possibility. We do know he didn’t move during the Trump admin, which is interesting. Beyond that, was there an agreement in place between Biden and Putin to allow the move? Hard to say but it is strange that these things happened on the watch of a guy who sees himself as an expert on foreign policy. I’d suggest we follow the money on that, lost of people getting wealthy on that war. As for Vance and his statement, it seems pretty obvious to rational folk that he was direct, clear and in command of the dialogue. You seeing a disconnect to that statement while simultaneously finding the admin was looking to assist in the escalation….that may be because your president typically was active in the mornings, snoozing by noon and had a penchant for wandering off and being corralled by college aged interns.

I was less concerned about the guy himself, and more concerned about picturing myself sitting next to the average sized dude.

Arch at New Orleans? That sounds great!
-
Not a 4.4 burner but at 6’5” and 4.46 he’s plenty fast enough sometimes these guys don’t get an ample chance in college. Knox had 0 tds at Mississippi state cuz of the receivers there; cooke’s stats were pedestrian cuz he played at UGA part time, plenty of other examples

We can still extend everyone on the OL. The post you quoted is based entirely on the premise that we arent extending him right now and waiting until after the season. Cook >>> Taylor, and Taylor already has a higher price tag than Cook. That idea makes no sense.
-
Wonder if we can coax him out of retirement for a run at the super bowl as Josh’s backup. For real, though, what’s so bad about that idea? Wait, I will do the eyeroll emoji myself.

that guy will need to buy the seat next to him and keep it empty. How are most of the fans going to fit in those little seats?

Yes, because wars in Europe and the Middle East aren't adult problems.... -
An airline is the next logical stadium naming rights choice with little seats like these IMO.
-
That would be the most efficient way for the Saints to get the #1 pick n ct year
-
Still am very adamant that I don't think Arch is leaving after one season starting The whole Manning family knows he needs 20+ starts in college to have the best chance of success in the NFL
-
Yeah, he showed so much he was available for just over vet min, I know if hopium season and everyone thinks McD can make an all pro out of any Joe, but let’s be real here, Hyde a valuable player in GB, they had him all over the field and he did everything. Poyer is the ONLY guy who has been brought in that really went from nothing to stud. I’m not saying Forest can’t do it, I’m saying this is a lot like relying on Gabe Davis being your #2 when he’s never played close to that level.
-
Yeah but after taxes and paying his agent that's probably only $100 million. 😄
-
That's most of the fanbase. I thought the purpose of less seats were more comfortable, wider seats. I guess I am misremembering.
-
The Saints and Carr haven't really been on my radar since they are in the NFC, even though I live in Louisiana.
-
Do we still have Jake Fromm in his Covid bubble or did someone let him out? If the former, might be worth a 6th.
-
It will be a different NFL this year without ol' Derek, less crying, less big game heroics, and the playoffs will be just plain weird without his big games, leading his teams time and time again to unlikely wins. The Saints got so unlucky, thought they had the guy who would lead them to the promised land again, as almost all agreed.

The first look at this guy in rookie mini-camp gives the impression of a guy who wants to make this roster in September. He was running great routes and catching everything in sight. The guy is not a sub 4.4 burner, but he's got real good speed to go with enough size to make him look like a slender Keon Coleman. You have to give Brandon Beane credit. He misses on some early round picks like every GM does, but he hits on a surprising number of late round fliers. If Keon doesn't get his act together, maybe he should start looking over his shoulder. That is not to mention the fact that Jackson Hawes and Dorian Strong look strong as well.

I have always been kind of a numbers guy.

I'd rather use the money to extend Edwards and/or McGovern right now. See if Cook can replicate last year and then either let him walk for a comp pick or put the non exclusive franchise tag on him guaranteeing he'll be here until his age 27 season is up. He'd still cost less than $13.2m I believe on a RB franchise tag. By not extending him now they also could trade for a truly elite RB like Jonathan Taylor next year if the Colts are in rebuild mode as he enters the last year of his contract. Replicate what the Eagles and Ravens were able to do with Barkley/Henry. There's other unexpected opportunities that could open as well. The point being there shouldn't be a rush to re-sign him this year as it could prohibit a lot of possibilities next off-season.

I always believed conservatives would not be so easily duped by what is clearly satire, but sometimes people surprise me
