  1. Past hour
  2. For point #10, I find it weird the Bills D have difficulty with good QB runners since least year... as they practice against Josh and Trubinski! In the past, the Bills D never even allowed Lamar to run against them - and well, healthy Milano was the main reason. Obviously, the D played great yesterday and Dalton ain't running around. We'll see next week!
  3. I'm torn, something is definitely "off". The word malaise was used up thread and that feels accurate. The lack of WR talent on the outside is killing us and it feels like they are trying to work it out with no breakthrough yet. I also think the perception that the Pats* have somehow rocketed past us is not right. We played terrible and honestly had them if not for a few miracle plays by Maye. He's going to be a good one but he's not king of the mountain yet. Hopefully we can figure it out and get hot late. It would be a massive letdown to go out early or worse not get in at all. I wouldn't be surprised either way I guess.
  4. I have a sister-in-law and her husband living a bit north of Charlotte, the Denver area. If any thing, they are Steeler fans having lived outside Pittsburgh for a number of years.
  5. Yep, not high on my shopping list, and not even a trade id being looking to pay dividends this year... but if something else like this came along and we wanted to add some competition for him next year, I wouldn't hate it.... but so far down the list, im not paying a serious "in-season premium" to get it done. Not for this type of role. Save the real ammo for WR, S. Could be nice to send a flyer pick out for DT depending on Oliver/TJ Sanders outlook
  6. I was super excited about about the Max pick. Elite speed and quickness. Elam for example was a 4.3 guy, but was not quick. That's why he was such a jersey grabber. Max is both, and has a great understanding of zone coverage. I've been very critical of Beane, but he seems to be correcting his draft failures on his second go round. 1st go round. OG- Cody Ford (2nd round) Bust. Rb - Moss and Singletary (meh) kind of a bust. CB - Kair Elam (1st round) Bust. 2nd go round OG - Cybo (2nd round) really good pick. Above average day 1 starter. RB - Cook (2nd round) homerun. Top 5 back. CB - Mad Max. (1st rounder) Too early to call, but based off 1st impression, already better than anything we ever saw from Elam. I think this kid will be Beanes 3rd homerun. 4th if we were to count Walker, but I'm not including dline yet.
  7. And they know if they wait until the actual deadline (a week from Wednesday), some team will panic and give them what they want. Meyers is the only WR that we know for a fact is on the block, and at least three teams want to make an addition at the position. The price will be sky high.
  8. Matt Bove says this team can absolutely win a SB, but they go as far as 17 takes them. I tend to agree with that despite my frustration currently. If 17 is on a heater they can go places regardless of talent.
  9. I’m less optimistic based on a few things. -injury- ed is out for the year. Bosa hasn’t been injured yet, but that’s likely to come. Bernard is always dinged up. Milano always dinged up. Shaq has played great, but hasn’t played much the last 2 seasons due to injury. If benford gets hurt (which is likely based on history) our cornerback unit is in big trouble. Our only 1T is injured (and old). Our DT situation is scary and we desperately need Sanders to return and pay some dividends. - KC, NE and Indy are all playing GREAT complimentary football and have easy schedules. - our passing game is relegated to WR screens and we rarely ever throw the ball to the RBs (which is unfathomable imo). -I was feeling sick about our defense, but things are looking up a bit with McD involved in play calling. Hoecht is a baller and brings exactly what we need. Maybe his presence will raise the play of Epenesa. I still think we’re a SB contender, but we need to either add a speed element to the outside WR group or get Palmer involved a lot more in the pass game and hope he takes his game up a notch. I
  10. Even if the Chiefs obliterate them I still don't think that means they can''t get to the SB. They've been KC continuously in the regular season only to lose in the playoffs. They got steamrolled by Baltimore last season and then took them in the playoffs. I know people think this sort of thing has zero bearing but it's a fact that it's hard to beat a good team twice in one season. And the way KC and the Bills always play each other it's very difficult. If they lose to KC next week (which I expect them to) I won't be hitting a panic button
  11. not so much an actual trade but a hypothetical of what happens if you swap coaches with the teams?
  12. Tackling was the major concern about him when drafted. Though it is the smallest of sample sizes, I did find it encouraging that Hairston had the best tackle that anyone in the back 7 has seemingly had in games (stuck the guy, stopped him, AND wrapped up).
  13. Which group? All of them... Considering how obese the majority of them are... Starving for a few months might be the healthiest thing to happen to them... But hey, you love your illegal aliens right? You want illegals to keep wages down while subsidizing Americans to drink soda and eat other cheap processed food... Brilliant socio-economic model... 25% of SNAP benefit money goes to Walmart... I'm sure Walmart is in your investment portfolio too... I hope they keep the government closed until March 2026 at minimum... As a black man, welfare has destroyed my people... Destroyed their families and their self-respect... Time to end it... Will you be shoplifting when your SNAP benefits run out? Good luck lady...
  14. My wife had bomb tickets to the game yesterday. 14th row behind the Bills bench. I’ve only missed one Bill/Panthers game. The first one was not by choice, this one was. My son hadn’t been to a regular season game here( Clt) since 2016 and I knew he’d enjoy it. So they went and I stayed home and topped a tree that was too close to the house. 100% sure we are not winning a SB this year…..99% sure we aren’t making one. My hopes have been displayed for all to see. At this point , hoping for good players for a next regime……a seer can dream.
  15. He hasn't played enough this season to wear down.
  16. No way. In the first place, the defender is clearly trailing Moore, and Allen can lead him either across the end zone or throw it shorter and let Moore go down for the ball inside the five. Either way, the only way the defender can make a play is by going through Moore, and then they get the interference call. If, as you say, Allen can make the throw, it's a gimme touchdown. Should he throw it to Moore? Absolutely! What makes you think he shouldn't throw it to him? Because Moore only has five receptions season? Moore's a quality NFL receiver. He's not a star, but he's a quality receiver. 80 receptions in 8 games his last year of college, drafted 34th overall, averaged 50 catches a year in his first four seasons in the league playing on lousy teams with lousy quarterbacks. Yes, you absolutely throw the ball to him. JuJu Smith-Schuster averages 50 receptions a year. You think Mahomes doesn't throw that ball? I think Brady has Allen all screwed up.
  17. I think the Team is trying to evolve the way most of the teams are evolving, sometimes you can do something about it.. other times we cant. RB position is a great subject concerning this cause just 4-5 years ago.. the best could not find a contract. Now the NFL is running way more these days and the NFL has caught up to spread offenses with high Calibur QB's. we do not have the WR weapons to pass all game long so we running. like most of the league is doing.
  18. The first one you explained yourself. Moore just has to make that catch cleanly. The second one what makes you think Moore was an option? It's clearly a fake screen and seam to Shavers, very similar to the TD Kincaid caught against the Saints. Nice try from Shavers acting like he's gearing up to block but #2 doesn't bite on the fake so the concept is DOA. Moore was never getting that ball. Allen just needed to make a better throw to Davis to pick up some positive yardage on an otherwise broken play. Pressure in his face or not that is a throw he can make in his sleep but he rushed it.
  19. Its a passing league, and ours is broken. Average defenses have stifled our offense. As long as we dont have a WR that defenses respect, teams are going to continue to stack the box, cage rush, spy in middle, overload one side, and we have no answers. Its a copycat league, and teams will continue to so. And 7 yard average depth passes doesnt scare any team at all. This team will go as far as James Cook takes us IMO. But if you cant pass, your not going to win many games. How the hell do you do a 2 minute drive if you cant pass? The solution is so obvious. Beane caved last year and traded a precious draft pick for Amari, and it worked out. Defenses backed up when we added Amari. (to refresh your memory-Bills offense sucked the 3 games prior to Amari). Once we added Amari, the Bills offense rocked! It wasnt that Amari put up great #s. It was that the Bills finally had a WR that respected. It opened up the middle of defense for Cook, Dalton,Hollins. Pre Amari Josh had one of his worst games against HJouston. Same ***** as this year. Its the Emperors New Clothes. How can Beane not fix it?
  20. They won't make it playing like they have thus far in the season, including yesterday. I'm always optimistic that they can improve though. I'm still wondering if and when they can get some of their wounded warriors back and healthy.
  21. One surprising thing that has happened, is I had to change my computer and phone (and TBD) from dark to light mode. It's much easier to read in light mode with the glasses.
  22. oh for the love of god. my entire point of this thread is that schools aren't this trans factory you're being led to believe. this trans "problem" is so small, yet every time any story, and i mean any story, people are up in arms. yes...right now the government reopening is far more important than anything trans. let's not act like you're protecting kids here. want to help kids? improve the florida school system. or how about they actually move things along with the epstein files. that would help children far more than fighting the trans epidemic.
  23. if we can't do any better, I'd take him for a 3rd maybe they have a DT or S to help us too?
  24. Absolutely. Something is wrong with Josh. Would prefer him to get over whatever his issue is before teams start game planning for Cook.
