On Facebook, every time that there's a post about how good Allen is, without fail some fool will chime in about him not winning a Super Bowl. It's really tiresome. Those comments are based on other teams feeling envy about how good he is and they know their team no matter who the QB is would be better with Allen.

Allen on his own is a guaranteed 10 wins. There is not some hypothetical GM/coach combo out there that would take this team to 6-11. If McDermott can't get to the Super Bowl in a playoff field that may not include Mahomes, Burrows, and Jackson, he is never going to do it. Zero reason to keep him or a front office around so that they can continue to not build around their best player.
