Does truth exist??
Joe Ferguson forever replied to Joe Ferguson forever's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The other conclusion is the correct one: That I'm arguing that books that are not sexually explicit, especially those that have a political or religious stance outside of conservative arbitrary red lines, are forbidden. So what about your straw man that attempted to validate by going thru it. Lord, I hope you're not a teacher. -
Robert Kraft to sell a minority stake of the Patriots
Pecker replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m guessing these owners use the equity of these teams as a piggy bank and can borrow against them for cash. I bet 5 years ago lots of them took out loans in the 2% range and now they are looking like 7-8% range and perhaps have to sell parts off rather than take on those rates. Could be an NFL rules thing? Idk. -

You are arguing against the law that restricts adults having sexual discussions with children, what other conclusion could be reached? Since this is not a new law to argue almost anything else is just admitting you are proud of your ignorance of a 3 year old law. -
Tua cannot operate outside of the timing based system he is in now. He's not really mobile. His arm strength is meh. He's not going to create on his own. It was a massive overpay by Miami.

You spout things daily that you have no basis for. It’s embarrassing.

I was thinking about the bolded statements. I mean we all know about the playoff losses for Lamar and I wondered how has he done in prime time games (as Josh is well known for playing well in prime time---and prime time games being another type of pressure situation with the whole country watching, depending on who you are playing of course). Turns out, Lamar has the best percentage of any QB in prime time games (with Josh in second)---impressive. Win percentage in Prime Time Games: Lamar 76.9% Josh 74.1% Peyton 73.4% Goff 71.0% Mahomes 70.3% https://www.profootballnetwork.com/josh-allens-primetime-dominance-takes-center-stage-against-dolphins/ I didn't expect that, but then...they are still regular season games. (Those stats are from before Josh's win against the Dolphins on Thursday night and Lamar losing on Monday night---though that probably wouldn't affect the stats too much---with the volume of PT games each has played). As to playoffs: Record total Yd/game total TDs/game TOs/game Jackson 3-5 299.2 1.63 1.38 Allen 7-6 309.8 2.46 0.46 (TDs and turnovers seem to make the difference) One other interesting career stat (not just playoffs): 4th Quarter Comebacks Game Winning Drives Lamar 10 12 Josh 14 23 I like Lamar too (great player, nice guy, he's fun to watch)---wouldn't be unhappy if he were my team's QB (if we didn't have Josh, of course). And I definitely wouldn't call him a choker (sometimes it's his teammates, I'm looking at you Andrews and Henry), or a guy who can't win the big games. But I do think Josh definitely has an edge in that category (even if Josh too has yet to reach the promised land). Lamar and Josh are kind of head-to-head in so many stats/areas. But, I think two stats kind of show that Josh has just been consistently better in crunch time, when the game is on the line---4thQC/GWD (37 to 22 in favor of Josh), and then playoffs TD/TO ratio. So, agreed, I'm putting my chips on Allen too when the game is on the line.

Game week thread - Saints at Bills
Goin Breakdown replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is. It's been little over 3 years now. Doc said if it doesn't get better in the first year, it never will so here I am. Feet and calf issues. Most the time others wouldn't notice, but I feel it to some capacity 100% of the day. -
Meanwhile the Bills' challenge expert sent a runner to tell McDermott to challenge Tyreek's out of bounds catch on the first drive last game. Too many stairs though. Word is Pegula is installing a state of the art "Tin cans on a string " system in the new stadium so we won't have this problem next season

Tua gets the bag - $53M a year
Jerome007 replied to hellofellowbillsfans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tua is a quality QB, an NFL starter for sure, yet not elite, not even close to the Top 5. Yet he was paid as such, and I actually liked it very much when it was announced. IMO it made the Fins weaker, and well, that's good ha ha. We see it now. BTW that was my worry with Josh. That he would be good but not great. You know, the kind of QB you don't get rid of but that doesn't give you a real chance at the Big One. He buried that worry quite fast ha ha. Newton made a lot of designed runs inside the tackles, like a RB. I couldn't believe it. Not that you get injured, but all those hits have to affect the accuracy of a QB! Even small dings in your throwing shoulder and arm will affect it. Anyway, old news now. Just don't do that with Josh! -

It’s simply amazing sport verging on theatre. Gladiatorial.

Its a bit scary that kids who never even played college ball are showing some signs of this. Is it reasonable to think a high % of people who played 10+ years from youth on have some evidence of this? I really don't know. I don't know if we could ever know that. But I don't think it's outside the realm of possibilities.

Big difference bw a team seeing signs / formations used on the field that they recognize from previous game film........ and what the Pats*/Belicheat did, which was intercept radio feeds, bug visitor locker room, record opponents sidelines and/or practices. It's like Rob Johnson, when he was injured, yelling out what the plays were in that Bills-Jags game where Flutie 'saved the franchise.'

So, this is where they start to lose me--and I've felt the worst offenders from 1/6 should not have been pardoned (while those overcharged were deserving of a second chance). Why would Christopher Wray not be truthful in front of Congress about the number of FBI-associated persons in/about the Capitol on 1/6? Why offer up a number like 26 when the actual number is 10x that figure? What's the point? Did he not know the actual number--is incompetence the answer? Did he deceive the committee intentionally, and if so, for what reason? Now, the FBI is directly contradicting what you are saying here, Roundy, and releasing details that at a minium contradict what Wray said. It's like the same thing happens each time we go through this. Why weren't the American people told the truth about the Christopher Steele-Hillary Clinton arrangements when Obama/Biden/Brennan were briefed before Trump was inaugurated? Why wasn't Faucci transparent in the country's involvement with China, Wuhan lab and Covid research when the virus first spread to the US? And back to Trump and 1/6. It absolutey defies logic that Trump, and only Trump, would be responsible for security on 1/6. Liberal leaders alleged he was partnering with Putin for 4 years, raged that he might try and overthrow the government, and you're telling me the incoming admin (and top dem leadership) sat back and accepted that everything was going to fine? We already know that Pelosi's fingerprints are on the National Guard issue, but none of these things make sense.
