Do the Bills Even Have a Hated Division Rival?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel less confident against the Bengals than I do the Chiefs. At least Bills looked competitive against KC. Against Cinci they were completely dominated on all sides. Even before the Hamlin injury they were getting creamed. -
I love how I pointed out how they’ll use something that happens everywhere (being working class) as a way to insult people from rural areas. Then his immediate response is to use something else that happens everywhere (drug addiction) as another way to insult people from rural areas. Literally could not have proved my point any more perfectly lol.

They said strength on strength. But it’s not like we haven’t seen that play blow up in our face in high leverage situations. Titans game a few years ago and the Vikings OT loss. Josh is just better when he has to think for a split second vs thinking go, go, go right from the snap. We should have got the hint with the stop earlier and barely converting. I recall so many situations where teams like us will take the next step by going for the throat in that spot. We won’t win many of these games trying to survive like we did vs Baltimore. That’s how we play these close games in the playoffs towards the end.

Polian is still sure Lamar would be a heck of a WR -
I’ve never finished reading their menu, but I suspect that is 99.9% of the population.

Yeah I wondered the same thing. I’d like to know their reasons for voting them tier 2 but I’m sure it would just be some nonsense anyway. lol -

Got a stitched TO ugly early 2000's jersey in the collection, still. Couldn't stand the dude prior, but once I found out he was coming to Buffalo I loved it. For a moment the spotlight was on us, the irrelevant era had firmly set in, so it felt good. He did have a pretty decent season for us. Had a good listen with him on WGR like 5 or 6 years ago, with Jeremy and Howard. TO recalled his year hear fondly. -

I actually think Mahomes is pretty funny in those. 😂. I kinda agree. They aren’t all that funny. Still love seeing Josh in these national commercials.

With 50 voters Mahomes and Burrow were the only unanimous Tier 1 QBs. I was wondering how Allen and Lamar got 3 votes and 4 votes respectively that placed them outside of Tier 1. Then I saw that 6 of the voters were former GMs and it clicked. -

I think in general there’s so much pressure on GMs to take the hyped up QB. If they don’t and the player they picked bombs while the other excels, it’s a guaranteed dismissal and a struggle to hold another GM role provided what happened before. I actually can’t remember the last “slam dunk” QB prospect who was passed up for another. I do remember another position back in the day went unexpectedly. I would’ve bet a nice chunk of change the Colts were taking Ricky Williams if he fell to them and they surprised everyone by taking Edgerrin James. Still remember my mouth hanging open, thinking it was the dumbest mistake. -

The fact that he wasn't a first ballot hall of famer is one of the biggest travesties in NFL history. Top ten in every important recieving stat all time, but isnt a first ballot hall of famer, give me a break. -

Many people forget that this was also the year we signed long snapper Garrison Sanborn. -
When this first surfaced I had to research the Mexican military. Because they say no to the USA fighting the cartels (at least publically). I thought, surely, they have some fighter capability to scramble. Shockingly, Mexico has no Air Force capability at all. Trump can launch airstrikes as much as he wants against the cartels, there is no threat of retaliation.

The thing I noticed is that I have to scroll down to Tier 3 to find any AFCE QBs other than Josh who's a Tier 1 operator. -
It is still jarring to see the Bills and their players in national campaign ads.

The tier rankings are based on interviews with dozens of NFL GMs, head coaches, coordinators, position coaches, and scouts. There is simply too much here, so I apologize for no clips/quotes, but for those who can access it, enjoy. It’s my favorite Athletic feature of the year. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6514160/2025/08/11/nfl-qb-rankings-tiers-2025-jackson-daniels/

I'll never forget finding out about him. I fell asleep in one of the farm trucks (a 93 S10) with the radio on Sirius. I was watching to make sure some wildfires I set to scrap wood and brush didn't go crazy. I woke up as I heard them talking about it being in complete disbelief
