Ed missing is a crusher. Need our 3 "paid" guys from this offseason, Groot/Bernard/Benford to make more impact plays. Those 3+Ed are our "core", plus Milano who is basically so injury riddled that he cant be counted on for long stretches. Our middle pass rush is so weak without Ed. Playing our best come playoffs is always key. Its difficult to assess what we even have with this defense, until we get into late November/early December IMO. Suspended guys will have reps by then+ Max (hopefully)+ stay more healthy / get Sanders and Milano back.

thanks- same here. Hey man, if McD is fired if we don’t win this season, I get it. I won’t be upset. I was good with firing him this season, but I also get why he hasn’t been fired yet. He’s gotten us to within a couple made plays, an injury and a bad ref call away from making possibly 3 super bowls. He’s established a culture. I think he’s a good head coach and has earned the right to coach this team this season. the way you’re talking, we have zero chance to win the Super Bowl. You have the right to feel like that. I think it’s sad that you’re living this great time in Bills football thinking we have zero chance to win the Super Bowl. It can happen. We aren’t firing him mid season. When/if we do, I would hope that we bring in a different philosophy. I’m over watching this D. It seems like every opposing QB knows where to go with ball against us on every 3rd down. It’s just too easy. I’m holding out some hope that the players we’ve invested highly in, Hoecht, Maxwell and Ogunjobi can contribute and possibly turn things around and help get some 3rd down drops. More than just that, we need Benford, Taron and Bernard to start playing well. All have been underwhelming this year (although Bernard has had some moments). Maybe Hancock can replace Rapp at some point. I think I might prefer washed Poyer over Rapp at this point. I’m. really hoping that we make a trade for someone that can make some clutch plays on O or D.

We need speed on defense (secondary) and a WR able to win 1-1, more than Palmer/Keon. Max brings speed, when hes ready. He will make rookie errors, but will undoubtedly be more sticky in coverage than Tre right now. Give me a safety so we can get Rapp to where he belongs, as #3 safety. I begged for a legit safety in FA, and a solid #2 CB- need to give Max a chance now. But he can still find a starter at S via trade. I think DJ Moore will be available for trade. Maybe Shaheed. Going to be slim pickings IMO, but possible. Beane made his bed at WR this season, is how I look at it. Paid Palmer, Samuel deal is so costly this yr. But get Rapp off the field ASAP pls.

I hope as well but my expectations are minimum. Hoecht is an undrafted player that has played 4 seasons in the NFL. He has 13.5 sacks or roughly 3.5 per season. That doesn’t move the bar for our DL IMO. In reality, our D is what it is and I think it’s gonna be a major liability all season. Our secondary is hanging by a thread. Our LB core is Bernard, Williams and Shaq. Not expecting Milano to even get back to 💯 this year. And the DL just disappears far too often when it matters. Our reserves are former players that probably weren’t getting signed anywhere else! IE: Jordan Phillips, Jordan Poyer and Dane Jackson i don’t see how anyone can look at this and say the Bills are really serious about winning a SB! We’ve gone into yet another season where it’s all on Josh! As others have stated, you take Josh out of the equation and we’d be looking at a six win season based upon the roster.

I had the same take so I needed to look it up. ASS (Average Separation Score) is a number that is the average of all the grades for each route run. A positive score indicates better than average grade on average. 4" of separate would garner a negative score.
