He’s got a nose for the quarterback…. (sorry 🤣) -
See it’s funny , fans want the one seed as they should and all of these are obviously hypothetical with half a season to play. The Bills get the one seed and the Chiefs and Ravens don’t win their division. Then that means one of them would come to Buffalo in the divisional round. Like I said hypothetical as I still think the Ravens win their division but if we’re the one seed we don’t want to see the Chiefs as the 6 or 7. We want the easiest matchups possible

Unless whatever is out there isn't going to replace Hoecht.

Anabolic roids are believed to interfere with collagen distribution. Which of course is what tendons are made of. It's the stereotypical thing for a roid user to pop achilles tendons. By the time he gets back on the field, after being subject to more frequent testing for the better part of 18 months, he probably returns a husk of the player we saw the last two weeks. As a Yankee fan we saw it with A-Rod after his last roid bust. The residual gain from juicing can be there for about a year but then it goes fast.

True - but look at what happened right after Hoecht went out. Our D was back giving us heart attacks. They said it on the broadcast - Hoecht was the doubled man, his loss was significant. This is a massive loss. beane will make a move because now we know what it could be.....

Fetterman: "Democrats Really Need To Own The Shutdown. I Mean, We’re Shutting It Down by Tim Hains Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman told CNN's "State of the Union" this morning that Democrats should immediately vote to reopen the government and avoid cuts to food stamps, Obamacare subsidies, and airport security. "Democrats really need to own the shutdown. I mean, we’re shutting it down," Fetterman said. "I know why they claim they’re doing it—because they want to address the tax credits—and I fully support that. I voted for all of our cars—our causes—every single time. But I refuse to put 42 million Americans into that kind of food insecurity." https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2025/11/02/fetterman_democrats_really_need_to_own_the_shutdown_i_mean_were_shutting_it_down.html

I don’t disagree. Although NFL player has to be ready at any moment. When he does get in the game, the word I was searching for earlier is he is timid. Just doesn’t hit the hole hard and doesn’t seem to have the punch like he did last year.

I agree with some of what you referenced but it’s a little unsettling how many productive players NE brought in with their draft and in FAs. Their WR room has been excellent( clearly more productive than ours)and their TEs(Hooper and Henry) are as good as any. The question you need to concern yourself with is not the talent level comparison this year but are you confident we will be able to supplement the elite skill position players going forward. I’m not, Beane has been a disappointment with personnel for the last 3years. Now, at a time when additional talent needs to be added( vertical receiver, secondary(safety and cornerback) and Defensive tackle) it’s coming down to 24 hours before the deadline and our tongues are hanging out waiting for something to happen.

One last play before I get back to work. The incomplete pass to Hawes, went right through his hands but right behind him Moore ran a nice deep dig route and is wide open for what might be a huge play! I hope they come back to this with the same look in the future and he fires it to moore. -

A Few Thoughts about the Chiefs Game - Community Edition
corta765 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Like your thoughts and here our mine with some responses to you: 1. The defense- I have said I think when fully healthy the defense especially the defensive line can and should be a force that can alter games. Unfortunately we won't ever see the max potential as with Oliver out and a lot of other guys in and out I just do not see it coming together in the best form. BUT yesterday was proof that with most of their pieces in and the secondary having some confidence/Max finally there they can be decent & the hopes the d-line is a force can be real. I do not need perfection from the defense, next year could be reallllyyy interesting on that side with health and growth from the young guys. BUT if the defense can stay in this form then it makes me far more optimistic come January that the team can win anywhere at anytime. 2. The Kids- Hariston, Walker, & Bishop all have had their moments and their growth is saving the team given the constant injuries we keep getting. Bishop is still just year 2 and his consistency is growing as his talent is certainly present. Having Poyer next to him has helped immensely where you can see his calmness and his best play come out. Walker is probably the biggest gem of them, but Max's speed altered that game and can help the secondary remold into being something decent. 3. Defensive Line- Such a bummer about Hoecht and Oliver as you saw how good this group can be. Even with them out Larry has been nice to have rotating in, Walker has been amazing as a rookie, & Bosa is doing what you hoped Von could've kept doing. They are going to need to bring in some vet to help keep things going and the rotation solid. But maybe just maybe you get Oliver back for this crew come playoff time and if that happens along with the line playing at a high level that will be game altering. 4. Listen they have to prove it come January that they can cross the river finally, I know it, they know it, you know it.... WITH that said it was a really good win by the team as a whole and the coaches deserve credit. Buffalo needed this win to maintain pace with the Pats until we face them again. Beating KC now puts them in a dicey spot divisionally where they have a 1-1 division record 2-3 conference record and they are now two games back of Denver & one game back of LA. I absolutely believe KC can still win the division as they are not to be doubted, but they now have enough scrapes & cuts record wise that the 1 seed is most likely done given the tiebreaking circumstances & winning the division will be a true challenge which should force them at least on the road for 1-2 games if not the whole postseason. Again until the playoffs come and the score show KC lost at 0:00 they are a cockroach that exist the way NE did. But the more attrition and obstacles, the better chance Buffalo has for a better path come January. Conversely the Bills now are 4-1 in conference and 2-1 in division which helps with tiebreakers. Take care of your business as we go, beat NE when the time comes, and see where the chips fall come January. This has been a messy messy year without one truly great team so the 1 seed is absolutely there, but you gotta hold serve and this game helped big time with that. 5. Josh - He's back. He was never really gone either, but the poised decisive assassin we love was in the house yesterday. He was Buffalo's best player and it was a needed reminder that come the biggest and brightest stage you have the guy that can close. 6. Offense- That was the offense in its best form and Brady finally felt ahead of KC for the majority of the game play call wise. I still hated not running for it on fourth and 2 when we had been having success all day, but overall a very strong day. My biggest gripe is keep going to your TEs and don't stop. Run 13 personnel and 12 personnel as much as you can. They TEs are the strongest part of the passing catching group at this point and the best way to break defenses in the air. Once Palmer is back it should help the outside more although everyone still knows how much the offenses ceiling rises with just one more guy. But even if they add Waddle tomorrow, I am utilizing those TEs all the time and bludgeoning teams with them. 7. Next week is a win and advance week. Get on Miami quick and break their spirit so they do not think they have a shot. They are losing guys as they start rebuilding so that will weaken them, but do not give them an ounce of hope. The following three games after will all be good to sizable tests as the Bills go TB, at HOU TNF, & then at PIT. You need to be 2-1 through that stretch as all of those teams present different issues. TB due to injuries is not the monster they could have been a month ago, but they are still a reallly really good team. HOU has perhaps the best defense in football even if their offense is very hit or miss and PIT is PIT which means they can be good great awful or average, but more likely then not come the 4th quarter they will be around. You got the largest hurdle cleared this week, make sure you are ready for the upcoming ones and hopefully we get a trade or two to give some reinforcements to the guys. -
Xs and Os wise the Bills definitely outcoached the Chiefs.
-
His mental game has been his issue since he was drafted. The quick confident decision-making last night is a big step forward. I wonder how much is chance, vs McDermott, vs Poyer. I think McDermott is making a serious difference on defense. Ohhh to have Oliver and Hoecht...

Can't disagree more with your take on DK. They'd have a losing record without him. Rodgers isn't the player he was anymore so DK has had to adapt to playing a shorter game but he's still going to finish around his usual 1,000 and have about 10 TD's. And the dude is built for playoff football. When the flags stop flying and the DB's get extra grabby DK has actually gotten better. Man would he be the ideal X here.

Joey B 👃 nose when he is happy! And he is happy!! Love it! Go Bills! -
Now, THERE'S a Bills fan. (I feel the same way.) Somewhat elated but mostly exhausted and relieved they won, and they looked like the better team too, not winning on a fluke. And immediately focused on the good player who's gone for the year. I am trying to choose to be positive about the situation. How about this. The Utah boys really showed up. Kincaid and Bishop. The Bills don't win without them both. The Bills seem to have had a really good draft. Hairston, Walker, Hancock, Hawes, and Lundt are all making good showings, and the rest are injured but looked fine before getting hurt. Captain Cook continues to explore new oceans of excellence. (Stay away from Hawaii, Jimbo.) Josh Allen is back. He was not playing like himself in the two losses. Joe Brady has left his laboratory and is no longer screwing up with experiments. McD is calling the defensive plays and it shows. Bosa was worth it.

Completely different play and the safety is not in the same place. The safety in the Chiefs game had little chance at the ball in this situation - which is why Allen threw it. The throw YOU wanted Allen to make, had the safety BAITING Allen to throw it. The throw you wanted Allen to make, was an INT. You had no idea what you were talking about on that play and several people in that thread pointed that out to you. -

Bosa genuinely seems like he’d take a discount to stay here if both sides want to make it work. Hes so much different than I expected and fits in so well here. Beyond the football field, he makes it sound like this organization is great for his overall quality of life. -

They’re mortgaging more of their future to win now. I wish Beane would do that. Just sucks that whoever we get will probably just get hurt, like most of our key signings. He was very good and I’m crushed by his loss, but this statement couldn’t be further from the truth. He was great….but Bosa was a monster. Rousseau was winning, bishop was a demon, cam Lewis played very solid, Hairston had the clamps on, epenesa created pressure. The dl as a whole, dominated. They stayed disciplined and stayed in their rush lanes and overwhelmed Mahomes. He had nowhere to go most of the night as good as he was, he wasn’t the only reason those guys were winning. He helped 💯

Yeah , Hoecht was the biggest reason for the great pass rush the last two weeks. He was helping to free everyone else up besides Whst he was doing himself. I don’t see how you are going to get another guy like him at the trade deadline, especially with no cap space.
