I always wondered about waivers when it comes to veterans close to retirement. I assumed teams talk to the player first before putting in a claim, both out of respect for a player at the end of their career, and because there is no point in putting in a claim for a player that can just decide to retire if they don't want to come. I guess that's not how it works, the Bills clearly put in a claim without any buy in from Slay.

I think the Rams are the team to beat despite them losing to a poor Carolina team this past weekend. There is no dominant team in the NFL right now. I think the AFC is wide open.

IIRC, last year Kincaid had a concussion and a shoulder injury, among other. I consider those contact injuries. -
Superbowl and playoff’s thoughts

I think the eagles are the best team in the NFL Rams are very close at 2nd I still think Buffalo and KC are the most dangerous teams in the playoffs if they get in. Houston has a good team and great defense, QB is pretty good idk if he can be great. Dallas is interesting Denver is better than the pats imo -
Why is everyone about Lane Kiffin?
extrahammer replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in College Football
As someone who grew up in MS I will say this, Ole Miss has recruited well and gotten top national classes long before Lane Kiffin arrived and I think that will continue without Lane. I'm more of an Mississippi State fan (I got to watch Eric Moulds there as a kid), but that LSU job isn't the same as it was a decade ago. And even tho I don't care for Brian Kelly, LSU tried to screw him over on his contract, plus the Louisiana governor is trying to run the program now, never has a school fallen so far after a Natty 5-6 years ago. You have a melodramatic narcissistic diva of a coach who has burned bridges everywhere he's gone and a dysfunctional University in LSU, I totally expect Lane's exit from LSU to be the most dramatic exit of a college football coach in history. This is false. Ole Miss has money and they matched LSU's offer. That's why they consistently had top 10 recruiting classes over the last 15 years. All that said, I think he took it bc LSU has more National Championships and is more iconic in college football. I don't think he handled his exit professionally, but I don't blame him for taking it. Sure he could have won a Natty at Ole Miss this year, it will be funny if they do without him too, but I think he's looking at it from that perspective, even if he is unprofessional about it. -

Must be those contract extensions that Beane is noted for: -
We may very well be able to sign Ingram to the PS later today if no one claims him on waivers. Which is perfect, because we can make Slay inactive until we need him, and elevate Ingram to play special teams. That gives us the best of both worlds. Also, I'm tickled by the arrogance of Eagles fans who thought Slay was going to force us to put him back on waivers so the Eagles could sign him.

How about Taron? My sense is that Taron and Bernard aren't carrying their weight out there, and most everyone else is. (Not sure about Milano.) -
I feel a second attempt against the Texans won't play out the same way. I think the Bills will learn from their mistake and will have a better mitigation plan against their DLINE. Would much rather take a second crack at the Texans than allow the Chiefs to have a second crack at us.

its the Bills and the Rams btw but Niners +2500 is insane value

What's YOUR Honest Playoff Bracket?
chris heff replied to Richard Noggin's topic in The Stadium Wall
Question was about the bracket, not this weeks game. But since you asked, if somehow the Bills lose this weekend (and I don’t think they will), and this ends up being the playoff bracket, it gives the Bills the opportunity for home games. In AFC North, I don’t think Steelers make it, Browns certainly won’t, that leaves the Ravens. I’d rather the Bills play Bengals than Ravens. -

Rotational. One week, it's a guy from the offense, next week, a guy from the defense. Mike Brown gets value for his payroll dollar! * Your post looks remarkably like something HOUSE would write. 😁
