The Ray Davis-backup running back discussion
BuffaloBillyG replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here's a potential issue The Chargers just lost Hampton yesterday after losing Harris earlier in the year. They have very VERY little at RB. And anyone remember who Harbaugh had at RB in San Francisco? If you said Frank Gore Sr, you would be correct. I believe at some point this week they will be in the market to nab a RB off someone's PS. If not now, should they lose another guy at the position definitely will at that time. I'm fairly certain Gore Jr's name would pop off the page to a guy that coached his dad. I am hoping the Bills take a shot and see what they have in Gore before he gets poached. They have already had him around for a year. Time to see what he's got before someone else does. -
Some times games like these are good motivation for the rest of the year hopefully this one will serve as such !!

The final play to Shakir. Samuel was wide open for easy TD
CincyBillsFan replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am being objective here. My dad was fine with me getting an occasional B in Calculus or Organic Chemistry. IMO QB is the toughest position to play in team sports and expecting Allen to get an A in every game is unrealistic. In fact it's evidence of a lack of objectivity and grossly distorted expectations. But that's just my opinion. When I watch a game where Kincaid gets an A, Allen earns a B and a lot of the other players get a C or D I don't have a lot of patience with those that call out Allen after the game. Even if they're factually correct in saying that if only Allen had done this instead of that on a couple of plays the Bills would have won I can't help but think of that old Biblical verse: "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" -
Some changes you would like to see this week

Seriously?!? 🤣🤣 He is probably the 2nd most popular jersey in the stadium every week. It’s not disregard of hope. He’s just not very good. He’s a guy. We wanted him to be a number 1 and he’s Gabe Davis with a different skillset.

Ridiculous stat that sums up the secondary play
colin replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
we simply don't contest catches, mcd seems to like his dbs to be clever mcd guys who sell out hard to get tackles in the run game, have seven reads and 3 communication calls pre snap, and stop passes with positioning. the problem with all that is it is very fragile, and just one safety or corner getting hurt means it all falls apart. we've seen this show too many times. -
The final play to Shakir. Samuel was wide open for easy TD
T master replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
It almost looks as if Josh was looking for that BIG PLAY instead of taking what was there, he had multiple players open on many of those plays and he decided to pull it down to try and make a bigger play . I saw the play where Samuel was wide open and that would have sealed the game Josh got to nervous I guess from the pressure through out the game and didn't see him . All the haters are calling their usual especially in the "Who would you rather have now" Post about getting rid of McD but as I have always said and the pictures you put up an the video proves McD can't make the players see the WIDE OPEN WR or make Josh see it . You can call the best game from the scheme on paper that you have but if the players don't execute or make the mistake of not seeing the entire field like Josh did on a couple of those plays then it's not on the coach it''s on the players !!! So thank you for putting those pictures up even though it won't change the thoughts of the haters here it's proof that the players need to be held as responsible or more so for the loses as the coach !! -
Shocked. Shocked I say!

While we're on the topic of annoying Refs, I can't stand how all the refs seemed to be jacked up and wearing skin-tight shirts. WTF? While some of you may enjoy the *****-erotic aspect of it, I think they all look like a bunch of douches. Just wear a normal fitting uniform FFS.

The Bills season is kinda like a Saturday. Wake up around 7 or 8. Have breakfast, do a few things for a couple of hours, then take a nap around noon. Wake up, and you're fine the rest of the day.

Yeah like I said I'm not seeing it Releases are still slow, routes still sloppy, and still doesn't understand leverage If everyone didn't say how good a kid he is I'd call what he's doing out there half hearted He put some bad tape out there yesterday but the first 4 games weren't great either imo

I think the Falcons Offense will have a heyday. This will be a very difficult road test.

Ridiculous stat that sums up the secondary play
Allen2Moulds replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know the exact numbers, but as I watching the game, I said to myself, no one in this secondary ever gets a hand on the ball. Half of our secondary is Tre and Rapp. Both are very average in size, and below average in speed. Teams are regularly exploiting it. Bishop is more athletic, and has improved, but he has short arms, in still a tidbit late to diagnose. -
Why was McDermott calling timeouts at the end of the first half?
Simon replied to Robert Paulson's topic in The Stadium Wall
NE wasn't going to use any timeouts; they had 3 to work with and absolutely wanted that clock running. If the Bills do get a stop and get the ball back with :50 left (which was entirely possible; NE only had 3 points in the half, and those were off the Coleman fumble, and I don't think we'd lost Milano yet) there is a 0% chance that the Bills take a knee. At that point in the game NE had produced zero points that we hadn't given them and I think were o'fer on 3rd down conversions. I think your frustration is getting on top of you a little bit. -

This is one reason I’ve never owned a jersey. We don’t know these people. -
And the sign said "Long-haired freaky people Need not apply" So I tucked my hair up under my hat And I went in to ask him why He said, "You look like a fine upstandin' young man I think you'll do" So I took off my hat and said, "Imagine that Huh, me workin' for you" Whoa

Ridiculous stat that sums up the secondary play
All_Pro_Bills replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't forget how complicated this scheme is to learn and play. First, locate the closest receiver. Next get as far away from them as possible while still remaining on the field. When the QB throws rhe ball don't break on the route until the receiver catches the ball. Lastly, make sure to attempt the worst tackling technique as possible and make sure to take bad angles and miss. Allowing max YAC is best. Remember this is very complicated. -
The final play to Shakir. Samuel was wide open for easy TD
CincyBillsFan replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know but I've seen multiple posters say that Allen "played like crap" or that he "played bad" or that he "played poorly". And for the record there are posts blaming Allen for the loss. Not sure why you're getting so upset here? I wasn't aiming this at your posts but at a collection of posts in this and other threads. And why is it that some of you get upset at those of us who push back at what we see as unfair criticism of Allen? After all this is a Bills message forum and we're all Bills fans who "love Josh" right? -

Sixty sixth year for me. This is helpful; indicating your lack of objectivity with respect to Josh helps me understand your posts more. He had a B game, but as my dad would say if I got a B on my report card: you are capable of A’s so I expect A’s. Of course we had too many guys that had C and D games as well. -
Coleman had a bad game. I really dislike the idea that JA can just throw a lob his way while he is draped with coverage and that is a good play call. I don't like those plays.
