While I have been extremely unimpressed by Jackson on the field so far I will say this. It's a long season. He will likely see live snaps at some point due to injury. I do see him as a game day inactive to start out. But at some point this year he will likely see an opportunity. The hope is he can make progression during his rookie year. I'm hoping to see improvements by the playoffs. Then he has a whole off season in the Bills strength and conditioning program. Learning the ins and outs. Working with other NFL pass rushers. Hopefully by this time next year he's taken steps to be a sturdy enough rotational DE. He was a 3rd round pick. He was always going to need some time to develop.

Splash plays might appear to win big games but if you're out of position over and over again you can also cost a team games and many fans might be unware it's even happening. Ideally a player can be do both.

Walker did take on a double team but was pushed back a few yards. Not ideal. Did you watch the whole video or just the first play breakdown? I watched the whole thing and while Joe called out Walker on that first play breakdown he called out Walker on four other plays where he praised him. So plenty of love from Marino for Walker. He called him "dominating" and said he had "very good technique" and a "good feel for where the ball was." A player can have a good game but not be perfect. Marino can like Walker's play but not love every single play. I'm a fan of Marino and like his analysis a lot. I think you may have jumped to a rushed conclusion here about what Joe thinks about Walker.

Last I knew most military academy grads are pretty smart guys as well, not a bad thing in the overall evaluation. I think if you cut Codrington tho, you have to keep Hamler on the active roster.

I could see him as the 53rd guy. I would cut Codrington, keep Cairlo. I like his instincts in coverage. Moves like a safety. Much more in the style of Benard and Milano than any other linebacker on the roster. I think he is instantly a core special teamer, and after a few weeks in the system the best reserve coverage linebaker.
