2023 draft there was a big run on WR right before Buffalo. I think everyone knew Buffalo was going WR. Jaxon Smith-Nj went 20, Quentin Johnson went 21, Zay Flowers 22, Addison 23. There was a big drop off at WR, and Dalton was the closest thing to a top WR. Cowboys loved Dalton, and we’re gonna draft him. Beane traded up from 27, to 25. Beane sent pick 27 and 130 for Dalton

Absolutely they did. Anyone telling you any different is lying to you. One of the Chiefs or Ravens could very likely miss the playoffs this season. Both are down and can't afford losses. Just like we actually couldn't afford the loss. It may not technically be a "must win" game but it's as close as any.

The fact is you can find reason for argument no matter what bias you would like to take. Our defense wasn't good enough. Our offense wasnt good enough. The Eagles defense was stacked and came in with a plan that worked. Our D shut them out in the 3rd quarter. We came away with 6 points. In the 4th quarter we turned the ball over twice on downs. 9 plays 24 yards over 4 minutes of time. Gave them the ball back. That wasn't the game ending drive even. It was the 4th quarter starting drive. It killed almost 1/3 of the clock to get 24 yards and give them the ball back at almost midfield. Then we traded touchdowns. Then they got a field goal. Then we had the ball with all the time in the world to win the game on one last drive and we got 17 yards with 1 first down. Was our D great? 100% no but it did well enough that our O had the ball with a chance to win the game and the fact is that it couldnt move the ball. I 100% put that game on the offense, just like I 100% put the 13 second game on the defense. Both sides have had a chance to close the game and neither could close.

The all-whites are nice; I slightly prefer them vs white-over-blue. The all-blues are okay but never my preference. I think they look a little better for day games than night games. The all-red Union Suit look is ONLY acceptable during a heavy snow game. Otherwise they just look like they're playing in their jammies. Might as well put a buttflap on the red pants at this point.

By my count, thats 8 players on the defensive side of the ball on the injury report this week to go along with the other 9 defensive players placed on IR since the start of training camp...not including people that are banged up but not showing up on the list...thats about as bad as I can remember.

could not disagree more w this i believe we were closest to winning the SB in 2021. if you want to maintain we're closer now than we were then i can understand why youd feel this way and nobody's missing the point of how we got here. in fact some folks predicted the offense would look this way 2 offseasons ago when it became apparent this was the direction they were headed. i just happen to think it's the wrong way to maximize our SB chances, this yr and the following ones

I feel like beane has chased the draft picks he traded away and it impacted the draft a lot...also, it adds a ton of uncertainty to the draft prep process...they know they are likely going to trade down to get a third back, but I have to imagine that makes all the prep prior to the draft, all the mock drafts and scenarios completely hypothetical. Yeah there's a ton of uncertainty in the draft as it is, but essentially going in not knowing where you're picking at all because your plan is to get more picks early...I think there is a plus side to this in terms of certainty if you do nothing and trade wise, and they don't have to do anything trade wise to chase picks

If he doesn't like his draft options, Fernando Mendoza doesn't necessarily have to declare for the NFL this year. He has eligibility left to play college ball in 2026. Maybe if the Hoosiers get close but don't win the Championship, he will want to run it back. I'm sure he's getting paid regardless.
