  1. Past hour
  2. It was a legal block at the time and the call was wrong, as was Booger. I’m almost positive the league apologized for that. Very little comfort in that, you know?
  3. Seems like his run defense is decent, but he always seems to be trailing receivers on crossing patterns.
  4. Is Tre really playing that badly? My guess is that he's been playing at a league average level for a starting CB. He's hardly a disaster out there and is objectively better for every starting CB for the Dallas Cowboys.
  5. Actually I'm just as worried about the @Houston game the week before.
  6. Are you trying to insinuate Landon Jackson
  7. Seems like a good fit on pass plays, would probably be big trouble vs the run centric teams. Seems like it could work when we’re working with leads. Would like to see Solomon and AJ to do a little bit of that too.
  8. This is dumb, esp when there are thousands and thousands of dogs waiting to be adopted in animal shelters.
  9. I think that describes Landon Jackson, even looks the part. 6-6 264. Texarkana, TX, don't get much more redneck that that.
  10. Depth has been an issue imo…becomes more glaring as the season goes on cuz you’re gonna lose some guys for the season Stuff like benford going down and getting replaced by Elam just can’t happen. Can’t have depth everywhere but cb is not the one I woulda messed with 😂 Depth this year feels better but hopefully Ed at least can come back for the playoffs when you’re in a cap pickle really gotta hit on a lot of picks to have decent depth. It’s feelin like we had a solid draft and players from previous classes have turned the corner a bit too
  11. "He freed lotta people but it seems the good they die young I just looked around and he's gone ..."
  12. Yeah @Gregg's take is bizarre. Williams is an absolute stud by any measure--and trading Hyde and signing Williams saved the Cowboys 70 million over 3 years. "Older"? He's 27, Parsons is 26---couple of real oldsters out there lol! This was a great move by Jerry Jones.
  13. the ol’ chicken or the egg question.
  14. I'm not so sure they do. They have one of the worst defenses in the NFL giving up almost 400 yards a game. Sure, they can make Daniel Jones look like trash by taking his first read away. Not going to work so well against Allen. Plus they are susceptible to be run on.
  15. I think the key is having someone with some meat. Not Williams or Solomon even. Someone that's 6'6 270, played in the SEC at all DL spots and OLB? We need a big, bald, batcrap crazy redneck. Do we have that?
  16. The grounding WAS a bad call and was the wrong call. But you can't throw a flag, announce it to the stadium, and march them back - then correct yourself. It's done at that point and there isn't anything to challenge. Mark it down and complain about it after the season. The early holds on bishop and knox were straight up bad calls too when they looked at the replays. Per the rules of the time i guess that was a blindside block, now you see people box out with their backs to avoid that.
  17. yeah this.... also Beane was in get Josh a ready #1, mode, and may have traded for a different #1 then if Diggs deal fell through. Not sure who was available but many are for the right price. He may have had to pay more then.
  18. shakir is Beasley with a little more physicality

  20. Is this "The Players and Coaches Defining The 2025 NFL Season" episode? Going to wrap up work checking this one out. Man if this is true, it is absolutely BAFFLINGGGGGG decision to wait this long into the season to take over the defense! Infuriating, and at the same time would be a crazy welcome relief. We've invested over and over and over on that side, just continuously pouring in... and next to no progress to show for it. If last week is our new floor (not insane - ton of young inexperienced out there), hell, even if thats our new ceiling, I'd sign up for that right now. Very interesting, and I guess I'm ready to be hurt again Time to pound some chicken wings and hit up Hoechts connect 🤣 But seriously I could see him bringing some juice to the team in that role. Hes really physical, and maybe not the most cerebral guy we have on the defense. Its probably a fun role for someone like that too. I'd do heinous things to recreate that Hoecht energy we saw the last 2 weeks. If we can get even 60% of that out of a high draft pick, that would be fantastic!! I probably need a reality check though.
  21. Well the Bengals tend to operate on a tight budget of cash beyond just - cap space. They struggle to pay out these huge signing bonuses because that hits the bottom line at the end of the year. The reason they're bad isn't even cap constraints though - they just are really bad at drafting. 2021-2025 - Outside of Ja'Marr Chase its really challenging to find an impact player on either side of the ball.
  22. They put Solomon into Hoecht's role after the injury. On one play when I specifically watched him, he lined up inside & brought great delayed pressure resulting in an incompletion. I agree we definitely need to keep using that role, whether it's Solomon or Dorian.
