The optimistic me thinks that Cooks is still learning the offense and getting tuned to Allen's passes. Quote

He’s worth more than we’d get but if we do draft a bunch of guys that outplay him than yes you can unload him He is gone after the season. Unless Sean McDermott is fired, Keon Coleman is not a Bill in 2026. 3 Quote

But yet, this thread will get 743 responses. 702 of them with the obligatory “Beane and McDermott and Babich and Brady should be fired” posts. 😀 every thread will have that. this board's post count would plummet without them Quote

I would like to see more sets with Ty and Cook in backfield at same time or any combination of two RBs . I think we can create some interesting matchup issues and have shown we can run and pass out of this set. But gotta make more vertical passes to them. 1 Quote

Then just run “schnowplow” wedge formations from here on out? ❄️🤔Maybe invent whole new offensive formations using pre-forward pass schemes as inspiration? Talk amongst yourselves!! Could run wishbone use Gilliam or Hawes as FB mixture of RB combos and Two TE. 1 Quote
Ray Stonada Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I would dress Shakir Shavers Davis Cooks Palmer or Coleman based on how they are practicing Palmer and Cooks don’t seem to have the intensity for the playoffs to me. They ain’t gamers, in the old sense. But maybe one of them starts to get their shizz together. Quote
oldmanfan Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I wouldn’t do Hardman because his value is as a kick returner and Ray is tearing it up on kickoff returns (why isn’t he doing punts)? If Cooks is hurt then you have your answer. But if Cooks is Ok he has to be one of the 5. So assuming he’s OK: Cooks Shakir Palmer Gabe Shavers This gives you three guys that can get open in Cooks, Shakir, and Palmer, plus two guys that are great at blocking in the run game in Davis and Shavers. Coleman is odd man out because he doesn’t play special teams like Shavers. Coleman should be moved into a slot role next year to try and get something out of him. We all saw what happened yesterday. When the run game is going Josh can then be much more effective throwing the ball to all his targets (including backs and TEs) and we can put up a ton of points. Quote

Well, this is exactly the thing. It’s the point we’ve reached with this collection of no separate… no catch WR stiffs, isn’t it? And it’s ALL about the Unicorn, all the time- running, throwing darts from every weird angle and rallying the troops again and again and again after that useless D puts them in a hole early. I would load up on the TEs! We know they CAN catch and block and huge targets. Shakir is clearly the most talented WR, a WR3. Add in whoever else and keep the least talented serving hot dogs in the concession booths- especially that total clown and absolute bust- Coleman 1 Quote
GunnerBill Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Have we heard anything yet on Cooks? What was up with him and what was he having an X ray on? Because even though he isn't actually bringing in any deep balls as yet, he is at least getting sufficiently open that Josh is willing to chuck it in his direction...... and that helps. 1 Quote

Sweats Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I'll be in the minority on this, but I'm kind of digging the system we have in place right now..........keep feeding the TE's and play the WR's by committee. Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I think our “base” offense needs to have 2 RBs. Davis and Ty can block and run routes. 1 Quote

I remember at times in the K-gun days we would flank Thurman and use Kenny Davis as the RB, just to get Thurman in space. 1 Quote
billsfan89 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Assuming everyone is healthy. Shakir- Consistent slot WR duh Palmer- Probably your best bet to get someone that can somewhat beat man coverage on the outside. Samuel- Gadget WR4 although I doubt he will be healthy. Gabe Davis- Can still block, and he’s possibly maybe can get you a catch down the field or in a contested situation Shenault- ST ace, can block, maybe get you one catch. Assuming Samuel is continually hurt I put either Cooks or Keon in Quote
Pecker Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Play the ones who make the plays. davis shakir Shavers Those are clearly the 3 Josh trusts most. Then add Cooks because he is a quality Vet. Then I guess you are stuck with Palmer? Although I’d personally bring back Elijah Moore. He could at least fill in the Shakir role if needed. There’s no reason to have a third blocking wr in Coleman(Davis and shavers1/2) But we have to stop messing around and get some consistency going into the playoffs Edited 2 hours ago by Pecker Quote

Probably Hardman over Samuel for speed reasons, but hopefully we don’t need to go there. Yeah, at this point with me Samuel and 0 (I am referring to him as 0 from now on for obvious contributional reasons) shouldnt see the field at this point unless it is due to injury... and we all know Samuel will see the field at that point for about a quarter before he is injured again... so I am going Shakir Davis Cooks Palmer Shavers Quote
nuklz2594 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago who are these names keon and Coleman you speak of? Quote
