Really, really hate not having Benford, but we get to see yet another installment of your “next man up” 2025 Buffalo Bills.

Wow!  What a joke!  When Keon coughs the ball up again, someone better be accountable!

you realize he's only had one fumble since the beggining of last year right?

Really disagree with Coleman playing today over Davis. Maybe Coleman is a marginally better blocker or something and they plan to run the ball all day?

Otherwise Davis is a better WR at this point and Allen trusts him. Davis had a big catch on 4th down at midfield last week in the scramble drill. Coleman never makes himself available like that. Coleman also rounded off a lazy route that almost got picked. Coleman is not good.

Davis likely suffered an injury in a walkthrough yesterday morning, or retrieving his suitcase from baggage claim…

I don't know why the Bills don't address this. It is useless putting Sanders at defensive end. If they need another end, they need to sign someone.

Morgan Fox, Shaq Lawson?

In what universe is Coleman better or more useful than Gabe, who, unlike Coleman a) catches the ball; b) sells routes when he's not the target; c) is a deep-ball specialist; and d) has the trust of Allen? It's perverse. Are they trying to spot the Patriots a pawn, trying to even things up? Did they get a directive from the league to water down the roster? Is McDermott--god forbid--actually relying on Brady's judgment?

Shall we make a prediction, based strictly on history?

  1. Coleman will not get open, ever, at any time, unless the DB falls down. If he catches a ball, it will because Allen hits him in his unreliable hands.
  2. He'll catch two balls on slants, drop a third, and fumble a fourth for a turnover.
  3. He'll be dominated by any linebacker, cornerback, safety, defensive lineman, or player-coach the Pats put on him.
  4. He'll give up when not targeted, giving his man a chance to make the play on who is.

The only possible rationale I can think of (besides the perverse ones) is that they plan to run all day and want Coleman to block. But then why not play a fourth tight end? At least he would be a receiving threat. The man is a liability, one of the worst players on the roster, which is saying something.

Benford out and Coleman in. Someone reassure me. My confidence level went from high to "Time to start drinking."

Such a sad state of affairs when we are this distraught as a fan base over missing Gabe's 2 catches for 26 yards.

Earlier in the year Coleman was being featured in the offense and screwing it up. He’d be the primary target on plays and not getting open. I think he had like 7 targets last Pats game.

Gabe Davis catching 2 out of 3 targets for first downs is objectively much better for the offense.

Not sure about the call ups from PS factoring in? Or is Gabe already on the 53? I should know this.

Coleman over Davis is gross, no matter who they play

All in all, it's really not that bad in terms of injuries.  I hate that Benford can't play, but having Palmer & Bosa is a nice surprise.

Surprised about Gabe, but it wasn't like his production was massive.

Control the ground game today, win TOP and the turnover battle, win game.
