As much as I dont like him, I think Jimmy Johnson belongs in the HOF as a head coach.  His Dallas teams were the best teams of the decade.  And he had some success in Miami.

My mistake.

That Jimmy Johnson is in the Hall of Fame. as is the Jimmy Johnson who played cornerback for the Niners.

The guy I was referring to actually went by the name, Jim Johnson.

He was an NFL assistant for over 20 years including 14 as a Defensive Coordinator... the last 9 with the Eagles where he mentored Sean McDermott.

He's considered one of the great NFL DCs of all time.

Jim Johnson was terrific

McDermott is a Jim Johnson protege

I have jim in the second tier of defensive coordinators with guys like Wade Phillips

So squarely top 10.. probably even closer to the top five

Johnson benefited from perhaps the most lop-sided trade in the history of the NFL.

I work a couple miles from Foxboro, and had a Bills hat on.  Everyone was telling me how the Pats were going to beat the Bills convincingly.  Dozens of Pats fans told me this delusional belief.  I said Bills not only win, that the Bills win by 10 or more points.  Monday will be a fun day at work 😂

I’ve watched a number of Pats* games this week. They are a good team, no doubt. You don’t win 10 straight by accident. That said, this is a weak 11 win team. Drake Maye is good for a fumble and a few bad sacks a game. He sails passes too often. They remind me of the Texans a few years ago. They won their division and a play game against a not great browns team, then they ran into an actual elite team in Baltimore and got wrecked.

I think this game is far more likely to be a convincing Bills win than anything else.

He orchestrated it, didn't he? He is the one who modernized the way we view draft picks and their value. Back then they were throwing them around like candy and he realized they were way more valuable than teams were treating them.

It's speculation that the league was " dealing from the bottom of the deck" when that trade went down...

The cowboys were an elite brand in great debt and the roster was in atrocious shape in 88/89....

I just don't think a trade like that goes down that is that extreme unless the league wanted it to happen....

Dick LeBeau is in as a player

In my eyes there are three defensive coordinators who would be worthy as Hall of famers though the NFL doesn't see it the same

Dick LeBeau, Bill Arnsparger and Buddy Ryan

OT but Dick LeBeau was a Judge in the big Dog Show on Thanksgiving.  Very dapper in his Tux strutting around with the puppies.

I thought it was cool.

Reminds me also when the Steelers started out 11-0 five years back, only to fall apart down the stretch.

I think the bills are a better team. I think the pats have better wide receivers. I think the bills are a little bit more structured right now to win in cold weather. I also think they're more experienced in clutch games.

I like the bills odds to run efficiently on them with Milton out. Plus gimpy LBs  I think Maye will do his thing but may make a mistake in the cold.

I like the bills in this one. Not sure if they're going to push on to win a division, but the pats are a young team and they are pretty beat up.

I think the bills will be extremely fired up to not let them get the division by beating them and by getting the sweep.

The thing I’m concerned about is the first quarter.

Vrabel and McDaniel will have some wrinkles cooked up and they might surprise us at the beginning.

They aren’t going to beat us straight up, just lining up and going toe to toe.

Not Bills related, but this is A+ social media’ing. Love this.

I love that McNair was a good sport about it.

If you can't poke fun at yourself, then you probably have some work to do.

Ah, yeah, I should’ve figured that out.
Having roots in Pennsylvania, I’ve followed the Eagles for years. Jim Johnson (rip) was truly one of the best DC of his generation.

I think this game will be similar to last week. High scoring and both teams playing almost like a playoff game. Our advantage is Allen. He can make the big plays on the ground, where as Maye really doesn't. But our secondary has to be ready for the deep passes. Hollins has been a big deep threat for them this season, as well as others
