I know we want this to be some sort of statement game that we're that much better than them, but they still played us very tough and even beat us with their crappy 4-13 teams.  They have a very young team which we keep talking about, and experienced coaches with a lot of SB rings which we don't mention much.

Its going to come down to turnovers and its going to be close.

Some interesting stats that serve as markers as the game goes on: 63.2 percent of the time the team that score first wins, 2025 wins when leading at halftime: Bills .692  NE .846.  First team to 24 wins 90.8% of the time.

Turnover ratio:  0 Turnovers = 50% win rate.  If you're +1 in that dept your win rate is 67.5% +2 is 81.1% +3 is 95.7%

So we need to score first off a turnover, lead at halftime, then reach 24 first off another turnover.  Easy!  lol

If the Bills beat the Pats by two scores or more and it’s a clean game by the Bills then the pressure gets turned up big time on the Pats. All the narratives around the Pats season become louder and the young QB will need to show he is who all NE fans want him to be, the next Brady.
I want to win this game but honestly the Bills are in a different place than the Pats, it’s Super Bowl or bust for the Bills. Even Pats fans admit this is a year or two sooner than they thought the turnaround would take. They will settle for a playoff birth and maybe win one game.

They're actually older in some key areas... Both teams are about the same in starting depth chart age

I just don't know if it's as big as a game as ppl are making it. Sure the division would be nice but I honestly don't care.

If we win, maybe we still end up the 5 or 6

If we lose, we still end up the 5 or 6

And if we beat the pats in January, nobody will care about the pats winning the division lol

Ultimately you are correct. BUT, from a momentum perspective this game IS big. We win and carry loads of momentum into the last three games of the season and the playoffs. We win and New England loses all their season long built up momentum (bye week off, then a loss to the Bills) and questions start to creep in for them, making it maybe a little more possible that they drop a game to the Jets (yea right) or Dolphins (dolphins COULD play spoiler with their run game and improved D). Momentum is real, both in games and in season.

Has anyone mentioned Maye lack of experience in cold weather games under 32 degrees? By my count he's played 1 as a pro.....a loss in Buffalo last year. He played decent in that game.

He played for the Tar Heels in the ACC, granted not the pros and they only play into mid December in college. He's definitely played some cold weather games in college, but probably not frigid games like you see here or other places like Green Bay.

I wouldn't put much stock on him having a bad game because it's too cold.

We were hearing the same crap about Tua when the Dolphins almost had the division a couple years ago. Who was playing at a high level i will admit, but the media had the same BS hot takes they do now about the Pats.

And we were hearing Mac Jones was the next Brady when the Bills played him in the playoffs.

If it’s a close Buffalo win, I think the Pats would take it - provided they bounce back against the Ravens.   Then they’ll focus on closing out the division against NYJ and MIA.

If we beat them in convincing fashion, I could absolutely see it resonating in their psyche, and then if they lose to Baltimore… hoo boy.

I don’t think this is a “just win” type of game.   This should be a dominate them type of game.  Not saying we will, but if we want to put that doubt in their collective conscience, that’s what it will take.

I'm intimately familiar with the Bills' strengths and weaknesses, but on principle I refuse to watch Patriots games (Bills fans in NE will know why), except when they play us. Can someone give me rundown of where they're strong and weak, especially vis a vis the Bills? The rundowns I can find online are insipid, fatuous, partisan, obnoxious, obsequious, opaque, overly long, sophomoric, pretentious, officious, and/or dated.

Bills are much better at home than in road.
Divisiion is a big deal, I think.

We really need to win out and have NE drop another one.

drop one to the jets or dolphins, specifically. Ravens game does not matter for division.

Looks like Bosa and Brown are playing... unless they get injured in practice.

I'm terrified.

I mean Friday practices are usually a lot of light jog and walking but knowing our luck a guy will be walking and sprain his ankle in a divot at this point.

Im of the idea let’s focus on getting everyone healthy for the playoffs the Bills have won the division which is great but the ultimate prize is the Lombardi and we need everyone to get there home or on the road
