I never saw him with a play sheet I didn't pick up on much sideline stuff today but on the field the came in ready to run a lot of different looks and probably called most of them. I would guess that was mostly McDermott. 1 Quote

Bills win out and it’s a legit shot. I think if there’s a year to not win the division it’s this year. I don’t really look at Denver/NE/Jags or Colts/AFC North as being all that impossible to win away Go G Men tomorrow night! 3 Quote

Saw positive plays from Solomon, Walker, and Sanders. Bishop continues to flash what we were hoping to see from him. Taron is either injured or just spent at slot as I see they are subbing Cam Lewis in more often and I don't think there is that much of a drop off and I think he often seems more willing to click and close to fill and make tackles. I know we have not often gotten our worth out of older big-name signings, but who doesn't think that Joey Bosa has pretty much kept this DL from total collapse this year while they have been trying everything to fill the other gaps. Basically playing with one hand - earned it. On offense folks may want to see a wide open game, but with two backup OTs in the game going up against veteran pass rushers in Watt and Highsmith, they did the smart thing getting the ball out of Allen's hands quickly and leaning into their running game. They also did not have either receiver that can actually get open in Kincaid and Palmer starting the game so no real downfield threats to use. Also, I really liked how decisive Allen was taking off and taking a good angle to the sideline and the marker today. He did not set himself up for sacks or getting hit by holding the ball and looking downfield for options that have been few and far between this year - just not there and the best thing to do is take a good angle to the sideline and pickup what yards he could. Thought that late hit on the slide definitely should have been called, but Allen did a good job eluding the rush on several occasions and breaking tackles and I think that was because he was a lot more decisive about I am just going to take off now. Tough gutsy win - go Bills! They played well but the Steelers have been bad on offence most of the year, let's see what they can do against Bengals who are a very good offence with multiple elite play makers Quote

His decisiveness was huge today. I was shocked that the Stillers didn't seem all that interested in spying him; I thought Dugger or even Queen would be eyeballing him all game long and they really didn't seem to be focused on it. 1 Quote

McD has been grinding, along with his protege, Babich, to fix this defense. All we can ask is that he fixes the defensive side of the ball that is his expertise, and it appears he has done a great job. They gave up nothing the 2nd half vs Houston (60 yards and 3 points from a Shakir fumble) and today stuffed the Steelers on their field. I'll see what they do vs Cincinnati but it's promising. 1 Quote

Everyone laughs at the lack of top tier talent on this D yet year in year out he fields strong units with guys at key positions that are practice squad level. This is why if I had to choose I’d dump the guy handing him lemons to coach up. 1 Quote

MikePJ76 Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago Hats off to the defense today, players and staff. There were limited challenges in the passing game but they had to play the run and be physical or it would not have been a game and they did it. That was the name of the game today. you have to understand the game your in and they did today. I wish they would have run the ball this much last week. this is the third best defensive game of the year. They were dominant against the jets with the pathetic qb they have and then dominant against carolina. Going to be the completely opposite game next week. Quote

Of course the bills could do that also 😂 Edited 38 minutes ago by Generic_Bills_Fan Quote

Rich Stadium Original Posted 38 minutes ago Posted 38 minutes ago (edited) So... For this game: Your starting DT and possibly your best lineman is out on injured reserve Your 2nd biggest free agent acquisition on the defensive line is on injured reserve Your starting middle linebacker is out for the game BOTH your starting offensive tackles were out Your number one receiving tight end was out. Your only real deep threat wide receiver was just placed on injured reserve Your biggest offensive free agent acquisition at wide receiver was also out Your center is pretty much gutting it out on one arm...... Was it an ugly win??...You bet!!...but considering how unhealthy this team I wouldn't call it a BAD win..... Edited 38 minutes ago by Rich Stadium Original 2 1 Quote
