Way too early to say.

To @BillMafia716ix point.......I  think when you sign a player like Palmer to a deal where they have to play better than they had the year before to justify the value of the contract.........the runway on whether the deal was good or not is pretty short.

Here’s hoping for the best for Coleman. I like him and think he can have impact and it’s too soon yet for final judgment. He is definitely a fan favorite in that he is a focal point for some and they take their football (life’s?) frustration out on him. So either way it goes, he serves a purpose

He has been sent just about the strongest message the team can send, short of cutting him.  If he doesn't get it by now, I doubt he'll be with the team next season.

The next time Elijah Moore is a positive for a team's offense it will be the first time in his NFL career.   He has a CAREER 65.7 passer rating when targeted and was probably the worst receiver in the NFL to get regular snaps in 2024.  There is a real chance he would have at least started the season on a practice squad this season if the Bills hadn't thrown him a lifeline.   Allen ever trusting Moore was a stretch.

Additionally, it doesn't take much research to see that in Brady's first season as an NFL OC in Carolina he had two 1,000+ yard receivers plus an 800+ yard Curtis Samuel.   None of which were superstars.   This coming off having the greatest passing offense in the history of college football.  But not running the ball enough was cited in his firing in Carolina.

I think people need to consider the fact that he is running what Josh Allen and McDermott want.   A simple system.   Which would probably work in spite of perceived predictability if the talent was right.   Moore wasn't ever going to move the needle for this team but some of you just can't get over his draft pedigree.

Don’t lump me into the crowd that thought Moore was going to be some impact player here, cuz I’m not.  But Moore provided more downfield potential than Samuel does as at least a threats.

Instead he was treated like he was McKenzie, and Samuel isn’t being used like he was in Carolina either.  In 5 seasons between CAR and WAS when he was starting and healthy, Samuel averaged 796 yards a season.  Including as you said his best one with Brady.  But we just aren’t using him much either despite Brady’s familiarity with him and his time in the offense.

Point was, dividing snaps between Samuel and Moore was stupid, pick one and get them involved more.  I don’t even care which one, I just felt Moore had more of a threat downfield at this point than Samuel.

I hope they use Cooks now more than Samuel for same reason - but we all know it’s not gonna happen.

I don't have any faith but maybe he surprises everyone and has a big impact

If he was ever going to have a good game,  this would be the week for it.  The Steelers are dead last in the NFL in passing yards allowed.

Could Elijah Moore have saved Coleman's career in Buffalo?

I assume there would have been a direct choice between Moore and Coleman to be active this week if he was still on the roster.

In any case I can only wish for a focused and productive Keon.

Cooks Shakir Palmer Coleman Shavers Samuel Davis Hardman - I assume we only keep 6 at maximum on the 53 when everyone is healthy but that day may never come.

Palmer’s ankle injury in week 6 kept him down for three weeks and he hasn’t been as productive since. Prior to it, he didn’t have a lot of catches but his yards per catch was more than double what it has been since the injury. I think he’s a really good receiver but between limited targets and the injury, his production hasn’t been near what it could be.

Lots of luck involved in winning super bowls.  Our luck better turn around quickly.  What a brutal season health wise

@RyanC883just to clarify,  you don’t think there’s any luck involved in winning a Super Bowl?

Man that Joshua Palmer signing was a big flop. One decent game, bunch of duds and now on the injured list again

Moore and Palmer are mediocre, no doubt. Otherwise they wouldn’t have been available. But I’m starting to think that this team could sign Jamar Chase and he would average 2 receptions for 10 yards.

Why even keep Curtis Samuel over Elijah Moore when he brings absolutely nothing to the table and is always injured

We don’t have enough cap space to cut Samuel

Everybody starves. What a train wreck. What ever happened to “chemistry”? left back in HS. My god, I can’t even name who might be a WR starter at week #13!!

(yeah, Brandon, I’m a whiner)

is there luck involved, for sure.  But the amount of luck is vastly overstated by many (not saying you are), otherwise, you wouldn't have multiple time winners, unless you think KC, NE, and others are routinely "lucky."  You have to have a solid foundation and then have a window open for you.  The Bills lack that solid foundation and have for years with McD and Bean.  Poor play calling at inopportune times, meltdowns, and poor roster management.  The window is huge this year for the Bills, and Bean and McD whittled it away.

Shakir

Palmer ????

Coleman

Cooks

Honestly, unstable if they dress 5 and Palmer is healthy, then..

Palmer

Cooks

Shakir

Davis

Shavers

and only if they dress a 6th, the Coleman is the 6th.  He doesn’t have a ST impact.  We have Davis for kick returns, and Shakir for punt returns.  The only way I see Coleman as the absolute last option is if Palmer can’t dress.

Coleman is turning out to be possibly a worse bust than Elam.
