I'm going to predict a big game for Coleman. Five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown. He's back...

a game like this from Coleman would make a statement Indeed. He needs it and his team does too. May it be so!

I have no hopes and will believe it when I see it. I made excuses for the kid for far too long and now need to see sustained dedication from him

Did he ever arrive?

Arrived with a bang. Everyone loved his careful attitude. Remember the jacket incident.

That's fair.

I have no faith in Coleman winning against these physical steeler corners. If he had even like 20 yards, I would be surprised.

That’s the frustrating thing. He’s a big dude but doesn’t play through contact with power. You’d assume someone as strong as he can be on the bball court would understand how to play through contact. It’s like he is stymied by it.

Back in the summer ppl were posting these clips of a shirtless Coleman working on agility drills, running these stutter step style routes…and I’m just watching this in June thinking that this is the wrong kind of training this dude needs.

Well then my friend, be ready to be pleasantly surprised with the incoming 3 catch 27 yards day!

friggin’ injuries… Kincaid out AGAIN… ugh

Not at all surprising. That looked like at least a moderate hamstring injury. You aren't going to push those with a route runner. Generally if you think it's doing pretty good, you still give it another week to be safe. 3 weeks would have been pushing it.

I always looked at it like Oliver's injury earlier in the season. You don't IR them bc of their importance and hope that you get them back for the 4th game - so you don't IR them. But it could very well be like Oliver where he misses the length of an IR anyways.

reminds me of these youth bball players who are big but soft, and get outmuscled by the smaller tougher kids.

I'll put on the flame suit for this but I believe it's true.  For all the complaints about Coleman both Brady and Allen have done him no favors.  For every one pass Allen actually puts somewhere Coleman can catch it he throws 3 or 4 others that are either not catch-able or flat line drives with no chance of going up and getting them.  Certainly no excuse for not playing your hardest.  I still think if Brady actually incorporated Coleman to get the ball in his hands his best attribute is running after the catch.  The most impressive thing he did at the combine was running sideline to sideline catching everything thrown at him and we have him running go routes all game like he's a track star.  Coleman should be running slants and deep ins with some plays schemed up to just get it to him short and let him break tackles.  I'm not sure how good of a WR Coleman could be but I have no doubt it's more than what we've seen here.  Hopefully there's better days ahead.

A big factor in Coleman's lack of success is Brady and the Bills coaching staff. How on this earth did they think this guy could play the X WR position? They are inviting failure for Coleman. Brady can't scheme open anyone as well. They should have never drafted him which is a Beane mistake. Coleman at best is a average big slot WR.

In short, I blame the player as well as the Bills organization from top to bottom. You just can't have misses like this.

Assuming cooks plays (he does right?) I think it'll help Coleman out. Litterally nobody is a threat in the wr group. Cooks being in the field could open things up for Coleman and Davis (assuming Davis plays)

That TD he caught was huge another catch on the grinding out the clock drive too. Not a lot for him to do due to low volume but he had an impact step in the right direction

That TD was all Allen, pump faking a free rusher and then making a sick jump pass. All Coleman had to do was run through the zone into open space. To his credit he caught a pass that hit him in the hands which was not a guarantee.

This is coming from someone who really wanted Coleman to ball out tonight: he was forgettable. I'm happy he got a TD but I agree that was Allen buying an insane amount of time.

I don't know if it's him or Brady misusing him or some combination but I do not see both making it to opening day next year

He made himself available and he caught a pass that was slightly off target it was like 70-80% Josh but it’s good for him to get that kind of big time play. Helps with his confidence and the teams confidence in him
