reddogblitz Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Typical Coleman. Makes a nice catch for a TD. Then the next pass to him hits him in the hands and bounces off. But he did catch the 3rd one. 1 Quote

Kelly to Allen Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Critical catch but frustrating drop. Caught another slant. Hoping his confidence builds before the playoffs. I don't need him to be a star, just make some plays. Hang in there Keon! 1 Quote

All Coleman had to do was run through the zone into open space. To his credit he caught a pass that hit him in the hands which was not a guarantee. No offense, but you don’t really leave any room for anyone else to get any credit when they do something by talking like this. He got open, he caught the ball. The thing you and everyone else says every day he can’t do. I don’t know what Coleman can be, but I know what he has been has not been good enough so far. So I’m not here to make excuses for him. But at the same time, it’s such a waste of energy to spend so much time trying to take away from him anything he does positive like you’re attempting to do here. It’s fine to still doubt him, not have confidence in him, etc. It’s another thing to go out of the way to discredit anything positive he does just to maintain that opinion. He made a big play in a big moment when this team really needed it. Just let the kid have that, why try and take that away, makes no sense. Let’s just hope he builds on it, hope Brady finds better ways to get him involved…because we will be a better football team if that happens. And who knows, maybe it’s more of the same issues moving forward that got him benched, if so, he probably won’t be on the team next year. But at least leave room for the kid to prove he has value to the team. Edited 9 hours ago by Alphadawg7 1 3 Quote

This. The TD catch was a wide open catch than a high school player can make. The drop was the type of play that we drafted him for. 2 minutes ago, SunDSolar said: He had to beat man coverage with safety help And he did just that, on a 4th and goal in a big spot in this game There was no man coverage. Keon literally ran off the line uncontested and unfollowed, to an open spot where he caught the ball. He beat no-one. The best you could say is that the safety was slow to react. 2 Quote

I'm sorry Alpha but this is as basic as it gets for a WR: 7 minutes ago, SunDSolar said: He had to beat man coverage with safety help That isn't what happened. See the video above. He's just running into open space, there is nothing remotely high level about this other than what Allen does to manufacture a TD from an otherwise broken play. If I'm supposed to take this TD as a big positive step forward for Coleman, sorry but I don't. He has a very long way to go. Every time Allen looked downfield he wasn't finding any of his WRs open and Coleman is a big part of that problem. He also had another drop on a routine quick slant catch. Good to see Coleman back in the lineup but let's be honest about the performance. Quote
SCBills Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago Happy Keon got a TD, it’s a start. The slants are what we need him to get reliable with. 1 for 2 there I don’t have a ton of hope for him to be some downfield threat, but we need him to be available to JA for those 5-10 yard quick slants to keep the offense on track & give our QB an easy button throw here and there.
