(But we were still “in the hunt”!). 1 Quote

How do I watch this game with the complete focus that I need, and still maintain marital harmony? (Note also this variable as it pertains to long term strategy: I have to still make the almost unwinnable case to go to the Steelers/Bills game, which conflicts with kids’ piano recital). You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. 3 Quote
Fleezoid Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It takes a big man to forgo the Bills game for family. I am not a big man! Quote

Duct tape them both to a tree and tell them to shut the %$#& up the Bills game is on. 2 Quote
quincy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago All depends on how desperate you are tonight and whether the basketball game is part of the birthday celebration. Is your kid a big Bills fan as well? Do they want to go to the Steelers game too?! Faking an injury or illness to get out of the game tonight lol or channeling their inner Keon and being late for both the basketball and piano practice haha. I think you will have an awesome night tonight and the following weekend no mattter what happens as long as the Bills win both those games - wishing your kid a MVP perfomance tonight and an impeccable performance the following Sunday. 1 Quote

Not to sound coldhearted but f**k the pair of them! you are a karate master and the man of the house. Tell the woman she can spend her birthday watching the kid play basketball, it’ll be a bonding experience. And then she can go home and make her own cake. Women need to learn kitchen skills again. 1 Quote

Oh man, you don't sound so good. Based on your symptoms, you might have that highly contagious 24 hour bug. The top doctors in the country recommend isolation until the morning, some malted grains, maybe some protein of the fowl variety, and absolute silence from those around you. Check back with me in the morning, but if you follow my instructions, I would expect a full recovery. However, depending on other factors beyond your control, you might feel some slight depression in the morning. 1 Quote
corta765 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Sons basketball game you gotta go to and just follow updates. You should still get home for majority of the game. Not sure how the wifes bday factors in when the basektball game comes first and I would imagine it will be 830ish when done so maybe move that to weekend and do quick dinner celebration before basketball? 1 Quote

Do what any normal human would do. DVR the game, do the basketball and wife’s birthday, stay off this board and your phone, and watch it when you get home not knowing what happened. 2 Quote

Now you have a surprise birthday gift for your wife and you can watch the game in peace at home. Even if she asks you to join her, you can, decline services and watch the game on your phone in the waiting room. You are welcome. Next time plan in advance better. It's as easy as buying her things to do during the time you need free. Then you get to watch the game and get to be her birthday nookie. you’ve cracked the code bro 1 Quote
RkFast Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) My son had a baseball tournament during the KC game. I brought two tablets and a portable charger to get me through it. (Un)fortunately, they were eliminated and I got to my friend's house in time for the game. Luckily with modern technology completely missing a game is really hard to do. But remember that one day your kids wont be playing sports or in theater or at recitals. But the Buffalo Bills still will be playing football. Nobody truly and deeply "regrets" missing a regular season meh football game on TV. Its not like you had choice club seats at the stadium for a playoff game youre passing up. Its flippin' Houston....on TV...in November. Meanwhile, literally every parent alive regrets having to miss even the smallest of their kid's events for one reason or another, even to attend an event for another kid of theirs. And kids remember that stuff, too. Prioritize accordingly. [/soapbox] Edited 1 hour ago by RkFast 1 Quote

I am proud to share with my brothers in Bills blue the secret Pro tip-you can use the gift approach with her friends. Let's say you need a night with the boys, whatever. You simply buy her and her friend something to do during that time. You are now a hero, she is happy, her friend thinks you are amazing (which will help when wifey complains to her about you in the future) and you are doing what you wanted to do without grief and pain. They will not be concerned with what you are doing at that time Pampering gifts are always a good surprise. Woman love to be pampered. Also good gifts are concert tickets, comedy club tickets...each lady is different so as long as the event appeals to her, this will work and you are a hero Edited 1 hour ago by TBBills Fan 1 Quote
