It was ugly. Allen was 9/30 passing. Just 131 yards. He did add 54 yards on 4 carries. Our leading receiver was Coleman who had 49 yards on one catch for Josh's only TD. Cook played well having 99 yards on 22 touches and a TD. But even for how inept our offense was, it still took them converting an improbable 59 yard field goal at the gun to get the win.

 

As long as Allen doesn't 💩 the bed against them again, I believe we win this game easily.

So, I deleted this shortly after posting for two reasons:

 

1. Didn’t want to litter the game thread. Wasn’t a great fit for the thread. 
2. Looks like the Jets had signed him since that tweet. 
 

Just seemed to make sense to kick the tires on the guy with our dline and run defense issues. He’s not some scrub. Why the Jags released him, I don’t know, but they aren’t exactly an infallible franchise.

Id seen that exact play previously - a KR didn’t down the ball in the end zone — but instead let the ball loose in end zone while kicking team recovered. every time it was called a TD. 

yeah, the one and only time the NFL claimed intent instead of following the rule on the books.

It was a bad game for Allen, but importantly he didn’t turn it over, which gave the Bills the chance to win at the end of the game. I would argue Stroud had just as bad of a game with his turnovers.

That was on Brady. We should have gone to OT in that game. Coaches blew it by throwing on last series then bad punt. Frustrating loss.

I hope & pray you're right, but I don't see this as an easy victory.  

Nobody's hung 30 on the Texans yet this year, and most teams don't even reach 20.  

Considering how bad our defense is, we may need to score 30 to win.

Nobody has beaten HOU easily this year. And they played a tough schedule - DEN, LAR, SEA, SF, JAX (2), BAL, TB. TEN is only team with a losing record. I am expecting a battle.

Yeah I agree. It would have been nice for sure. Idk why the Bills wouldn't be in on it given the injuries we have.

Fell behind 20-3 to them last season (2024) and ended up losing 23-20. We did a good job blocking the edge guys, but Josh was clearly off and needs to be a lot better. I think we need to come out attacking and get a lead. Turtling and playing a low possession game is a loser approach IMO. And, it also plays right into Houston's game style.

so at least one of Moore or Coleman, if not both will be playing this week. Probably Davis returning punts.

I think we need to be aggressive for sure but that to me does not mean abandon the run game. It means mix it up. Something Brady has yet to do. Also if the run game isn’t happening then get Cook more involved in the pass game. I think last week was a start at that and it can grow from there.
