Shakir, Palmer, and Shavers are under contract next season. If Gabe stays healthy, they'll likely bring him back. 

 

That's 4 right there. It's likely after the past couple seasons of Beane having egg on his face that they will Draft a guy high, sign someone like Evans, Pickens, or Pierce, or make a trade for someone. That's 5.

 

You're right that we're unlikely to cut him. But if things continue as they do and everyone stays healthy - he will almost assuredly be traded next season. The return won't be much (although we got more than expected for Elam, who was further along as a bust), but there will surely be a team that will send us something in a "change of scenery" deal that is common for young players.

I was kinda hoping they might bring him back this week. With Samuel and Hardman out and Shakir missing practice all week with the birth of his baby (congratulations to him by the way) and missing Kincaid....it may have been the perfect storm to have him see some snaps in the slot this week.

I think he’s in track to be the biggest bust ever for Bean. Elam lasted a few years, never heard anything about his attitude or work ethic, and was playable at times. Keon … wow

Being a 2nd round guy,his contract isnt that bad and its better to get rid of him at this point

I'm sure some will take this the wrong way, but is he on the spectrum?  It feels like he isn't quite neurotypical.

 

There are lots of undiagnosed people on the spectrum, and being on it doesn't mean you have the stereotypical appearance and require a caretaker.

Only way he gets back on the field this year is if injury forces their hand. 
 

Hopefully we won’t have to see this clown back in a Bills jersey. Guys like him almost never turn things around, and he’s not worth wasting the reps on to see if he can buck that trend.

I think they aren't done with him quite yet, and financially it makes no sense to cut him. That leaves a trade, and then they gotta figure out is it better to cut and run or help the kid try and get better, mature and improve. 

 

Honestly we don't know what it's been like behind the scenes, and we won't know if this message being sent will work

 

OBD will though, so whichever way they go, I gotta be aware they see him everyday.  

 

I'm gonna guess, how he responds will tell OBD what to do.  So the book isn't written just yet

It’s really the coaches that have no idea what to do with wide receivers. All the wide receivers on this staff have had better years elsewhere (besides rookies and only played here).

In my civilian work, I use a modified version of the Army's After-Action Review (AAR), leading a discussion around these four questions:

 

*  What did we do right?

*  What could we have done better?

*  What did we learn?

*  What will we do differently next time?

 

I wonder if Beane and his team did a post-mortem on the Keon pick, figured out where they went wrong, and took steps to make sure they don't make a similar mistake going forward.
