My fear is that Gabe is just another retread like:

Tre

Poyer

Jordan Phillips

John Brown when he came back to the team

Cole Beasley when he came back to the team

It is utterly amazing that Tre, Poyer, and Phillips are still taking meaningful snaps for an NFL team. Not all of that can be chalked up to injury either

Still not writing Keon off completely but if you’re going to have a guy pretty much exclusively working the boundary downfield and/or 50/50 balls it wouldn’t hurt for it to be Gabe instead. He’s produced in this league.

Coleman's 4.61 40-yard dash doesn't necessarily jump off the charts, but in the gauntlet drill at the NFL Combine, Coleman reached a top speed of 20.36 miles per hour – the fastest speed by a receiver over the last two seasons.

you would think....you would have him running crossers day and night...   he also has made big plays on them yet we rarely ever see

them called for him.

but so ridiculous it's come to this

What exactly is ridiculous about having a receiver that has familiarity with Allen? Currently what we have is NOT working

Gabe? lol. How about Worthy or Hollins. We had both.

Gabe is throwing leftover spaghetti on the wall. Doesn’t solve no #1 WR for the league QB MVP!

How do you know Samuel and Moore are garbage?

Samuel: 6 targets, 5 receptions, 62 yards, 1 TD

Moore: 14 targets, 8 receptions, 115 yards, 0 TD

Those aren't bad numbers. Samuel specifically has been very efficient. And the eye test tells me most of those are on broken plays rather than designed play calls.

The problem is our OC wants to force plays to Coleman even though he's by far the least efficient receiver on the team.

When Samuel and Moore are on field are they getting open at all? I’m not one of the film junkies just to my eyes, I have never seen a QB run around so much as Allen playing Superman for someone to get open. It’s painful to watch. Perhaps it’s scheme but I don’t have complaints on Kincaid or Shakir as slot. The outside WRS seem slow and/or zero separation. Miami backup secondary today shut them down. Why didn’t any of them have a big game today

I'd still take him over Coleman, can't worry about who we don't have anymore. They're not on the roster, Davis is. He may not be a #1, but who do we have that is a #1?

Yep and Palmer. Who knew how valuable these guys were. Coleman, Samuel and Moore are garbage

They do need guys that do more than the periodic flash with a decent catch every once and again .

Honestly thought I would never say it, but what Gabe excelled at which was downfield separation and body positioning with his limited route tree may be just what they need right now instead of Coleman.

That's even if he has not lost a step to injury...

I honestly thought we would see more Elijah Moore on the boundary by now over Coleman. The personnel choices seem a bit more political than logical at this point.

Not trying to bury the kid but his game is not where it needs to be yet to get separation, make plays, and even have teams consider keeping a safety over top.

it has. Davis is only 26. He’s got to have something left in the tank. I think he’s got something to prove after the whole Jax fiasco. Bills are 6-3, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt after a rough Chiefs game, but their stock has taken a hit after this game. Time to throw ***** at the wall and see if it sticks.

I have been wondering this for a few weeks.  If this is true, it is very demoralizing to the other players. Most of us remember having to be on a little team, where the coaches bosses kid had to pitch, and every kid knew they were going to lose.

Yup they meed to activate him for the next game and get some snaps. After Shakir he is the best WR on this roster.

My God that is sad, but probably true.
