That season was so much fun -we went on an incredible run, and the team was so fun to watch. Now it just seems like we're old & tired. We'll still make the playoffs, but will need a whole lot of luck to make any kind of run. We could have another iteration of the team while Allen is still QB - but I'm certainly not as optimistic about getting a title as I was a few years ago. It's definitely a bummer. Sorry but looking at the upcoming schedule I’m not even sure if we make the playoffs 1 Quote

His desire to play and win even destroyed his relationship. I don't think Josh is made up in the same way. Brady was a super bowl champion early in his career Easy to want to do what it takes when you hit paydirt Josh been the good solider falling on McClappy grenades for years now How many hours of therapy did Josh sit through after 13 seconds? Yep he is not Patty or Tom I see it a mile away , he cares but not obsessed , I said before I love the guy but he loves other things more than just Football. Quote

Milano has become a huge liability and that's a shame after his great career. When Joey Bosa is your most impactful player things are sad! I can’t argue the first point, but Joey Bosa has been a pro selection multiple times and isn’t really that old and has only been held back by injury. I don’t think him being the most impactful player is sad. He needs a lot of support which he hasn’t received from the rest of the team that has been healthy. Quote

Lol I have been anti mcd since 13 seconds and highly critical since he refused to pull Peterman at the half and let Dennison take the blame. Quote

I hope we are not witnessing the twilight of his prime. His ability to get away from the pass rush has been significantly less this year. That part is very clear. The one time he did it today, he looked absolutely gassed for the rest of the drive. The question is whether Josh has truly lost a step physically, or if our inability to get the ball downfield is also allowing teams to keep QB spies closer to the line of scrimmage, taking away that part of his game. Either way, the fact is that Josh Allen CANNOT be Superman forever. We all knew this years ago. The player he's been most compared to (Cam Newton) started regressing around 29-30 years old. The others (John Elway and Ben Roethlisberger) were forced to transition into being less mobile as their careers went into their early 30s. 1 Quote

It's more healthy to have a rounded outlook rather than Brady's bloody mindedness. And having to work with the other Brady and Beane's roster building? I'd be looking for an out too. Quote

At MINIMUM, this is on them for bringing in as many undersized starters as they have. You can not have this huge of an 8 year sample size and just say "injuries, yeesh". We are consistently among the most hurt teams, especially on the defense. Year after year. There's no SB in September. Assembling a durable team is part of the difficulty of roster building and team management. Not getting it done sucks, injuries are the worst way to have a let down of a season... but these injuries still point to Management failure. Draft bigger. Injury prone player? You g2 move on sooner. Injury prone player you can't move on from? Your job to allocate better resources to depth. Our handling of WR and ESPECIALLY CB position. Every coach/FO is going to have back breaking injuries every now and then... but we have msde the same mistakes over and over and over. You cant get obliterated by injuries year after year without accountability. Spinning our wheels over and over Gambling our season on the hopes of X player finally being healthy, is still gambling. They've gambled the mortgage away. Its irresponsible. I know it sucks, its really the worst way to lose, but you cant gamble on these decisions without factoring in the possibility of injuries Landon Jackson is like a microcosm of every decent player that is drafted or signs a contract it seems like.... im not sure how u even get that unlucky accidently 1 Quote
BeastMaster Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago We have failed to get our QB a legitimate weapon at wideout since they sent Diggs packing and BTW, he's looking good and laughing at the Bills with a Pats team that looks to have a much brighter future than Josh and the Bills The wr problem gets ignored every year and what did they do last season when Davante Adams was available? They got a washed Amari Cooper and now Adams currently leads wideouts in TD's. Same story this season except they didn't even make a move to get Josh a guy. And then Beane has the nerve to get snippy when the media asks him about a glaring weakness that continues to be exposed when it matters the most Quote
jcamm1966 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago McD also holds NOBODY accountable u can't be everybodys buddy , I never see him lose his skull or on the bench coaching players like Varbel , I love that but never ever see McD do that. He is a CEO not a HC 1 Quote

Bangarang Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Too many injuries on defense. Not enough talent on offense. I just don't see this team going on the road in the playoffs and beating anyone good. With no cap space to work with we are in quite the pickle thanks to Beane. The complete lack of talent he's put around Josh should be a fireable offense. Such an overrated GM who has relied on a generational QB to hide his mistakes for years. For every gamble and win on a player like Bosa, were on the losing end of a Milano. Theyre gambling too much. Too scared at the idea of going backwards, to move forwards. I get that line of thinking, it can be practical in certain aspects of life. Like job security..... but it is not a winning mentality in the NFL. Maybe if we played our cards differently over the years we have a team that doesn't win the division, or even misses the playoffs.... but could be better off in long run. Getting out of/avoiding bad contracts. End up with a total bust vs a high ceiling upside player. Maybe we miss playoffs in a year we arent a real contender... but you get compensated through the draft. We have such a fear of moving backwards, that we take no risks thst could move us forward... now the Bills come due.... we're the playoffs version of drought era Bills. Stuck in "2nd rd of playoffs purgatory". Quote
