VW82 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago One perplexing aspect of this season is how often Josh has been off. I just listend to Joe Marino's All-22 and his assessment was that out of 15 misses, it broke down as follows: 4x no one was open, 3x Josh turned down wide open, 1x Josh and Shakir not on same page, but this was Josh's fault let's be real, 2x drops, 2x inaccurate both to Keon, 3x protection. 1 Quote
milfandcookies Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago It was kind of a miracle to win the Ravens game. Should be 5-4 right now and things sure would be different Quote

He needs to get right for them to even have a slight chance of doing something this year. All due respect to Cook, this team goes nowhere if Allen isn't their best player. Quote

But the bad contracts and late/missed draft picks have caught up to us. I personally think believing that Josh was ssooo good that we could plug anyone in at reciever and we could make it work was the biggest mistake. The run started to fade last off season when they kept Brady. I was not a fan of his play calling last year and this year is no different. Not having a plan to counter a base defense this season is mind boggling. Injuries have ravaged this team for three seasons. That is something that has to be addressed. 1 Quote
JP51 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Bottom line McBeane have done the unthinkable absolutely wasted the career to date or maybe the greatest talent Buffalo has seen. Congratulations on your utter incompetence. 1 2 Quote
dcinmuncie Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The ironic thing about this offseason is the only guy who was extended who hasn’t been a disappointment was the only guy no one seemingly wanted to extend 1 Quote

I think the contract he got is entirely fair and glad we were able to lock him up Quote
Sweats Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Our FO is dumpster diving for players and expecting to have a decent team on the field each season........that's on them if they put themselves in cap hell with bad contracts for mediocre players. Quote

Knox is over paid. DJones is over paid. Heck, Shakir is over paid in comparison. 1 2 Quote

I agree. McDermott wanted defense above all else. If I was Josh I would be furious. 9 minutes ago, DrDawkinstein said: Cook wouldnt be over paid even if we gave him exactly what he asked for on social media. Samuel is over paid. Knox is over paid. CirclnWagons Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just finished listening to the OBL Monday recap. I understand that Chris and Steve don’t speak directly for the organization but I think they have a pretty good pulse on the situation and hearing them go on for 10 mins about how fans should feel lucky that the team has made the playoffs for the past few seasons pretty sums up the suspicions I had about the entire organization. “Playoff caliber” mindset is resulting in being completely content getting that one or two post season opportunities and packing it in. I must admit, after the drought, I too was so happy just getting the opportunity to play in the post season that I overlooked several glaring issues with the program. Now, we’re simply waisting a once in a generation under center while Beane waxes poetic about not “mortgaging our future.” If a playoff berth is good enough, why play the game? Quote
vanhalen26 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think they are toast this year. Come back healthy next year and not slammed with injuries the D could be decent. And need to focus any $$ available and draft picks on receivers. Then we can bounce back. I’ll bet Pegula is relieved the new Highmark sales are almost complete. Quote

The Ravens win is balanced by a Pats loss which they had three atrocious turnovers and a bunch of other misses that turned what should've been a win into a loss. Quote

It was very concerning and a huge red flag for me when I saw some clips from the Field House earlier this year and they still had "Playoff Caliber" painted everywhere. I was surprised and disappointed they hadnt made the move to "Championship Caliber". Gotta keep striving to move forward, raise the levels. What worked to get us this far wont work to get us to the next step. But no. Same ol, same ol. And now "Playoff Caliber" is even at risk. 21 minutes ago, Bill from NYC said: How about Oliver? His cap hit this year is $11M. For his production when healthy, he's worth that. He produces far more than anyone else I named in the previous post. But we could definitely add Milano to that list. Now next year, when Ed's number jumps to $24M, different story... 1 Quote

Where do you want us to route the participation ribbons and the 'We're in the Hunt!' banners?" 1 Quote
