He is not doing this to spite the fans.  To say that is completely irrational

Bills have a good run game and good short passing game that is an extension to the run game. McD talks about being two dimensional a lot in his press conferences but the O is not even close to that. And he ***** loves it. Then he’ll go on about how they gotta stay ahead of chains, dominate LOS so our passing game can feed off that. Being two dimensional means you are good at both and it’s just not the case. And like I said, he loves it. This is his style football.  Problem is the O gotta play perfect for it to work. It works but when it doesn’t it looks bad, real bad. D gave up 3 scores on first 4 drives. Against ATL, 3 scores on first 4 drives as well. Once you get behind it’s hard to dig your way out.  Pressure is off the opposing D to play perfect football, they just gotta keep the ball infront of them.

I haven't read all the posts in this thread so maybe this has been talked about but did any one we tried the onside kick to early?  3:30 left, 3 TO's and the 2 minute warning Why not start Miami at their 30?  Instead they started at the Bills 38 allowing them to be more aggressive then they would have been back at their 30.  IMO you save the onside kick until the last moment.  Hell, the extra pressure on the receiving team with a minute left might make a difference.

On paper, you'd think this WR room was better than last year.

Last year, other than the Baltimore game early on, I rarely felt we were out of it.  Games like the Rams game where the D got cooked, we still felt like we were in the game because we could still move the ball.

I miss Mack Hollins, the attitude he brought to the room and the key catches he made even though he never lit up the stat sheet.

I really think they need to go back and look at what they were doing schematically last season compared to what they're doing this year. It's just not the same.

Hollins and Cooper are definitely missed.

Even tho he was the end of his career, Cooper still had to be accounted for from a big play potential standpoint. Opposing D's just don't respect anyone we got on the outside now.

TO's are going to happen.  In the past the Bills often overcame them because they were built to overcome them.  This team not so much.

Regression towards the mean was always likely. Then you need a competent WR room, but the defense needed fixing, so lots of folks were happy to put that on the back burner.

And that means because we happened to stink today that Beane is deliberately trying to spite the fans?  Come on.  Get over yourselves.  Should our WR room be better?  Sure, I’ll agree.  But he brought Palmer who is hurt and tried to get Waddle in a trade.

We lost today.  But if you think the only reason we lost today is the lack of one WR that’s crazy.  The O line was bad, we lost our best receiver when Kincaid got hurt, the D did not play well in part because of all the injuries, and we had 3 turnovers.

If we don’t make the payoffs Beane and McD should be held to account for their performance and a change considered to be sure.  But let’s drop the crap about purposely trying to spite fans.  That is absurd.

Imagine face planting into the most athletic QB in history and then designing a run-first, < 5 yard passing attack for him lol

That’s what I don’t understand. You’ve got one of the best QBs to ever play the game and they make an organizational decision to make him a Brock Purdy game manager. It makes no sense.

We have no vertical passing game.

Problem was Cooper was the wrong guy we got

Davante Adams is leading the league for receiving TD's and we could've traded for him instead of a washed Cooper

Another Beane failure

Cooper wasn’t washed. He was uninterested in playing football.  It’s too bad because a motivated Cooper could have been the difference last year and this year. The fact that he hasn’t signed anywhere tells the whole story.

Ian Cunningham (Assistant GM, Chicago Bears): He is consistently a popular candidate who has interviewed for multiple GM jobs. He has a strong background, having worked in the front offices of successful organizations like the Baltimore Ravens and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ed Dodds (Assistant GM, Indianapolis Colts): Long considered one of the most respected evaluators in the league, Dodds was a key part of the Seattle Seahawks' front office during their Super Bowl run before joining the Colts as Chris Ballard's right-hand man.

Mike Borgonzi (Assistant GM, Kansas City Chiefs): As the assistant to Brett Veach, Borgonzi has been an integral part of building the Chiefs' perennial Super Bowl contender roster. Front offices often look to successful organizations like Kansas City for their next leaders.

This totally neutralizes the QB league MVP. As opposing DC, this is my dream

McDermott has his philosophy of complimentary football and that's what he wants to run- period.

I like McD but I think he's too rigid for his own good. Instead of building around his QB, he wants his QB to conform to his vision of ball control offense.

Ironically, Purdy is playing for a head coach who wants to score with reckless abandon while Josh is here with a guy who wants him neutered.

The problem is that some poor drafting and FA signings combined with a lot of injury's with the new players has meant that not only haven't they fixed the D it is playing worse then it was last year.  There are some bright spots but the return on the draft & FA capital spent on this defense over the last few years has been piss poor.

Pretty sad to see what Beane has become. He had a promising career but has become a shell of himself. Time for a change and upgrade for the Bills.

He hit on Allen and then….

The offense was frustrating today and at times it looks to hard but we are going to score. Today might not feel like the day to do it but the reality is never going to change. Until we fix this defense this will NEVER change. The offense made big mistakes and they never got on Rhythm but they can never, ever have an off day. The offense presses so hard and has so

much pressure on it because they know they can’t ever rely on help. No matter how bad it was we still had a shot towards the end. And we just can’t stop the ***** run. It’s almost a decade of the same story. This scheme does not work. Teams willing to run can have it whenever they want. That’s why close games feel the way they do. Because unless we are out front and forcing teams to be one dimensional, we have NO answers. If our defense is always this bad, what is the value to having McDermott? He’s horrible at game day clock management, clueless on challenges, rotates players in and out constantly and has nothing to do with the offense. Wtf do we need him for? How is he helping?

The obsession with trading for a WR on this board is starting to become hilarious. Brady has no idea how to utilize WRs properly and we think giving him a new one would’ve been some magic wand that solves our problems? Aight.

Ever since Joe Shoen (sp?) left.
