Billsfed1 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Bro has the worst injury imaginable in a huge game…basically will’s himself off the field and refuses all medical attention (just like Stone Cold Steve Austin). Only to sit there with a torn achilles for half a game to support his team. You could tell this was a big deal to McDermott. It’s exactly the type of DNA the organization is looking for. 5 15 7 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I have stated numerous times I was a huge fan of the Hoecht signing even when everyone was like overpay or who the hell is this guy etc. Hecwas a great piece to that young pass rush with the Rams. I do wonder a bit if the Roids have a bit to do with the injury. Roids build good mass obviously but they also tighten them and make your muscles more tense. Just a small observation that I thought of when it happened 4 Quote
MPL Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Seeing him hopping on one leg and still trying to make a play was wild. Hope he's able to come back at some point next year. Fingers crossed it turns out to be just a partial tear, similar to Terrell Suggs' 2012 achilles tear. 1 Quote

Just a small observation that I thought of when it happened They make muscles stronger faster than the tendons and ligaments can build strength to support them which is why they happen so often with people on them...no idea if that was the reason why, but it doesn't help. 3 Quote
CNYfan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I heard Chao say they are getting better at this surgery. I think he will be ready next September 5 Quote

Urban Achievers Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Take his DNA and clone him. If created and developed properly the clone will understand the complexities of the defense in just 5 years. In all seriousness I wish him and his family the best on speedy recovery… it’s certainly a big loss to our defense. He’s a good guy who no doubt has the will to get back into form for next season. 2 Quote

Pete Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) They interviewed Hoecht on the sideline, shortly after his injury. Hoecht declined heading to locker room. Hoecht said im gonna watch the game right here on the bench with my teammates. WGR said on Max’s interception Hoecht was banging on the seat loudly, cheering and giving high 5s. He cheered his team and celebrated the win with them. Hoecht is Top Notch Edited 6 hours ago by Pete 3 6 2 Quote
oldmanfan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago What a damn shame. He was a perfect fit for the D. We hope for a successful survey and quick recovery, and for guys like Groot and AJ (and yes Jackson gets his shot) to carry the battle forward. 3 Quote
All_Pro_Bills Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Going forward without him, I hope the intensity and effort I saw Hoecht play with will resonate with the other members of the Bills defense. Adding to it I think we saw that trait and an I get it now moment happen with Bishop at Safety during yesterday and I've already got the impression we're going to see it with Hairston too. Quote
billsherd Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Any chance Beane looks for his replacement via trade? 2 Quote

Steptide Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I hope he sticks around for the younger guys on the sideline for the rest of the season. Not sure what team protocol is once a player is ir'd for the year, but hoping he can at least coach up some younger guys 2 Quote

He has length and pass rushing moves. The game is starting to slow down a little for Jackson, it was too fast at first. Marino broke down his tape earlier this season. Jackson was not doing some of his college pass rushing moves, not using his hands as much- simple stuff to correct with coaching and reps. If Jackson can bring some heat to opposing QBs in playoffs, then Beane knocked this draft out of the park. Max-looks like a superstar TJ- flashed a little, injured, is he coming back? When? Jackson- did it in college Deone Walker- steal of the draft. Massive human with quick feet Jordan Hancock-adds speed and athleticism Hawes- awesome smasher! Dorian Strong- looked good- neck injury. Does he ever return? Chase Lundt on active roster. kudos Beane A+ 2025 Draft 8 minutes ago, oldmanfan said: I imagine Beane is working the phones for a DT or DE plus a WR. 🙏🛐🧎➡️🧎➡️🧎➡️🙏🙏🙏🙏🤲🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐 1 Quote
NewEra Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago What a difference maker. Many thought we overpaid. We waaaay underpaid. Helluva job Beane. McDermott gets credit too as he had the vision for him. it’s been tough listening to bills podcasts today. I don’t want to think about how devastating this injury is. Beanes offseason looking like one of his better jobs. Only guys that haven’t panned out as we hoped is sanders and Ogunjobi- 2-3 games per player, I expect them to contribute by the end of the year. 2 Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Wonder if Steph has some of that pink fun dip. Seems to help him get back faster. 1 Quote

Speaks volumes about him and the type of team chemistry! Ball this up and shoot it in my veins (or buttocks) 1 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Its funny to see how beloved he already is after less than 2 games when the vast majority of this board crapped all over his signing all offseason, both before and after the PED announcement came out. I kept telling people this dude can ball and was going to be a key player on this defense, but all anyone wanted to do was crap on the signing because they had not heard of him. Rams fans were bummed to see him go despite Bills fans being less than enthused to sign him. Reminds of when we signed Hyde and people kept crapping on that signing too while Packers fans were not happy to see him leave. Its a real bummer the injury happened, I had been amped up for his debut and in less than 2 games he was already making his mark. Solomon came in after he went down and actually had some nice reps, so not sure how they manage the DL moving forward, but I definitely think with Hoecht, Ed, and Carter out for most or rest of season Beane may be active ahead of the deadline. 1 1 Quote
