sven233 Posted yesterday at 12:28 AM Posted yesterday at 12:28 AM (edited) Max again on the last play..... He needs to start and not come off the field.... Great game for the young kids today. But man, losing Hoecht just puts a damper on the whole thing. Quick thoughts now because I think I am going to be stewing on the Hoecht injury all night: 1. Bishop was great today. Sort of a coming out party. Wasn't perfect, but made a ton of impact plays. 2. The defensive line really stepped up. Now, a lot of that was because Hoecht was an animal again today and really changed the effectiveness of the line as a whole. But obviously, this will be the last time this season I will be able to say this because he's done for the year. And you saw it when he went out. He went down and the very next play is 4th and 18 with no pass rush. 3. Bosa was good today. He made his share of impact plays. Him and Hoecht really had things going up front. Going to need Bosa to carry the load the rest of the way and that's going to be tough. 4. Max, in limited snaps, might be our best CB already. We'll see what he does with more playing time, but man, I want the kid starting and on the field way more going forward. 5. On the exact opposite front, I don't need to see Ingram anywhere near the field going forward. 6. Cook was great again and our offensive line was dominant for a lot of the game. There is obviously more things that I can list, and I am sure all of you will cover them, but I need a separate section for this discussion. OUR WRS ARE STILL AWFUL AND ARE GOING TO BE THE MAIN REASON WE WON'T GET TO WHERE WE WANT TO GO. Yup.....the same as it ever was. It was the conversation going into the game and the game just reinforced it. If it wasn't for our TEs, we would literally have no passing game to speak of. Sure, Moore had the 1 catch late which was great, but that was the only play of note from any of our WRs today. Everything else was at the LOS and it's awful. The Chiefs figured it out in the 2nd half and virtually shut our offense down. We can't live this way and it's going to be our downfall in the end. I am not saying anything we didn't know already, but it is such a freaking glaring problem and Beane has 2 days to try and find some help. Needless to say, I'm not holding my breath especially after his infamous rant after the draft. Nobody's laughing now, are they Beane? You came across like a fool then and look like an even bigger one now because of our WR production now...... However, I want to shout out the TE group. The only group of impact weapons in the pass game we have. Great game guys. PS..... Happy about the win, of course, but until we do it in January, I refuse to get overly excited. Dick_Cheney Posted yesterday at 12:28 AM Posted yesterday at 12:28 AM A critical win that we absolutely had to have, but still, we are inconsistent and clearly in need of some upgrades. Beane needs to make at least 2 trades. It is time to go all in. 3 1 5 Quote

tigerthelion Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM Gotta honestly give credit to Mcd foe that last play. Didnt just rush three and you saw that Mahomes was rushed and wasn't even able to make it into the end zone. 14 1 Quote

Iverwig Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM All around team win. Quite a few players stepped up today to make huge plays. Quote
MPT Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM Wow great game from Allen when they actually let him throw the ball (read: in the 1st half) and great game from Hairston and Bishop and Bosa on defense. A few coaching blunders on both sides of the ball kept this game much closer than it should have been. Very sad about Hoecht. He looked like he completely changed our defense. 1 1 Quote
Fixxxer Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM Great win. Sometimes we make it look easy, sometimes we shoot ourselves in the foot. Quote
Billz4ever Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM Love the win, but hate losing Hoecht. He's a tone setter and always around the ball. 1 2 Quote
