Remember that thread earlier in the week about what you most disliked about the chiefs? It's this type of s*** right here.

It's a cool footnote to the history of the team. But the games were played 30 years ago. I'm more focused on the future than the past.

Now don't you and your kind have some banks to rob so you can come to Buffalo this weekend?

McDermott guaranteed KC's inevitable demise earlier this year. A Bills-Chiefs game in Arrowhead seems unlikely at this point, but rest assured this clip will be played on the jumbotron pre kickoff if they do happen to meet.

That clip just shows he has assimilated into the WNY/ Buffalo family and will always be a part of this region going forward & you can hear his passion for all of it in that clip .

I pray that he can not only stop the Chiefs from going to 4 in a row but can bring a Lombardi to Buffalo to shut up those that can't see his passion he has for this team, this area and for his job !!!

Its always been a weak moral victory for me. Yes its an achievement to do it 4 years in a row but the fact that I watched them lose 4 in a row is still a deep wound in my soul. Its not just that should have won at least 1 or 2 of them, its the bad luck we encountered in each game and the pure karmic unfairness of it all that a team that great never winning it.  That being said, for me finally winning the SB hopefully washes that all away.

They were good teams. It's an accomplishment for sure, but I don't really think about those years too much anymore. That run was over 30 years ago at this point.

They should have gotten the first one. It snowballed after that. Then those Cowboys teams were basically unstoppable.

The second Cowboy team was stoppable and still lament way that first half went. We had them on the ropes but Kelly and the offense couldn't cash in a TD before the half ended so we had to settle on the FG and make it a 7 point lead when it could have been 11. Therefore Thurman's fumble that lead to the Cowboys next TD in the 2nd half may not have been as "devastating". Yet it is what it is, I am proud they made it but sure hurts they lost all 4 but that was then and this is now. I hope KC doesn't make 4 in row so can claim our Bills did something that likely never happen again.

The McDermott haters will not stop. They will say Josh Allen won despite McDermott. They will use the whole "Yeah ...but we didn't dominate. The way we won wasn't sustainable." and the narrative will immediately shift to "Well, no way can he do it again"

It is a point of pride for sure. It will stick in my craw a little bit if its now a "shared" record, yes.

That said...while the four losses hurt, that era as a whole is a source of pride and great, fun memories for the Bills and their fans. We got to watch about ten hall of fame players in their prime, including some all time greats like Bruce Smith, on the same team at once for almost a decade. And the game day party in Orchard Park was off the hook. Outside of those four lousy Sundays, it was the best and that record being tied or falling will never change that.

Go ahead and flame away, but the AFC was a far weaker conference during the Bills run. The AFC is the better conference now. If KC were to make four in a row now, it would be the greater accomplishment.

You think the current AFC QB crop is better than Kelly, Elway, Marino, Moon ? I’m not so sure. This is before my time, but AFC QBs seem pretty damn weak to me considering Daniel Jones is running the conference.

Wrong again with this stuff.

I'm about done with McD. He's had 9 years to show us exactly who he is, and I believe him.

That said, if he wins a SB this year, put up his statue outside the new stadium next year and give him a lifetime contract. I dont care if we go 3-14 the next 3 years.

A single championship means so much to this team, city, and fanbase.

(Although, yes, I'd probably say Josh won in spite of him, but that's exactly what reality and all evidence has shown so far)

The Bills being the only team to have ever done it.....is it a point of pride for a Bills fan?  Is it an important record even though the Bills lost all 4?

The Chiefs have a chance to tie that record if they were to make it again this season.

Besides the obvious...if KC makes a 4th in a row, it means the Bills didn't make it this year......but aside from that.....having that record be shared with another team make you mad?  Relieved?  Indifferent?

4 time first place loser. I speak of it when asked as a fan of football as an accopmlishment in the sense that you have to win four conference championships in a row. But, at the end of the day you still walk home with the sh*t sandwhich taste of the loss in the SB, clouds the accomplishment. If KC does it it will be equally impressive but more so because they they have won. So we the BILLS will be the gloomiest 4 time loser of the SB, and no one is gonna beat that record, Go Bills!!! Happy Halloween!

I'm completely indifferent to it.

It's certainly not an accomplishment that you can use as a flex, because if you do, you know damn well what comments are coming next.

It’s history. It was fun, but I’m not living in the past.

This sounds accurate (and obvious) to me.

Oh don’t worry about that. Regardless of what KC will do those Bills teams did something that will never happen again. That I have the utmost confidence in.

So, I'm wrong, yet you confirm you would do just what I said at the end of your post. Good stuff! Lol

Having lived through and suffered through it, I’m still proud of the Bills for the incredible resilience to do that. I was in the crowd for the 1994 AFC championship game against the Chiefs. It was a lifetime memory. I was at that Super Bowl too, that was a lifetime memory too :(

I would LOVE for the current Bills to deny KC from tieing the record.

What better team to stop the Chiefs from doing it than us in the playoffs. I don't think it happens at Arrowhead, though. It would have to be here.

The AFC was significantly weaker than the NFC at that time.

If the Bills win a Super Bowl with McDermott, then he immediately goes to the top of list as the greatest Bills coach of all-time. Same for Beane as GM. But after 9 years of not getting, it done and 8 with an elite level QB then it is fair to question if this FO should be replaced. That's not hating on McDermott and Beane. That's just fans bringing up a good point.

All the Bills can do at this point is beat the Chiefs.  Until they do, when it counts, we'll be the bridesmaid.

Zerovoltz is annoying but it's not like he's wrong.  He's a less unpleasant nick wright

Different sport but as an Islanders fan nothing will ever top 5 straight trips to the SC Finals. 19 straight playoff series wins which is still a record that stands today. 4 straight SC championships. With that said that was a lifetime ago just like the Bills 4 straight trips to the Super Bowl. I don't really think about either of those achievements anymore especially the Isles as they currently suck.
