LabattBlue Posted yesterday at 04:26 PM Posted yesterday at 04:26 PM He would be a waste of another draft pick and just mixed into the JAG bowl with Palmer, Moore, Coleman & Samuel. Hard pass. 4 4 1
boyst Posted yesterday at 04:27 PM Posted yesterday at 04:27 PM Anyone knows that the bills are interested in a wide receiver. So that title is moot. Anyone with half a brain would figure the bills inquired or asked about several wide receivers in the league so that is also moot Until these are actual sourced claims with bona fide vetted information it's just all speculative to generate clicks. The fodder is overwhelming 3 1
Cheektowaga Chad Posted yesterday at 04:28 PM Posted yesterday at 04:28 PM Can he get open quick on the outside? That would be my biggest concern He has been a slot guy 2

Hard pass. The guy had 1,000 yards receiving with Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew throwing the ball to him while Brock Bowers was balling out. He averaged 11.8 yards per catch. Right in line with Cee Dee Lamb. Not saying the guy is elite, but I think he may be more than just a JAG and could probab;y be had for a 3rd round pick, 2nd round tops. 4 1

As @Kirby Jackson so aptly put it, Meyers is the final boss of the JAGs. 1 1

That would be my biggest concern He has been a slot guy he’s not exclusively a slot guy since leaving New England. Quite the opposite. 50.9% of his career snaps have come from the slot. In 2024, only 19.6% of Meyers' total targets came from the slot, compared to his higher rate earlier in his career (39 of his targets) He averaged 1.48 yards per route run from the slot, which was lower than his overall average of 1.76. Was effective on contested catches, hauling in 9 of 10 (90%) slot targets when contested. Id say the stats and production dictate he’s a versatile receiver who sees more production as a boundary guy, at least in his recent career. That’s a no from me personally but there’s production to show he’s certainly capable of being a boundary guy. Edited yesterday at 04:36 PM by Sojourner 4

LEBills Posted yesterday at 04:43 PM Posted yesterday at 04:43 PM (edited) Meyers has been a pretty good receiver. I haven’t watched any Raiders game this year so not sure how he has looked this year. But the last two years he has been basically the 32nd WR1 in terms of yards per route run and first downs per route run. He also has played the chiefs 4 times and averages like 5 catches for 65 yards and half a touchdown in those meetings. He also played outside about 70% of the time in 2023 and 2024. He had a slower 40 time than Keon and will be turning 29 in a few days (an age cliff for WR production in many receivers). He would just be help for this year as he is certainly better than Shavers or Moore and probably Palmer too. But if Raiders won’t take any less than a day 2 pick you walk away faster than Meyers can run. Edited yesterday at 04:44 PM by LEBills 1
schoolhouserock Posted yesterday at 04:45 PM Posted yesterday at 04:45 PM Jakobi Myers is only SLIGHTLY better than Keon based on these analytics. Yeesh…https://x.com/alexbrasky/status/1983542355819950470?s=46 1
DCOrange Posted yesterday at 04:46 PM Posted yesterday at 04:46 PM Tweet is misleading. Fowler doesn't actually say that the Bills are pursuing Meyers. Just says teams believe the Bills are in the market for a WR and Meyers appears to be the most likely WR to be traded. 2 1 1
QCity Posted yesterday at 04:46 PM Posted yesterday at 04:46 PM This thread is the perfect example of the telephone game. This morning Jeremy Fowler wrote "Several teams are believed to be in the receiver market, most notably the Steelers and possibly the Broncos and Bills." Possibly, as in speculation. This tweet took this quote and ran with it "The Steelers, Broncos, and Bills are all in the market for Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers" The thread title makes it sound as if the Bills are "all in" 50 page thread inc 3 3
co_springs_billsfan Posted yesterday at 04:51 PM Posted yesterday at 04:51 PM I guess we could use another slot WR to replace Shakir when he inevitably gets injured on our snakebitten franchise... 1
