Chris Olave is my guess at the player they want. Just don’t know that Shaheed moves the needle enough. Hes a boom or bust player, which I’m not sure is something that Buffalo is wanting.

Olave has all the traits of a true leading WRs of an NFL passing game, and is still in his first contract

Agree re Olave. He's probably a legit #1. As you know the only issue in his case is the headaches. I don't think Shaheed is boom or bust however.

Beane runs a tight ship, but sometimes the other team or the agent will leak.

Beane is usually active on Trade Deadline.  WGR stated every time Beane dealt, every deal was after 3:36

Would like a dependable #2 back.  Not sure he is on the team right now.

A friend of mine has been hoping for a big, North-South back for us for awhile.

I am just not sure who is out there.

We have Frank Gore Jr. on the PS. I would think we'd give him a shot before we'd spend draft capital mid season in a sellers market on a position that isn't of great need right now.

Interesting....

Yea it is interesting for sure but that WR corps isn’t very good right now even with BTJ. Just lost Hunter who’s been disappointing so far and their next best guys are Dyami Brown and Parker Washington

With the Jags getting Meyers...does this maybe indicate they're moving another receiver?

Doesn't have to be a pre-cursor to BTJ being traded, but it can only help.  Especially if we're willing to also add Keon, or any other WR on our roster except Shakir.

Makes sense.  Hunter is out for a while and the Jags are in the playoff conversation…seems like BTJ is not on offer…

Worthy reaching critical levels of overhyped in the media has me irrationally worried about beane trading for a wr haha although I doubt GMs pay any attention to skill position player hype like that 😂

really don’t know what I’m missing with worthy it just baffles me every week…one guy is slow with a mediocre OC and one guy is fast with the best offensive play caller of all time but worthy and coleman have pretty much the same in season production.  I really don’t think either guy will work out to be a long term starter tbh.

Worthy has lower career receiving yards per game than Coleman and Palmer have had in this bills offense…pretty wild stat

Worthy is fast but his success rate on long balls is not good. I'd have to check but I think that was also the case in college.

Interesting indeed… @Kirby Jackson what are your thoughts? Could this have been a moving part in the talks that you know about? Could it have hinged on the Jags getting another receiver to fill the void of moving BTJ?

So glad the Bills didn't make a deal for Meyers...doesn't move the needle for me at all.

The Bills showed on Sunday night that they can feature their TEs in the passing offense with some occasional WR involvement.  If Palmer comes back shortly I think we are ok for this season.  Would much rather have them look at DT help.

Putting teams in high leverage situations under pressure where likely tries to take advantage of them or tries to get the best deal he can. Or perhaps they are doing that to us 😂

Rapoport says Hunter won't be out long:

I find it interesting that the Jags are choosing to put this info out there. Precursor to BTJ getting traded? I don't want to get my hopes up but it's possible.

Probably not, or if they are, more likely to be Dyami Brown or Parker Washington vs. who you're hoping for lol. Meyers is theoretically a really nice complement to BTJ and Hunter.

That seems like the move you make if you are trading BTJ, doesn't make much sense otherwise.

Meyers to the Jags is interesting, though probably more likely that Hunter is going to be out for awhile than moving off BTJ. But doesn’t hurt. Jags don’t have a first round pick next year.

Rapoport is saying Hunter's injury is not long term, may be back in 3 weeks when he's eligible to come off IR.
