Problem with the Bills everyone eats  is the  big rotation and our best players not getting a full snap count. Also on tape the rotation and player personnel is gonna tip teams off while studying film.

Kincaid and Shakir gotta be on the field more. Only two really proven players we have as pass catchers. The others you never know what your gonna get

Edelman? Welker? Deion Branch? Troy Brown? They ALWAYS made sure to surround Brady with high end pass catchers. They also had Gronk and Hernandez. Brady’s top 2 pass catchers are first ballot HOFers. He also had Faulk, Lewis and White as pass catching backs.

Deion Branch????

C’mon, man.

He was a good receiver. His last year in New England he had 998 yards. The year before that he was the Super Bowl MVP. He was then traded for a 1st & signed a big deal in Seattle. Let’s not pretend he was some scrub. 🤣🤣

I wonder how many true separation receivers Tom Brady and Bill Belichick had during their 18 year run. Other than Randy Moss my memory is going to say they had mostly average receivers. I could be wrong though.

I think that your take is pretty accurate.   They had Gronk as a big downfield threat  for a while after Moss, but he missed a lot of time in several seasons because of injuries.  For a significant number of seasons they had Welker and then Edelmann who were sure-handed, clutch WRs playing in the slot more than being downfield threats.  Later in the Belichick/Brady era, the Pats also had ex-Bill Chris Hogan at WR.  Most of their boundary WRs were decent but they weren't among the best WRs of their time.

Let's not pretend that Deion Branch was Justin Jefferson or DK Metcalf or any of the big name WRs that some Bills fans fantasize about.   He was traded to Seattle after his big 998 yard season, and then was traded back to NE a couple of years later.   In 2010, Branch caught passes for 930 yards between the Seahawks and Patriots.  Other than his 2 big seasons, Branch's yards per season were modest, mostly between 400 and 800 yards.   He was a decent WR, but hardly a really good one.

Who said he was Jefferson or Metcalf? That was Randy Moss (but Moss was better of course).

Branch had injury issues. His full season average was 63/807/5. That’s a good 11 year career. His name, and other Patriot receivers names, came up as a response to, “how many elite separation receivers did Brady and Belichick have?” Lol, the entire Patriots WR room was built with quick guys that ran precise routes. They had good NFL careers BECAUSE of their ability to get open. That’s the skill that the Pats valued most in the pass catchers outside of their superstars (Moss and Gronk). Hope this helps clear the confusion…

"Everyone eats" was just a euphemism for Josh doesn't need to force feed a whiner anymore.

But it also means we need to be better with play calling and Josh needs to be better with understanding what the defense is giving him and finding the guys who are open. We've seen some mixed results with that this year imo.

I'm still ok with everyone eating,

I just want James to eat way more then everyone else 🤷‍♂️ (combined)

The funny part is, this is what they did to Dallas with Cook.  They just ran it down their throats because they couldn't stop it.

But for some reason when a receiver/TE is the "hot hand" they go away from it.

From the title of this thread, it sounds like food is back on the table so to speak as a discussion topic.

Thanks for asking.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in our still great country.

After the wife monopolized the protein cooking for the past 5 Thanksgiving and leaving the sides to my under-utilized culinary talents, it is MY turn this year.

I have made turkey in well over 25+ different ways in my life.

Boring.

We switched to capons 5+ years ago for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The problem is the ladies of this household will eat it at Thanksgiving however the island princesses are too good to eat leftovers and I have capon to eat alone for the next week.

NOT this year.

NOT this year.

STOP me if this reminds you of the Ravens Home Opener this year...

I have 3 Cornish Hens brining in the fridge since Tuesday.

I am going to put them on the rotisserie I created for the Big Green Egg after stuffing them with a stuffing of Wild Rice and other ingredients (you ain't ready for that reveal).

They sure do look a lot like Falcons.

Just sayin'.

They are mean MF'ers...

Interesting comparison.  Me thinks that our skill guys are better than the Pats teams that won those Lombardis, but then there’s the coach.

I’m not sorry, but that’s patently false.  Gronk is a first ballot HOF TE, they had Hernandez who was better than both TEs on this team for a couple years.  Welker is also likely headed to the HOF and better than Shakir as been thus far.  Unless you are delusional enough to argue there are future HOF guys playing on this team, which is just not real, this argument holds no water.

First play for the Saints agaist the Pats was a big downfield completion to Olave for 53 yards. Nothing fancy, he just beat his man and got open downfield.

They did that on their first play. Our offense doesn't even have the option of completing a pass like that. "Everybody eats" is a lie. It creates the illusion that we have an offense that can do anything against our opponent. But that isn't true. There are basic plays that just about every other offense has on the menu, and we don't have them. All the more shameful with maybe the best arm in NFL history leading the offense.

Are our WRs good? No. But at some point Brady needs to find a way to get them open down the field.

The Patriots are completing 50 yard passes to some guy named Pop Douglas.

Everyone eats was created to make up for the fact that we have a mediocre WR room. Funny how it doesn't apply to the RB or TE rooms.

Beane deserves so much criticism for the WR talent (or lack thereof) he's put around Josh the last few years. Instead he put his efforts into fixing a defense that has only gotten worse.

So far today with time still remaining:

DK Metcalf - 95 yards 1 TD

George Pickens - 168 yards 1 TD

It's not too late for Beane to rectify his offseason mistake. But failing to trade for a legit WR very clearly WAS a mistake. It's getting to be undeniable at this point.

Yeah, but can you imagine what it would be like if they had some diva like that? They’d want the ball thrown their way. It could blow the whole thing up!! The Bills score lots of points. We need to fix the defense. I’d like to see them use their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th round picks on defense. Also, I’d like to see them allocate most of their FA dollars there as well. It just makes sense…

The whole “everybody eats” approach might sound like balance, but it’s really the football version of saying you’ve got two starting quarterbacks.  It's a diplomatic way of admitting you don’t have one true game-changer. I don’t want to hear it anymore.

When the commentators talked about it on Sunday night like it was a good thing, I completely lost it. Either the organization is lying to itself, or they think we as a fan base are clueless. Consider this my therapeutic vent, a realization that the front office is failing this roster and its fans.  Like the Eagles, this team could easily be 3-2, 2-3. They just don't pass the eye test.

On the bright side, no one team looks unbeatable this year. I’d say maybe 4–6 teams have a real shot to win it all.  So, why not the Bills!?!?

Could easily be undefeated right now too with quite a few injuries on defense.  Everybody eats doesn't rely as much on a player taking a night off.  It's cute that Diggs had a great game against us but man I wish we had that fire in the playoffs.  His pregame interview was absolutely disgusting.
