billsintaiwan Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He's definitely a guy who make us have to win games. No more gimmees against NE for awhile. 1 Quote
HomeTeam Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He played great. First time watching him play for me and he definitely passed the eye test. He was eager to go out there and lead that final 2 minute drive, which is always positive. Overall I'm not worried about the Patriots this year but they are definitely building something. Vrabel also had his defense playing and hitting hard. They played better than us last night that's for sure. 1 Quote
bills6969 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He reminds me of a less explosive/reckless version of Allen Quote
boyst Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Yeah, cool but we're going to curb stomp then when we go to New England. 1 1 Quote

Maybe.. I have it down as an L Have since before the season started.. we don’t know how either team will look that week health wise.. Quote
LDD Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Maye played very well and adapted to a defense that tried to give him different looks. Vrabel won with less in Tennessee. So, not looking forward to Maye getting more and more comfortable. Reminded me more of a Burrow type than Allen...tactician of sorts. 1 Quote

947 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Maye played rally well, but I have a feeling any competent QB would look like that vs our D yesterday. Receivers open by 5 yards and wide open lanes to scramble to your right make the job pretty simple. When has Josh ever played against a defense that just gave it to him like that? If Josh played against McD's Defensive scheme, he'd put up 40+ by halftime. Quote

Burrow with an O line that won’t get him killed week in and week out. What impressed me is how well the rookies did for the Pats last night we may finally have had a good draft lmao Quote

He's an elite CB. Quote

Sorry Success I meant our starting RT and RG both are rookies and I thought they did well as did our Rookie kicker. 1 Quote
TheBrownBear Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He was good considering the circumstances (2nd year, on road in OP, SNF), but nothing he did wowed me or struck any fear in me. Now, that may still come, but last night wasn't it. Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago In a Bills fantasy league chat I posted several times during the game that I got to give credit where credit was due for being a big time throw or some kind of Allen-esque type play. He isn't there yet, but the kid has some traits I really liked coming out of college, and quite honestly he is further along in his mechanics than where Josh was in his 2nd year when Josh was still struggling with accuracy. He isn't going to be the next "Allen", because I don't think anyone is, Allen is that good. But the kid has impressed me where he is at and I think he has a bright future. And anytime a young player plays well in an upset win in primetime it always gets magnified. But end of the day, Bills should have won this game by 2-3 scores, and easily, had it no been for 3 self inflicted turnovers. NE and Maye still dont have the fire power to hang if we don't beat ourselves, but the kid deserves credit, he played well and led a game winning drive. Quote
Livinginthepast Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He made some great plays no doubt but was aided and abetted by the Bills horrendous secondary who didnt seem to break their zone despite the fact that Maye was scrambling. Shaq Thompson on Diggs for that 4th Q miracle catch allowed Diggs to get open, catch the ball then break free after he whiffed on the tackle for a huge first down. if that wasnt bad enough 3 Bills (including Benford) just stood there and allowed Diggs to come to them instead of moving forward to meet him before the first down line. Had any of the 3 moved even 2 or 3 yards up they might have stopped him but they were clueless. The play that followed where there was no pressure and soft coverage allowed Boutte to make an easy catch and gain 25 yards for an easy FG. 25 Yards pitch and catch with the game on the line and the Bills made it so easy. 1 Quote
BullBuchanan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He was elite yesterday, but you could fill a book with the names of athletes who had great games. The key is doing it all the time over the course of a season and then a career. That's much more rarified air, and not something he's doing yet. Quote

I wouldnt be so sure about that, coaching dose matter in this league and coaching from here on goes to new England, McDermott just is not it. Likely never winning the AFC with him as coach 1 Quote

Murdox Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago Sadly, Maye had a much easier defense to go against than Allen did. 1 1 Quote
LABILLBACKER Posted 45 minutes ago Posted 45 minutes ago (edited) It would've been nice to see Babich force Maye to roll out just once to his left. They allowed constant roll outs to his throwing side all night long. Edited 40 minutes ago by LABILLBACKER Quote

You know what’s funny when I even semi suggested the Pats had a tougher defense I got screamed at by Bills fans.. who insisted the Ravens were much tougher for the Bills in week 1. 😂 Quote
