The only thing I have been beating myself up about is if I were to go it would be a memory that my grandson & I would have for the rest of our lives which would be priceless & if by chance the Chiefs would beat the Bills in that game I would never here the end of it from him but that is in part a piece of the fun is our little in family rivalry .

 

 I may not baulk at it so much if these were say in the lower bowl of the stadium but these tickets are in the nose bleed section on the second or upper deck that usually sell for somewhere around $90 which isn't terrible considering all the other things you pay for with food, drink, parking and such .

 

I watched a video yesterday with Kid Rock talking about Ticket master, which are the ones I was going to go through for the extra 2 tickets for some friends and he was saying they don't want anyone to buy direct from the source they want it to be a resale ticket because some way they get a piece of the higher price on the secondary sale .

 

Not exactly sure how that works but if that is the way it goes there needs to be some kind of cap or rule put in place to stop that from happening .

The ACC, formerly Maple Leaf Gardens for the Leafs back in the day, used to be the "working man's arena"........blue collar guys could get tickets at half decent prices and a couple of beers without breaking the bank. Owners and investors have figured out where the true money is coming from and have swung towards more of a corporate type thing, where it prices the average person out of the seats.

 

The pendulum has swung in favor of the money, not really the fan anymore and don't expect it to swing back towards the fans/consumer anytime soon........owners don't answer to the fans anymore, they answer to the investors and it's the "almighty" dollar that holds the bottom line.

We spent about twice that on tickets for the four of us at the opener in the lower bowl. (My wife is neither patient nor frugal when it comes to purchasing tickets.) We could have waited, I’m sure, to get the ticket prices down but it was a decision we made. 

 

While I’m looking forward to attending the Monday night game in Atlanta with family, the opener proved to me once again how much better the viewing experience is at home. If the price really annoys me, I’ll gladly just stay home. It’s better at home in so many ways I don’t feel the need to stretch myself on tickets too often.

Mine were not, I've got clubs currently. The equivalent seats they showed me during the process was about $3,000 more than I'm paying currently.

Yes. in the long run the Bills will be proven right by having smaller capacity. It will be fine.  In the short run, while the team is very good and with the novelty of wanting to experience the new stadium... fans will pump of the prices of tickets on the secondary markets to extremely high levels. 

 

Speaking of high prices, I just paid $300/ea for the Saints game tickets, lower level corners and the Bucs and Chiefs are way more.  So the outrageous prices are in full swing to say goodbye to Rich Stadium.

Corporations buying up real estate, driving up prices so the aerage person can no longer buy a house. Grocery prices through the roof. College tuition has become so expesive it's shocking. Tickets to concerts & live events cost a small fortune. Subscription services increasing prices faster than ever. 

 

It's effecting every hobby.

 

Like for mine - Video games & video game consoles used to go DOWN in price. Not anymore! You got Microsoft raising prices on 5 year old hardware twice in the same year. Nintendo raising prices on 9 year consoles. Games were $60 for 15 years, now they've gone up to $70 & $80 in just the last 5 (plus tons of in-game microtransactions & DLC).

 

So don't get mad at the Bills. They're just keeping up with the Jones' (and Jerry Jones').

The video game thing was more to the fact of the tariffs. Stuff didn't get cheaper, it got more expensive.

Las Vegas isn't about cheap food, inexpensive drinks and living like a king for a few days of gambling anymore.  With $16 Budweiser's, resort fees higher than room rates and $150 buffets the 'average' tourist is being priced out.  The Corporations that run Las Vegas are making higher profits with less people coming to town.  The wealthy and high rollers are  now their target guests.

 

It seems to me the Bills are using the same strategy with the new stadium.  Fewer seats, seat licenses and much higher ticket prices are making it difficult for the 'average' fan to attend a game.  The people that filled the 80,000 seats in Rich Stadium and now 70,000 seats are being left out.  They aren't needed anymore!  The Bills will make more profit with fewer fans to deal with.

 

I think we'll miss the days of raucous, crazy fans cheering on the Bills!

As someone who regularly goes to Disney, $4000 would be if you drive there, stay at a budget hotel off site, and eat PB&J sandwiches. And yet, you still can’t move half the time when in the parks because of how crowded they are. Completely baffles me.

many Americans (and people all around the world) are addicted to consumerism and lifestyle creep, enabling businesses to charge exorbitant amounts for stuff like this.

 

What really boils my blood is the price of essentials like healthcare, car insurance, and utilities getting jacked up regularly (and the process of those increases is pretty much cheered on by government at all levels).

Supply and demand is more appropriate here. The fans are willing to spend on the product. I talked to a high ranking Bills official not too long ago that said they are ahead of schedule with the sales in the new stadium. They wanted to be done by next summer but it’ll be closer to the end of this season. 
 

I can only speak for myself when it comes to the new stadium. As a regular guy, I had a limit to what I was willing to spend. I declined the first offering and a week later, found seats that met my needs and budget. That’s how this works. No one is forcing anyone to buy in or not. If you can’t afford it, that’s life. I’d love to drive a Lamborghini around but it’s not realistic so I don’t. I don’t begrudge Lamborghini for pricing me out of the market. Their job is to make as much money as they can. It’s the same concept…
