High end players who want to win and Browning gives them absolutely no chance it seems. Powder keg waiting to explode. Edited Wednesday at 05:01 PM by SCBills 2 1 Quote

Right, I think everyone under the sun is expecting that they do... it makes total sense... then you remember, oh wait, they are the Bengals... so... who knows where they end up... but tbh, if this kid sh#$s the bed again this week... they have got to do something... May Day 10 Posted Wednesday at 05:15 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:15 PM Not a strong chance. I think the ESPN odds have them over 70%. Down a great deal from near certainty like they seemed to be. But they should be in. Would need Jax, NE, Indy, Pitt, and Denver to all surpass them (or stay past them I guess). Quote

Those odds will change dramatically if they lose this week to Houston. Quote
Rigotz Posted Wednesday at 05:49 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:49 PM I'm pretty certain they'll find a way to make the playoffs. More importantly, I'm also pretty certain they're not going to be a threat to the #1 seed. That's the exciting part for me. Quote

AverageAllensSuspensor Posted Wednesday at 05:53 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:53 PM Their defense looks absolutely horrific. They need to score every drive to win games. I think they will miss the play offs. Quote

It would be grade A entertaining to watch what Winston’s TD to INT ratio would be with those weapons 1 2 Quote

Every loss will make things look bleaker by orders of magnitude. That Houston loss would also tick against them for a possible tie breaker (for a wild card). Then , can they beat the Rams and bears without Lamar (possibly)? If they dropped to 2-5 or 1-6, their margin for error would be very thin. Quote

Don't underestimate Mike Brown. Burrow's injury gives him total cover for however bad the Bengals are. All he has to say is, "Well, we didn't have Joe Kool ...". IMO, the Bengals would have barely made the playoffs even if Burrow had played most of the season. Their defense was historically bad last season, and it had barely improved this year. They would have had to score 30+ points every single game to have a chance to win, and against good offensive teams, they'd have to have put 40 burgers. Burrow's injury simply postponed the Bengals fans learning the truth that their OL is trash, their defense is sewage, and their owner is laughing all the way to the bank. 1 Quote

aristocrat Posted Wednesday at 06:53 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:53 PM Their schedule after the bye is cake but they can’t afford a loss in there Quote
LabattBlue Posted Wednesday at 07:00 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:00 PM Whether it is Winston, Wilson or Cousins, any of the 3 would be a massive improvement over Browning and keep their playoff hopes alive…assuming their goal is to get in the playoffs? 😂 Quote
corta765 Posted Wednesday at 07:09 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:09 PM If they hit their bye 3-3 they can still win the division to the point I have confidence they do. If they are 2-4 I still think they make the playoffs as long as Lamar is back healthy although the division might be a bit of a reach with PIT already 3-1 but you never know. Biggest thing is they can't be 1-5 come bye week. They have a ton of injuries, but if they can just get a W coming up and then heal up through the bye they can get back in it pretty quick with that schedule. WITH all of that said, this is why it is stupid when the NFL media crowns a team as the one to beat with zero blemishes etc. The Ravens had near perfect health last year to the point Barnwell's recent piece covers it was historically good. Variance is real with health and turnovers and no team is flawless. The Ravens to me always were an 11-6/12-5 team because it is extremely difficult even if your great to win 13-14 games year in year out without issue and teams that do typically have a lot of luck mixed in. The bigger question is Harbaugh and if they don't make it or they fail again come post season what happens. They have the look of a team that is fading on confidence with the coach and he has been there an awful long time without breaking through again. I do not get the sense the locker room backs here nearly the way the Bills does with McD who similarly has not broken through with good teams. 1 Quote

Buffalo716 Posted Wednesday at 07:23 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:23 PM Should I play the Houston Texans D against the Ravens ? Or are they going to rally Quote

If Lamar doesn't play, then they will run the ball with Henry probably getting around 25 carries or so and the team overall around 40 carries would be my guess. Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted Wednesday at 07:36 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:36 PM Its likely going to come down to how the Bengals season did last year. Bengals slow start put them well behind and they had to fight for every game down the stretch to squeeze in, but ultimately came up short. It would be really big if they can steal at least 1 win while Lamar is out. If Lamar misses 2 weeks and comes back to a 1-5 team, that is going to be a much tougher hill to climb than 2-4. And if Lamar misses 3 games and they lose all 3, I don't think that team came come back from that and still make the playoffs. Not impossible, but very doubtful. 1 Quote

Even if they go 1-5 to start, 10-7 will still get them in the playoffs which I think they will ultimately do BF, I could see them being 2-4 and finishing up at 12-5 and eclipsing the Steelers. Seriously. 1 Quote
