He proved those concerns were unfounded. Were the concerns that Cooper Dejean may have to move to safety also racist? 1 2 1

I agree, but unfortunately this is the direction of the world lately. In my generation we would have been mocked by even our friends for it. I have seen stats that look unbelievably ridiculous, as in about 50% of this current generation have their parents regularly talk to their boss. I don't want to believe it, but my personal experience says it's true. Helicopter and Snowplow parents make their kids weak and prevent them from truly growing up. 1
ddaryl Posted Thursday at 01:00 PM Posted Thursday at 01:00 PM (edited) If he was good enough to be a leader and win games for Cleveland right now they would be playing him. If what Rex is saying that he is not putting in the time then that is why he is not playing. 6 minutes ago, Long Suffering Fan said: I agree, but unfortunately this is the direction of the world lately. I do not believe the 50% number, that seems like a rediculosly inflated number designed to make people feel outrage. I do believe this happens but I do not beleive that it is even close to 1:2. I know lots of friends and co-workers who have children and none of them ever say anything about chimining in with thier kids boss. Even Johnny Mox Moxon was better than Jackson, and he should have definitely changedp ositions. google Shane Falco. your entire argument is as ridiculous as you just blindly saying Shane Falco should have changed positions. Same with Ryan Leaf. Leaf didn't have the temperament but he was a damn good college qb and all of the tools you're trying to argue about Briscoe when it's been 60 years+ it is worse than Fluite/Johnson my god... you're ... just hilarious.

Dejean was never going to be a quarterback in the NFL, a position change was his only path. “Concerns” how about attacking his mother for not hiring an agent? As recently as last week on this site one poster called Lamar stupid, another expressed his hatred for Jackson. Have you ever asked yourself why the reaction to Jackson is so virulent? He seems to be a model citizen, no sexual assaults, no domestic violence, no nothing. So what is it about him that engenders such hatred, make no mistake, it is hatred. Since you and others seem determined to make the what about the white guy argument. Why no hatred Joe Burrow? He’s a grown man that dresses up in costumes before games. I’m just using Joe as an example. I don’t know him, any more than any of the people that have vilified Jackson know him. 1
Gugny Posted Thursday at 01:40 PM Posted Thursday at 01:40 PM I’ll tell you one thing …. Give Ted Nolan a few hours alone with Shedeur’s mom and let him do to her what he did to EJ’s mom. That’ll shut her up. You heard?

I’m sorry, you brought up Shane Falco, a fictional character, no offense to Keanu Reeves, but he is probably a better quarterback than actor. You also brought up Ryan Leaf changing positions, which he did. He changed from quarterback to criminal. Tebow may have actually had an NFL career had he changed positions. I brought up Briscoe to see who would take the bait, the same things were said about Briscoe in the 1968, as were said in 2018, and are still being said in 2025, about Jackson. In a previous post you clearly stated that you “hated” Lamar Jackson, why is that? Is it because of off field behavior? Is there something you know that no one else knows? Do you know Jackson personally? In this thread you presented the argument that whenever a Black person is challenged or has a disagreement, they claim racism. Is it your position that racism doesn’t exist? As to Sanders’s mother’s comments. She was replying to Rex Ryan’s comments. Do you have specific knowledge as to Rex’s motives? I have no idea if Rex Ryan was racially motivated or not. As to what Sanders’s mother believes, or has knowledge of regarding Ryan, is speculation. I believe Ryan is a blow hard, that stole Terry Pegula’s money, but that’s my opinion. As to your finding me “hilarious”, I could honestly care less. Racism is real, it is as real today as it was 50 years ago. It is a cancer, that leads to events like the shooting at Tops Market. As a society we can accept that and work towards change, or we can pretend it doesn’t exist, which will keep us in an endless cycle of hatred.

Billsatlastin2018 Posted Thursday at 02:52 PM Posted Thursday at 02:52 PM There is a really FINE line in the sand today, drawn by the public for Sports Star Athletes, who because of the grotesque increases in franchise values, have been made mega millionaires. And when you become elevated to the status of Josh Allen and are already worth $350M in your mid 20s, DON’T act or say things in public which make you look like an entitled #######! DON’T! It does not go over well with ordinary fans, especially when you’ve NEVER ACCOMPLISHED anything in life! And tell your fool entitled family to STFU as well. It only adds to the disdain people have for you. Act like Allen did when he got married… in a relatively quiet, professional manner… just as he does on the field. And lest you think, this advice has a race bias, it does not. Jalen Hurts (a Super Bowl Champion… not a Rookie) and in the ballpark of talent and wealth of Josh, also got married this year. You probably didn’t know that, because you didn’t hear a peep about that event either. Grow some class Sanders and stop acting like an ass! This does not help your prospects.

Unfortunately, my experience with my businesses is that 50% is probably accurate. I'm sure there are some fields where the number is lower, but I know a hiring manager for McDonalds who tells me her experience is that it is closer to 100%. I'm sure that brings up the average.

TheFunPolice Posted Thursday at 04:05 PM Posted Thursday at 04:05 PM (edited) Stefanski apparently doesn't agree that Sanders is ready to play, because Flacco is the backup and the other rookie is starting. The team and coaches that drafted him would know better than anyone. The fact that they would bench Flacco and start a rookie QB that isn't Sanders tells you about all you need to know. All that said, with the dumpster fire that is the Browns season on offense, Sanders will almost certainly get his chance to play. I feel for Miles Garrett. HOF level player whose entire career will be wasted on terrible football teams. Edited Thursday at 04:06 PM by TheFunPolice
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted Thursday at 04:13 PM Posted Thursday at 04:13 PM Sanders was pretty clearly a value pick in that spot and they clearly didn’t like him better than Gabriel. I don’t get how this decision is surprising to anyone or anyone’s moms lol

He’d be QB2 instead of QB3 if he was close to ready. This media thing was a 3 way competition to see who could be the biggest embarrassment IMO. Sanders should’ve simply given a supportive statement about Gabriel getting the start. I’m happy he thinks he better than some starting QBs, but he needs to keep that to himself. Rex Ryan is just an idiot trying to be relevant again. He has zero information about whether or not Sanders is putting in the work or not. All accounts from Cleveland is that he is, but that’s to be taken with a big grain of salt. What else would they say? Lastly, Shadeur’s mom’s unintelligent, batshit crazy post is really the topper here. Wow. If she really felt compelled to say something she could’ve just said that Rex is clueless because her son has always been a hard worker and is continuing to bust his ass to learn in Cleveland. At least she deleted the post, but the damage was done. Hopefully she was drunk when she wrote that abomination. 9 minutes ago, TheFunPolice said: Stefanski apparently doesn't agree that Sanders is ready to play, because Flacco is the backup and the other rookie is starting.
