Bills have played sloppy football this season.  Bad tackling techniques, blown assignments and not able to stop the run.  This is the kind of game that slaps the team upside the head.  IF the Bills continues playing that way Sunday they will lose.   Pats are a disciplined crew.  They can play strong defense and have a good running game and efficient passing.  Bills are in for a tough contest with an up and coming team.

Anyone see anything on if we get Big Aed and Milano back this week?

I don't think we see Milano for at least another month, if at all this season. Oliver has not even had a practice since the injury so I am just hoping he is back for the KC game. This defense needs to get healthy and they SHOULD be able to get by the Pats, Falcons and Panthers with either of those guys.

They need to play this week like they did against the Jets. That was the one game where the Bills dominated all around. Need that type of effort Sunday night. The Pats are a middle of the pack type of team. If this game was in NE, then I could see a real chance for an upset. In OP an upset could still happen but the Bills at home are really strong. Even when they don't play their best they find ways to win like the Ravens game for example.

That "disciplined crew" had 5 turnovers in week 3.

The way many on this board seem to be so frightened about the mighty Patriots coming to town this Sunday, I don't how you'll make it through the week when much better teams like the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles come to town!

This place is always like this after a loss.

Holy crap the BBFS is in FULL EFFECT this year. Drake Meh is still a young QB. Definitely has talent, but he’s not the next coming of Josh. He’s still mistake prone and McBabich should be able to confuse the crap out of him. This will be another classic infuriating McD defensive game plan. Contained rush, stop the run, zone behind it. I’m sure they will switch it up and try and disguise things, just don’t let Drake beat us with his feet.

If neither Oliver or Milano are back within 4 games, why didn’t we put them on IR? Besides keeping opposing teams guessing, was there any other reason not to? Unless we there was wishful thinking going on that they’d heal quick but Oliver should have been a no brainer.

What gives me hope for the Bills the next couple of weeks is that they are both prime time games and the Bills seem to play their best under the bright lights.  Josh will put the cape on if he has to.

I'd be a lot more worried about the next two games if they were 1 pm Sunday kickoffs.

I'm not worried about effort, I'm worried about results.  It's not a lack of effort that's making them miss tackles

You mean to tell me you aren't afraid of *looks at notes* Efton Chism III at wide receiver?!?!  And Mack Hollins - Mack Hollins is amazing at.....blocking!  If it's one thing I want my starting wide receiver to be good at, it's.....blocking

I wouldnt say the board is frightened as much as acknowledging that the Bills will have their hands full especially with the defensive woes and lack of big play ability on O. The Patriots will be a good health check before we get into the real fights with the teams you mentioned.

Of course we have the better chance to win but Vrabel can craft a plan to give us fits. I think this is good. We have been coasting through the AFCE lately and a little challenge will be a good thing.

yep - I see it this way too. This will be a tough game just like the Miami and the NO games were.

Cripes - people were saying "rest our starters at half" for the Saints game.

The Pats are the best team we face since Balt in week 1. It won't be easy but I do think we will be disciplined enough to win.

and a Pats fan can...ahem.. check notes and say "are you afraid of Palmer/Moore/Coleman" just as easy as we can pick apart their bottom feeders. They have a great TE, they have 2 very good WR's if Diggs shows up. Good coaching. Good lines. Gonna be a game bud... get ready! GO BILLS!

I get that it's a division game, but I'm starting to think the Pats hype is a bit out of hand - both here & nationally.

It just seems like a lot of that is based on scoring 42 last week.  And some thought the Panthers had turned a corner because of their previous week. But that's a bad team. I watched the highlights - it almost looked like they hadn't practiced this year.  The special teams play was abysmal, and Young didn't look like a pro QB.

The Pats lost to Pittsburgh & the Raiders.  If a guy doesn't step out of bounds by an inch or so, they would have lost to Miami.  We're a mile better than them, we're at home, we usually play great in primetime, and we're coming off of a somewhat lackluster effort which should be motivating.

I still think the jury is out on Maye.  He plays great when the line protects him.  Any team that can get pressure on him can cause turnovers, and I think our line will keep great pressure on him all day. Their O-line is weak in a few spots.

I think NE is closer to NO and Miami than they are to us (heck the miami game was very close with them).  I dont think they have a good running game (30th in YPA) and their defense gives up a lot of passing yards (28th in YPA) and scoring drives (27th in Sc%). They are better than the last two teams and we need to play better to come away with a two score win.  However, we have lots of room to improve and I think the focus will be tight this week given the gravity of the game.

I still want to know who the f*** stepped on Ed accidentally.

It was probably Taylor Rapp, wasn’t it… 🤬
