Rich Stadium Original Posted Sunday at 09:53 PM Posted Sunday at 09:53 PM Say what you like about the defensive scheme and play calling, but these stats courtesy of NextGen and the NFL review of the game show in many (but not all cases) the defense was in position but just couldn't make the play. Courtesy NFL.com: Yielding 189 yards on the ground, Buffalo allowed 165 yards rushing after contact, the third-most by a team in a game since at least 2018, according to Next Gen Stats 7 5 3 Quote
GunnerBill Posted Sunday at 10:00 PM Posted Sunday at 10:00 PM The tackling was ATROCIOUS today. There is plenty to criticise on the coaching. I thought both coordinators had poor days playcalling. But the fundamentals of tackling were just abysmal. 4 20 1 Quote
Simon Posted Sunday at 10:06 PM Posted Sunday at 10:06 PM NO was still on its first possession when I started making cracks about how much the boys were going to enjoy running hours and hours of tackling drills this week. 6 1 2 Quote

Ethan in Cleveland Posted Sunday at 10:26 PM Posted Sunday at 10:26 PM Bosa got worked in the run game today. They need to stick with the 4-3 longer and when Milano comes back they need to play Shaq over Dorian. Stop with the man coverage. There is no speed at all in the back 7. No idea why you would want to play man. Play zone. Keep Maye contained. Hope you stay undefeated the next two weeks to give Oliver time to heal and get Hoecht back. 5 2 Quote

I'd like to know what the hell type of play call has a DE out wide on an island with an RB but no help supporting him so consistently? If the DE misses the tackle, there is literally no one else for 10 yards. Edited Sunday at 10:27 PM by Big Turk 1 2 Quote
Bermuda Triangle Posted Sunday at 10:26 PM Posted Sunday at 10:26 PM It’s a personnel issue, IMO 1 Quote
Jester Posted Sunday at 10:29 PM Posted Sunday at 10:29 PM So many bad tackles: straight whiffs, bad tackling, taking the wrong angle. *yikes* 3 1 Quote
DeltaDigital Posted Sunday at 10:41 PM Posted Sunday at 10:41 PM Championship level O with nobody on defense that can change the game 6 Quote
LABILLBACKER Posted Sunday at 10:46 PM Posted Sunday at 10:46 PM This team over the last 5 years has been notoriously bad at tackling. Nothing today surprised me. We literally rely on late game turnovers and keeping plays in front of us. We're winning while playing uninspired football. I don’t know how long it lasts but getting 5 defensive players back should help. 4 4 1 Quote

Some of the D calls today made no sense whatsoever. 2 2 Quote

Billsfanatic8989 Posted Sunday at 11:27 PM Posted Sunday at 11:27 PM We will lose if this is the tackling we get against New England. They aren't great. But they are definitely better than the Saints. And their QB is much better than Rattler. 2 Quote
