sven233 Posted Sunday at 08:26 PM Posted Sunday at 08:26 PM Honestly, the players came through overall. There were ups and downs for all of them, but in the end, they made the plays that mattered. Allen, Shakir, Cook, all did their jobs. While the run defense was pitiful, they finally got the pass rush going the last 2 drives. We need to get Ed healthy ASAP. Bosa had an OK game overall, but man.....he showed he can be the difference maker we need in crunch time with the pass rushes he had down the stretch. I will have to watch the tape to see how he played most of the game, but Bishop made a game changing play at the end of the half. And, here's my weekly shout out to Hawes. What a difference maker he is for this offense. Does all the dirty things well and is serviceable enough in the pass game to make a big play every week. Love watching that kid block, though. The down? Easy.... the coaching staff. McDermott and both coordinators had a tough day I think. Yes, we scored 30 again. I get that. But man, some of the play calls on offense in the middle of that game were head-scratching. And the defense was shredded all day except for the last drive and a half. And finally, the offensive line I thought had their worst game of the season so far. Allen was constantly pressured. They opened up a couple nice holes for Cook, but Cook made them look better than they were today. We missed Brown badly. 1 1 1 Quote

And the Saints may not be a good team, but they do have some very talented players (Olave, Kamara, Demario Davis, Cam Jordan, Juwan Johnson, C Erik McCoy, Rasheed Shaheed, the rookie corner Sanker looked pretty good, etc.). They are going to make some plays. Props to the defense for shutting them down in the 4th quarter (and with no Oliver or Milano). The Saints last 3 possessions were field goal, downs, downs. I got: Josh Cook Shakir Bosa Bernard Bishop Shout outs: Not just from today, but man, I really like Dorian Strong's toughness and tackling (4 solo tackles today). Tre seemed to have a bit of an up and down game, but he did have 7 tackles, 1 TFL, and the big stop on 4th down. As to the rookies, along with Strong, Hawes and Walker are looking like players....and even Sanders had a nice tackle today. This rookie class could be very strong if they keep up this progress (and we haven't even seen Hairston yet). Taking the positives from a not-so-pretty win. 4-0 baby! Go Bills! 1 Quote

That took some guts. Good on him. 1 Quote

I think Freddie called the game balls pretty well. might give one to A.J. Epenesa, good play at the end I thought about taking someone off the board and giving it to Epenesa, but no, I just couldn't give it to a guy who comes up big in garbage time. 2 1 Quote
