We are so undersized on defense, especially the second and third level. We love Bernard, but are we serious here. He's a slow strong safety playing in the middle. How long’s that going to last. Benford is normal sized. Everyone else… literally all the 7on7 defenders are tiny.

The defense pretty much stinks. We were finger tipping inch away from trailing, at home, in the fourth quarter, against THAT team and QB. The defense stinks.

I don't care how bad the defense was today. It has little to do how good they will be in January.

But the defense every single year looks worse in January. I want to buy this narrative but what reason is there to expect a different outcome?

We need to add a downfield WR. This defense and this coaching staff is not going to suddenly fix itself by the time the playoffs roll around. So we need to be able to score 40 points against any opponent to have a real chance. It's too late to add Metcalf but maybe New Orleans will be willing to part with Rashid Shaheed. There needs to be some kind of addition made on that side of the ball or else I just don't think we can get it done this year.

You keep mentioning Shaheed. Granted I know nothing about him other than numbers but those numbers indicate that there is like zero percent chance that adding him would increase our SB odds by more than 0,1% or so. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

And saying that not adding on offensive side might cost us SB this year after we scored 30+ in each game so far seems weird to me.

Because we might be getting guys back instead of losing them going forward.

Watched that game.   Vikings defense was porous.  80 yard pass play today pads the stats for Metcalf.

The problem is we don't have a WR capable of an 80 yard pass play. That is exactly what this offense is missing to put them over the top.

Shakir had 77 yards against the Jets on a very similar play...against "Sauced" Gardner.

Do we have one deep completion to a wr downfield going away this season?

I actually thought the D settled down nicely after a rough start. If the O had continued some ball control And running in that second quarter, this would have been a blowout.

i think Brady and Josh were just antsy, trying too early for that knock-out punch.

Josh just referred to Jackson Hawes as “Hawes-y” in his post game interview and it’s grits for Knox. He had a good run as the #1 BSF/ TE position but we have a younger, cheaper, better version now and he has a hockey nickname.

And hockey personality.

I don't think Shaheed is a great player by any means but he gives our offense the vertical element that it just doesn't have right now. Defenses are daring us to beat them deep and we can't do it.

The one playoff opponent we faced we had to score 41 to beat them. My fear is that it will be like that against any Super Bowl contender and we don't have enough juice right now to do that consistently.

I dun care how bad they looked at times, it's the NFL and a win is a win...next!

P.S We have a QB that put the cape on at any time and take the game over, gotta love it!

Agree but the defenses inability to stop the run and not get off the field in 3 or 4th down situations is troubling.

It seemed like Rattler had a great game, but he only threw for 122 yards😀 He was mostly mistake-free, which is something…

I think the game plan was to chuck the ball down the field more than previous games. I saw Allen's first read was a deep pass a number of times, but it just wasnt open enough for him to pull the trigger.

Of course, he may have been a little gun shy after the INT  as well.

I don't like the whole "a win's a win" mindset.

Heard that after so many games in 2022. People just ignored & hand-waved away the glaring issues this team had just because they got the win, only for them to show up immediately in the playoffs.

At this point in the season, it's fine. "A win's a win" in week 4.

But if we're still saying that in week 10 or week 14, then how you play in those wins actually matters much more.

Of course the team has issues.  But a win is better than a loss.  Or do you think it's better they should lose?
